I read to escape. I read fanfics to see how often people can improve upon a world. I very rarely write much, even though it's wonderful to create. My ADHD doesn't always let me fixate for long enough stretches to finish much.

I am not the creator, nor do I own the picture I'm using for a profile pic. I just really like it. I am trans, full time for years now. I live in the US, and l'm originally from Tennessee.

Just a quick update blurb, I recently went back to read my previous chapters, and oh boy did I notice a difference in the writing quality. So I've decided to rework the earlier stuff, a few chapters at a time. Mostly I'm just touching it up, but I also wanted to start throwing in some foreshadowing for ideas I've had to make the story bigger, and maybe a little darker. I'll get there, one day. Chapter 21 might be a little delayed, but i think it'll be worth it in the long run.

January '23

My apologies for outright disappearing. Me and my hubby took on our first foster kid, and though she may not have been the foster kid from hell, she was, at the least, the foster kid from purgatory. It's taken a long while to recover. I don't want to discourage potential families from becoming foster parents, but after this experience, I do think that if you travel that path, one parent should either be employed part time, or a stay at home caregiver. Mostly in case you wind up with a more challenging child like we did.

We do have a second kiddo now, and though she is great with my husband, she seems to battle with the idea of liking me. She wants too, but seems afraid that doing so would be disloyal to her mom. Even with that, she is so much easier to deal with than our last one! The biggest struggle for me is probably just how attention needy she is. I've never been a parent before, and oh my crapolla, preteens are constantly asking for things!

Anyway, I'm back and happily resuming my early chapter edits. New content should be out in another month or so. Wish me luck!
