In the real world, I'm a twenty five year old student science teacher who isn't called Lily, who has
On here I'm practically a reading, writing and reviewing veteran (I've been here for nearly eleven years now :O) who's stuck in her old ways and tends to stick to old, departed fandoms and particularly ships either sunk, completed or never-even-happened. I am a shameless serial oneshotter, Maddison will always be my OTP, I'm a particular lover of and supporter of as-much-angst-as-possible, and I never should have started writing smut because apparently now I can't stop.
These days I'm writing for Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice, Silent Witness, Jurassic Park and Bones. When it comes to just reading you can add a couple of my long term loves, The X Files and The Mentalist to that. I may well dip into any, or at least most of my previous fandoms at some point in the future - no one can second guess the random nature of my inspiration. And, of course, who knows what might inspire me next.
My previous work:
GREY'S ANATOMY/PRIVATE PRACTICE
I'm all about Maddison, though I do tend to read/write anything Addison in it. I've done a number of AUs, dealt multiple times with tragedy Shonda's thrown at us, and dip every few years or so into writing a little Christmas piece. Watch this space for anything AU, dabbling in all the Maddek history, and of course a touch on the tragic endgame situation we've found ourselves in. Maddison will always be my OTP. If you were going to read one thing, I'd say check out Spiralling Out In A Different Direction.
I'll be Harry Cunningham/Nikki Alexander, until I'm completely dessicated apart from the tiny muscles that operate my fanfic-typing fingers. :')
I watched Jurassic World, and I fell in love with the UST between Claire Dearing and Owen Grady, so much so that I delved straight into a new fandom at a very busy time in my life, and I threw myself in the deep end and started writing smut (Distress Flare), which was incredibly well received, and this fandom very quickly came a close second in the context of characters to write nothing but smut for. I've thrown together a few pieces, including a multi-chapter sequel to my initial smutty foray into Clawen (Rescue Flares), and although most of them are directly-after-the-movie-and-how-they-stick-together-for-survival, I am trying to branch into AUs (Decades was a big anniversary piece - my 10 years on the site!!). I am looking forward to seeing what we have to work with after the sequel next year.
Religiously watched EVERY SINGLE episode, and shipped BB from the word go. Most of my Bones writing was a long time ago, before Christine and Hank and a wedding and all my shipper dreams coming true, but I did dip back in a couple of years ago (We Made These Memories For Ourselves), and my most recent publication is finally my take on that missing scene in 'The Hole in the Heart' that I had planned for absolute ages and finally got around to writing (A Singularity). My past work is hugely overdominated by post-eps (of which if you're going to read one, Standing in the Same Room is my strongest), but I played with a couple of AUs and multi-chapters back in the day.
#WeBroughtBackNashville. But we brought it back without Connie Britton planning on staying, and I swear to God I've never cried that much at a TV show. Not sure if you're likely to see anything else Nashville from me, I was VERY Deyna and I'm trying very hard to cope with the show without the First Lady of Country Music. But I am still a huge Deacon fan. So it's possible.
Loved it and watched it til the end, but it did lose its mojo towards the end and the ending didn't 'sit right' with me (to which my initial response was Extinguished). My Castle work is a mixture of post-eps and general shippy Caskett AUs, drabbles and casefic. Probably unlikely that I'll decide to write for Castle again. But you can never say never.
I was not even remotely expecting to like this show as much as I did, or feel as inspired by a pairing from so early on. I am very proud of a number of my Fringe pieces, particularly the slightly later post-eps (A Siren Wails in the Night and In That Moment, Blindness). I have no initial plans for delving into Fringe again, but there is a framework for a multi-chapter AU drafted on my hard-drive that you never know, might see the light of day one day. I was very Bolivia, and I don't feel any less so after all these years.
I wrote a couple of whole team pieces, but I was mainly about Ros Myers, and Ros/Adam for the short period of time we were given something to work with. A mixture of all short oneshot work for this fandom, including some post-eps, Ros character studies (Varying Degrees of Clarity was written for Yuletide many years ago and incredibly well received) and something a little shippier. Will always be one of my favourite shows, so I suppose it is possible that one day I might write another little piece. But don't hold you breath, if there's anyone out there still reading Spooks.
L/S, Lilly and Scotty, though Lilly Rush as a character in herself also fascinates me. I wrote two post eps, a Scotty/Lil future piece oneshot, and a multi-chapter set directly after the finale (Breathe Me). I've always told myself one day I'd set my mind to write a case fic for Cold Case, which are done so well by a few established authors on the page, and enjoyed very much. You never know. One day. I started a CSI:NY/Cold Case crossover as well, many eons ago, but the likelihood of me ever dragging that out and completing it is second to none. Sadly, CSI:NY seemed to fall by the wayside. Which is a shame, because I have a half-finished SMacked multi-chap floating in mid air here, too.
Jate was my first pairing, LOST was my first fanfic fandom, and my first foray into fanfiction. Mostly Jate, but I did take a brief moment in Suliet after The Incident, all those years ago. I dived back into LOST a couple of years ago now (Eight Days), and the response was so good and the fans so attentive that it will always be a consideration, maybe, of something I might revist. Who knows?
Like most teenage girls of that era, I had a Twilight phase. I was into Rosalie and Emmett, and my four pieces, including a long but well-constructed multi-chapter and the forever-unfinished sequel, weren't bad pieces of work. But, also like most teenage girls of that era, I am long out of my Twilight phase.
I have also written individual pieces in the past for Doctor Who (TenxRose, sort of), Robin Hood BBC, Chuck (Charah) and Wicked [musicalverse] (Fiyeraba). These fandoms are all unlikely to see any more work from me.
