Author has written 24 stories for Harry Potter, Supernatural, Inheritance Cycle, Lord of the Rings, Twilight, and Stargate: SG-1. Hey, y'all! If you really want to know about me, I'm a twenty-three year old Christian girl from someplace down South (not dumb enough to say where) and I'm a recent college graduate with an English major and a minor in Psychology. I am about to enter a very intense nursing program while also working three part time jobs. No, I'm not kidding. My life is insane, but it's definitely getting better! I love almost all fantasy, especially Lord of the Rings, Twilight, Harry Potter, and the all time best writer in the world, Robin McKinley. "The Blue Sword" is absolutely amazing...I've worn out three copies of that book so far, and I'm not sick of it yet! Anyway, I've wanted to be a writer all my life. I have a bunch of notebooks that are full of the goofy stories I wrote in the second grade. I'm actually published -- an essay that I wrote about my sister was published in a compilation of stories about the Make-A-Wish Foundation. I would like reviews, but don't just burn me because you don't agree with my views. The reason I'm called BlindingFirefly is because I've gone totally nuts over a U2 song, called "City of Blinding Lights." The poetic images in that song are amazing; I highly recommend it. Some of the lyrics are "city lit by fireflies", "I've seen you walk afraid, I've see you in the clothes you made, but you see the beauty inside of me" and "flash bulbs and purple irises the camera can't see." My pen name is obviously from the name of the song and my favorite line. For future reference, I love dogs, flowers (especially daffodils), spring, and rainy days. I'm also crazy afraid of the dark, and I hate large groups of people. I prefer a few really good relationships rather than a huge crowd that is made up of people that mean absolutely nothing to me. I'm a music nut; I've been playing the piano since I was six, and I also played the clarinet in a band for a number of years, and I love to sing. Altos rock! A note on the condition of my stories: My "Let Music Be My Magic" series will probably not be finished at this time. I hesitate to put it on permanent hiatus, but it is most definitely on hiatus. I learned so much through writing those stories, but I look back now and I'm embarrassed over the plotlines. Perhaps someday I can completely rewrite them and try again, but don't look for any updates any time soon. Wren Gallgher is also doing quite well...but only in my mind. I haven't been able to update for a while because my old computer died and I lost some stuff. I'm having trouble dealing with the devastation! Still, hopefully once my Twilight craze runs its course, I can get back to Wren and see what she has to tell me. Her story is in "Identity," which is still a developing plot in my mind. "Waise Heill" is now on permanent hiatus. I reread the Eragon books and realized how flawed my story structure was. To fix it all would be a massive undertaking, and I'm just not inspired enough to attempt it. My apologies to those who liked it. Many thanks to those who have made "Nightfall" my most popular story...at least until Ivy Tree came out, of course. You guys have been completely awesome. I'm so glad that I'm able to post the final chapter now--I'm kind of in shock that I finished it! For those who enjoyed "Nightfall" and my other Twilight oneshots, please, check out my new story, "Ivy Tree." I'm writing it with my sister, hopeisabluebird, and I think it's positively amazing. Leave us some love! And go check out Bluebird's page! Her stuff puts mine to shame. Here's the link, should it choose to show itself: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1821307/ Blessings! BlindingFirefly |
