Author has written 23 stories for Kim Possible. Just your typical victim of a degree in the Humanities. Beginning the process of getting a Teaching Certificate after years in the wilderness of sales and part time teaching. I've also decided to return to writing fiction. Kim Possible has the distinction shared with the old Star Blazers of being favorites that I had vowed never to watch. I guess KP has the allure of a flawed. but not tragically flawed, hero. Her quirks and weaknesses are so believable that it makes the strengths of the character that much more real. As for the old Star Blazers, I would have followed Leader Desslok without question, even though it would probably lead to disaster. I've returned to writing for much the same reason Ishmael returns to the sea. Very therapeutic, and you meet some very interesting people, and get to sample their work in a way that was impossible even a few years ago. 2008 Fannies: Six nominations this year, up from three (in two categories) last year. And I got Best Writer! Got to say, that leaves me jazzed. As for why I've done my particular stories: RONICUS SERIES: At this time includes Ronicus ad Porta and Ronicus Ibericus, Ronicus et Leo is now under way. What else would you expect from someone who has held charcoal from the naval dock of Carthage in his hand, whose favorite computer game is The Great Battles of Hannibal, who willingly admits to having bought a copy of Elvis songs in Latin, and this year will read to his son Quomodo Invidiousulus Nomine Grinchius Christi Natalem Abrogaverit? THE SHEGO STORIES: Not tied together yet. The ones so far have all been one-shots based on a few notes. The main story will come out some day. My take on her seems slightly different than most, and I mean to pursue it to see how people feel. GREEN AND BLUE, BROTHER!: Just a little revenge on MrDrP. (Who sent me the Masked Warrior icon, many thanks there.) Always wanted to do a musical. RONMAN THE BARBARIAN!: Some things you just can't explain. NIGHTS IN THE BIG CITY: For all you out there who won't submit until everything is 'perfect' this literally started with a mood induced by too many saxophones going off in my head. No idea where it was going when it started. I guess what I'm saying here is JUST WRITE! As for the home front. I have a firery red head of my own and a beautiful four year old boy, Asher. It was an unusual name when we picked it, I swear. And now welcome Levi to the Wizard College. |
