Long-Time Fic Reader. Fledgeling Fic Writer.
For the love of the Fire and Wind Dragons
Hello to everyone, this is Virande. Female, 18.
Writing: I write, write like there is no tomorrow. The readers are my judges. To them I say: be merciless. I appreciate feedback and suggestions. Annex a flame, an insult, whatever pleases you, but say something. I publish most of what I write (hopefully not often, but junk turns up sometimes too - when it's in dire need of help) a reason, and that is improvement. It could sit and gather dust in MS Word, away from ridicule and laughs, but dust isn't a particularly talkative reviewer.
Preferences: Though I like many, many manga/anime/books (these especially)/programs, I've only been moved to write by a few . In fact, until I truly began to look at fan fiction closely (almost three years ago), I utterly despised all of it and thought it was a waste of time. But that's changed since.
I have favorite couples, characters and story genres, and of course I gravitate towards those, but I try to give everything a chance. Anything written with thought, proper spelling/grammar and respecting the characters is fine in my books.
Because that's what Fan-fiction is in the end, isn't it? Admirers who decided to try their hand at writing the character/s they (we) fell for. Where's that when we just spew and make it all a mess?
(That, simply put, means that I don't like Mary-Sues, Gary-Stus, and the horrible attempts at murder done to language that we see published here so often)
The "Insight" Series ('Experimental' on good days, 'nightmare' on bad ones):
- Treatise On Merit (Haruno Sakura)
- Atypical (Uzumaki Naruto)
Fandom Notes: Still indefinitely away from Naruto. I think I lost my spark for writing it. XS, however, is in full strength. I'm looking for time to write a manifesto for the Rai x Kim pairing.
