Author has written 102 stories for Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Doctor Who, Bones, CSI: New York, Wicked, Cold Case, Fringe, MI-5/Spooks, Twilight, Robin Hood BBC, Chuck, Silent Witness, Castle, Nashville, and Private Practice.
Formerly greyslostwho. I thought it was about time for a change.
Emily, twenty-two... complete fandom whore, and beyond being ashamed of that in fandom. No one has any idea that I do this in my real life... That real life's gotten a little busy lately (I'm a vet student), so I'm becoming more of a reader than a writer I think, but I'm still hanging in there. I've been here for eight years now, and that's all kinds of crazy.
These days I write for: Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice - all Maddison!, Nashville, Silent Witness, LOST
Leave a review. It doesn't take 30 seconds to leave a little review, and it makes a writer smile.
And reply to that review when you get it. Because someone made the effort to tell you they liked what you've written/what worked/how you can improve it, and thank you never hurt anyone.
These days I read: Bones, Castle, Leverage, Death in Paradise, Ripper Street
There have been a few (mainly terrible) fics that I wrote in my early days, that didn't make it in a fic cull. But here's my work now, and I can safely say it's sticking around:
Grey's Anatomy: They are all Maddison, and they're a wide range of fluffy, tragic and angsty (my favourite genre, Maddison angst). They're mostly oneshots, and quite a few AUs have crept in there!
Early work: Her Heart, Punishment, Why She Loves Him and companion piece Why He Loves Her, Carys, Right in Front of You
Picking up the Pieces - the first epic I ever started. Before Private Practice was an invention, before we even knew Lexie Grey existed. And I had a whale of a time.
Those AUs: Against All Odds - a really early AU I first hand-wrote in a notepad each night before going to sleep, Broken Strings of Four Seasons - four parts, throughout Mark's life. Where Addison fits in. Written in the greys_exchange challenge on livejournal an awfully long time ago. Theoretically, everything in the first three chapters could be canon. Final chapter's very AU, Spiralling Out in a Different Direction - what if it hadn't been Addison that had had the affair? What if Derek had left her with Mark to put everything back together?, If Nothing Else - I've sort of reversed Mark and Derek in Addison's story. Somewhat inspired by The Script's 'I'm Yours'
Mark died, and I got all tragic: Afterwise - the funeral we never got to see, and Addison certainly never attended, 'Beloved, not forgotten' - futuristic fic. Addison visits Mark's grave many years later, and contemplates their relationship, and everything it was and wasn't.
Derek died too, and I got even more tragic: What A Difference A Lifetime Makes - crossover with Private Practice. Totally unashamed Maddek.
Christmas pieces: Of Angels and Red Berries - Christmas 2012. When I wrote this, that was way in the future, New York Moment, One in every five stars - I had a little tweak with what Shonda once said she wished she could have done with Mark and Addison.
Work still in progress:
Too Much To Say - a collection of Maddison oneshots I started a very long time ago, but will always be open, to hold anything that doesn't have a home elsewhere and isn't enough to live by itself. Open to prompts. Mostly drabbles., If - collection of oneshots, all based on the concept of 'if's, if things had gone another way, in the Maddison story. Each chapter is standalone, based on the concept of 'if something had gone differently...'
Silent Witness: Seems I like making series' out of my Silent Witness work! And I'm never going to stop orchestrating various ways Harry and Nikki can find each other again. All very shippy, all very H/N!
Birthdays series: 1) In Perfect Silence, On Your Birthday, 2) That Espresso Soaked Morning, 3) Just Hold On, Maybe Forever, 4) At Least You Know You've Lived, 5) Even If I Hit The Ground
Dances series: 1) She's Dancing With Another Man (inspired by Bruno Mars' 'When I Was Your Man', 2) Early, 3) The Tango : Another of my looks at Harry's return. I have a whole planned list somewhere of a number of other pieces in this series.
Oneshots in the same canon: 1) Chronology (post-ep to 'Bloodlines'), 2) Realisation, 3) Inevitability (post-ep to 'Change', sort of, or at least something I threw out when I recovered from watching the first Tom Ward-less episode)
The Ghost of a Smile - my first ever Silent Witness piece, Fault Line - post-ep to 'A Guilty Mind'. Which is still one of my favourite episodes, if not my favourite, Something - Harry and Nikki on a conference in Scotland. I wrote this one year in a farm cottage, trying to keep warm and toasty on a lambing placement!!, Bite the Bullet and sequel Ammunition - based on a 'please write more pre-New York fic' prompt, Back Down To Earth - a post-ep to 'Greater Love'. Started in the early hours of the morning that night after watching that episode. Because the only coherent thought I could form was 'I have to write fic where Harry comes back', Drowning, After All This Time - something of another 'Harry and Nikki find each other again' AU. Hint of a songfic to Christina Perri's 'Arms', Serendipity - one of my initial reactions to the news Tom Ward was leaving :(, The Day Before Yesterday - post-ep to 'Body of Work' I should have written years ago, A half of the whole - an AU chapter fic, dealing with Harry's job offer in New York, and then the events of 'Greater Love', if Harry and Nikki had already been in an established relationship. Something of a songfic to 'Already Home' by A Great Big World. Fractions - oneshots in this canon. Still in progress
Smut: Poison - the loosest song inspiration possible from Paloma Faith's 'New York'. Harry returns again, to take the professorship at the Lyell, and Nikki hates him. Sort of. Ruins - another set somewhere between the end of Series 15 and 'Change'
Nashville: Didn't think I was ever going to have enough time in my life to start writing for a new fandom, but then Deyna came into my life, and I had to write something!
The Best It Could Be - quite literally what it says on the tin. My way of wrapping my head round Deyna when Rayna was still going to marry Luke (a low point for all of us). Was inspired by Tom Odell's 'Grow Old With Me', Listen for my sighs - written pre 'The Storm Has Just Begun', something of a worse-case-scenario for the promo. Pretty sure I must have been having a very bad day when I wrote this.
Castle: Not as much of a fan as I used to be, but I'll still write, usually a post-ep if something major happens! All Caskett!
*Next Summer, *Mild Irritation (*both written after 'A Deadly Game' and before the start of season 3) I was overwhelmed by the feedback and took to writing a lot of Castle, certainly for a time, Unbelievable - prompted by a Stardust quote: "So yes, I know that love is unconditional. But I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable and strangely easy to mistake for loathing..." written for a Castleland challenge, Pen & Paper- the inspiration came from Olly Murs' This Song Is About You, Serving Justice, Always Partners - Caskett drabbles - title is self-explanatory. Started for Castleland's 20in20, back when I was involved, and most of the following drabbles are in response to prompts. in progress
Post-eps: Bravery - something of a post-ep to 'Set-Up', written before 'Countdown', Vincit Omnia Veritas - post-ep to 'Always', All of a sudden - post-ep to 'For Better or Worse'
Bones: Was my favourite show for a very long time, and it still holds a very dear place in my heart.
Multi-chaps: Hostage - my very first Bones fic!, The Things That Matter, A Reason To Stay- a long, complete, case-fic with a certain degree of romance. Still kinda proud of it, The Heart Never Lies (unlikely to be completed) - inspired by McFly's 'The Heart Never Lies'
AUs: Somewhere Out There, Little Face
Post-eps: A Long Stretch of the Imagination - 'The Con Man in the Meth Lab', Winning - 'The Verdict in the Story', Standing in the Same Room - 'Mayhem on a Cross', 87600 Hours - 'The Wannabe in the Weeds', twoshot
Fringe: I struggle to explain quite how much I ship
Post-eps: Time - something of a very early post-ep to 'The Same Old Story', A Siren Wails in the Night - 'What Lies Below' A songfic to Edwina Hayes' 'Feels Like Home',Of Freedom - 'Jacksonville',In That Moment, Blindness - 'Over There (1&2)'. Written for the op_ficathon on livejournal, prompted to be based on 'Blindness' by Metric.
Other work: Mistletoe, Scrooge and Galapagos Monkeys - Christmas oneshot, Once - very early AU, doesn't even make a whole lot of sense to me now. Not supposed to make sense, really, however, Footprints in the Sand - before I actually found out what this song was about. But even so, it makes sense in this fic, If Tomorrow Falls Asleep - before we got the final season, my take on what the end might have been like. Inspired by Delta Goodrem's 'If Tomorrow Never Comes', Even The Darkest Night - complete AU, and still open to updates, but probably very unlikely.
Spooks: Still sad it's over. Ros Myers is my main focus in Spooks work, and I'll always hold a soft spot for Ros/Adam.
Post-eps: Revenge - written based solely on the promo for 7x01, 'New Allegiances', Unsaid Things - a post-ep to 'New Allegiances', Lists - a post-ep to 7x08, 'The Mole'
Other work: The Room, Sweet Surrender, Varying Degrees of Clarity - written for Yuletide 2008
Cold Case: I am an avid follower of a number of respected writers' works in this fandom, and though I know my work could never be anything on theirs, I do enjoy writing it!
Post eps: L'interieur de son spirit: Lilly Rush - 'Sabotage', We Sure As Hell Ain't Dancin' - 'Two Weddings', Breathe Me - I guess a multi-chap that starts as something of a post-ep to 'Shattered'
Other: Imploding - AU
CSI:NY/Cold Case crossover: Lost Generations (unlikely to be completed)
CSI:NY: Smokescreen (unlikely to be completed)
LOST: My first fandom, my first love. All about Jate. (though I did write one Suliet piece), and apparently I've dipped back in for my 100th fic!
The End of Forever -my first ever fanfiction!, Pain and companion piece Agony,Different -the Suliet piece, something of a post-ep to 'The Incident', Cormorant Point - complete, massive, early AU, Eight Days - my 100th fic! Written for the same fandom, exactly eight years (to the day) after my first fic. Deals with Kate after the finale. Very very loosely inspired by Lea Michele's 'If You Say So', Straight Aces - AU Jate multi-chap. Sadly unlikely to be completed.
Twilight: I had a twilight phase, OK? I was a fifteen year old girl, who didn't?
The Sound of Four Heartbeats, Up in Smoke - songfic to Kenny Chesney's 'There Goes My Life', Roses Behind Mirrors, and the start of a sequel: Veiled Thorns (won't be completed, I'm afraid, I am out of my twilight phase!)
Doctor Who: This was a long time ago... I was a lot younger when I wrote these, and I'm not particularly proud of them...
Why I Cry, A Moment in Time
Robin Hood (BBC): When The Storm Is Through - something of an AU, but built with the possibility of existing within canon at the time I wrote it. Songfic and inspired by 'At The Beginning', the end credits music to Anastasia.
Chuck: An Almost Miracle - Christmas piece
Wicked (musicalverse): Scars - I had a thousand ideas for this Wickedverse future I created here. I even half-wrote some incredibly bad songs for it.
I've got a ton of things I need to do... there's a load of fandoms I've pretty much left abandoned these days, and I'm ashamed to say there are fics I'm not likely to ever finish. I keep telling myself that one day I'll have time to dip back in a bit more, one of these days I'll get back into the Bones fandom, I'll write a half decent crossover. One day.
Feel free to PM me or add me as a friend on Livejournal (where I'm still greyslostwho) if there's anything you want to ask, or more you want to know.
