Hey, everyone. So, I decided to tell you a bit more about me... Shameless self promotion ;) I'm 27. In my freetime, I watch TV (obviously), I listen to music, I try to regularly work out, and I just love to dance. And write Fanictions of course. Okay, That's enough about me. if you have any questions about me, feel free to PM me. That's about it.
Profile Picture: I found this Post-It in a bookshop in Germany, well hidden under an Audio Book of Sherlock Holmes collected stories. If YOU are the writer of this post-it, let me know if you want to be credited. If you don't want, please know that this totally made my day.
My CSI MIAMI OC: Nicole Ferguson
So, yeah, I use an OC. Why? Because I am fed up with what the writers did to Miami's characters. Especially to Ryan, who really is all alone on that show. So I figured, the man needs a friend. Just a friend. There will never be a love relationship between Ryan Wolfe and Nicole Ferguson. Friendship is better.
So, I asked myself the question if Nicole is a Mary Sue. Apparently, Mary Sues are based on the author's character. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you about that. My name is not Nicole Ferguson. Not even close to that. I chose the name cause I like Nicole Scherzinger and BEP Fergie. Hence also my screen name. I'm not British. I don't have red hair, I'm a natural blonde. The only thing Nicole and I share is the love for animals and the same music. Why? Cause I like that music. And I'm not going to make Nicole a metalhead or RaveQueen just to make her different from me. You gotta live with that. If that already makes her a Mary Sue, be it. Then, Mary Sues eat up other character's time and are the centre of everything. Okay, I don't use much of the rest of the CSI Miami team, cause, as I said, I miss team dynamics there. That's true, so she may eat up time that should be for EC or whatever. But, there's still much more Ryan in the stories than there is Nicole, and he is the one who solves the cases (of course, she does help, why else would she be there). And Mary Sues are supposed to be perfect. I don't think Nicole is. She has things where she's better than others, but there is a reason for it. Just like some of you are prolly better footballers than me cause you practise, she's flexible cause she goes to ballet and dancing a lot. I think that is still realistic. Now, it's up to you to decide if you see my OC as a Mary Sue. If you do, then don't read my stories, cause you have been warned.
I, me.fergie, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.
I have joined the review revolution.
