I have, at long last, returned to composing fanfiction. All of the kudos go to my "Intro to fictional writing" class (a lovely prerequisite toward obtaining a minor in Creative Writing). Since starting up this course, I've found myself more inspired to weave fiction than ever before...in a word, I've returned to loving to write.
As such, I fully intend to finish up DCT and to post a new InuYasha fiction that I've already begun writing. I will also continue to edit DCT and BTAC, but I cannot assure anyone faithful to the series that they will remain the same. However, since it's been about two years (or more) since I've updated either, I've got a feeling that people drawn to the stories will be new to them anyway. At least, that is what I'm hoping for.
To any faithful fan still waiting patiently out there in the fanfiction world, I hope to anchor myself as firmly to this craft as I was back when I was 15. I am now nearing 20...and my maturity begs for alterations to a style that is far past its prime. Please, bear with me. I promise that you will not regret it :)
Until later, mon amores,
UPDATE --24th of April, Year 2006
Huzzah, I have almost completed Ch. 30 of DCT! I was particularly bored at work earlier today and started typing away. Before I knew it, I had come up with a lovely, complex and entertaining little addition to my 5-year-old fic! At the moment, however, I'm trying to juggle all of my fanfiction responsibilities, as well as my school-related ones. I've got several projects and a full-length story due next week, so while I plan to have the update ready before then, I'm not sure how much longer it will be before I've the time to sit down and work on it again. Certainly not until after May, as I've got to have my wisdom teeth removed shortly after Finals, and will therefore be out of commission for at least a week. Thanks for the continued patience to anyone reading, and I hope the next chapter does not disappoint.
