That's better. Starting over. I'm now 29, with a husband, a kidlet, three cats, three birds, and about 20+ fanfictions of various genres languishing on my flash drive. I have an awful habit of not having a plan for my stories and just writing, but they inevitably end up in varying degrees of completeness. As part of my resolutions for 2012, I've promised to write a chapter a month. Really, I'd like it to be a chapter a week. I promise more updates this year!
I'm a hopeless romantic. Every cell in my body screams for epic romance with a happy ending. I find romance where there is none (good example, Final Fantasy 3 DS--Arc and Refia 4eva!). There is romance in everything I write, no exceptions. It's not a hard and fast rule, just the way things end up.
I play video games, namely RPGs. 90% of my fanfiction is written for video games. I also don't play very many games, but the ones I do play I play until they beg me to stop. Expect a lot of video game fanfiction, and it will have romance (whether it's in-game or made up by me). I am a nutso for Bioware games, because they totally pioneered deep romance in games with Baldur's Gate 2, and they continue to. I can't wait to see where Mass Effect 3 takes Kaidan and FemShep, since they'll have been involved over three games (which is epic, BTW). The writers at Bioware are gods. Just sayin'.
All that said, I will be updating more this year. I promise that. I'm hoping to finish a few of the languishing fanfictions, including rewriting some that I had written in high school. I still like the premises, but I'm a way better writer now.
Now . . . on with the fanfiction!
