I have removed all my stories from this site and am posting them to Ao3, hpfandom, and adultfanfiction within the next week, under the same penname. I do so with a heavy heart, as fanfiction net was my first home, the place where I learned to really tell a story, and a place where I have gained many friends and readers. As this site has deemed fit to purge stories without notice and to support groups such as Critics United and others, I no longer feel that my stories are products that are welcome. Many of the authors on this site write intelligently about subjects that are, according to the site rules, MA rated, and do so to the best of their ability and with great sensitivity. As many of my stories deal with war crimes and the consequences of those crimes, and since this site has made it abundantly clear through their actions and support of bullying groups such as Lawlclan, CU, and Literate Union, that stories which deal intelligently with this topic fall outside their ratings scale, I have no choice but to remove my account and move on.
I find it interesting that one of the bullying groups that seek to enforce their primacy over other authors, has seen fit to ban almost everyone who posts a dissenting voice in the portion of their forum set aside for complaints. My voice was stifled from the debate early on as were others. They have claimed that authors who contacted them became rude off-forum in site to site PM's, but serious doubt to the veracity of these claims have arisen. Imablack was banned from their forum, I was, and several others who made no-such threatening/verbally abusive comments on or off the forum. This site, to be fair, did warn the self-appointed critics groups to refrain from using profanity in their reviews, but on the whole, CU and others continue to spam-report stories. This website seems to support their actions by deleting stories reported thusly, as I have seen at least one story deleted within four hours of posting, even though the story was not in violation of this site's ToS, as that group claimed. Furthermore, the groups have also deleted responses because the poster didn't agree with their actions. Feel free to contact me for the proof of these claims. I have saved the evidence in my email account.
I would like to say thank you to the admins of this site for the many years I have been able to post here, and for the forum on which I've learned. I wish that the situation was different, that fanfiction dot net would live up to their motto the one that states one should 'unleash your imagination.'
And a special thank you to all my readers. I will miss your comments and wisdom.
Here is an example of how mature these CU types are:
Well, your name is certainly accurate, tambrathegreat.
imblack was being an idiot and wasn't legitimately levying any complaints against CU. They were only whining on behalf of their "friend" wynx, who was banned for her bad behavior. She couldn't remain civil and took everything as an offense. If someone is being combative, there is no reason to allow them to continue posting and I'd be remiss in my duty as mod to make sure things are posted where they're supposed to be and applicable to the appropriate thread.
Imablack was banned from posting for asking for an apology from CU for SyberiaWynx, for saying that the group needed to help her get her story back because they had reported it. Cha Aegis did this, not other members of the group.
Yes I did. And I'd do it again. Wynx was already in contact with all the other mods and Jewel over the situation. Imablack was being Imaidiot by getting involved in something they had no business in and was already being addressed by wynx herself. The only reason wynx is still banned is because she was being an ass.
Actually, I didn't delete the posts another mod did. I don't delete posts unless it's spam or advertising another forum. I'll combine if someone is double posting. I'd admit to deleting Imablack's posts if I had, just like I admit to banning them.
I KNOW imablack, I haven't just encountered her. I know that she is polite and doesn't curse in her correspondance. She's the epitome of a Southern Lady. Imablack was banned and so she couldn't refute these claims that she was abusive/cursing in any PM's to the group. She was BANNED because she had the temerity to ask for these people to make their so-called mistake right.
Is that in the biblical sense? If so, no one really wants to know your personal business. ;P
You weren't present during the incident and even if you were, I'm sure you would've interpreted any way your mind would've wanted it to. I stand by my decision to ban Imablack. And if I had my druthers, I'd delete the entire Complain thread as we don't have to listen to what you or anyone else has to say. It's people like wynx and Imablack who abused and twisted the purpose of that thread and now I see no real purpose for it. However, I don't own the forum and I respect Jewel's wishes for it to stay.
Is it that you're buttchapped over your little friends being banned or is it that you're still buttchapped over your own ban? ;P
Not only do they stalk people to different forums, but the think they must make digs at someone's supposed sexuality. This type of behavior is exactly why I will no longer post here.

Now let's discuss flaming and cyber bullying:
the Urban Dictionary gives this definition and example:
To insult someone electronically, or otherwise. Sometimes to be a group insult.
The l4m3 k1dd13 finds himself flamed.
UserA:hay ne1 gots sum wareZ ?!@#!@# I wanna h4x0r my momz yahoo account!!
UserB: You're a tard... seriously. Do yourself a favour and get out of the gene pool.
Note that the flamer has made no use of curse words, he/she merely insults the original poster.
Here is an example of a 'review' left by Rome Beauty on a story:
"'Your lack of talent clearly shows. Each 'story' you've written is horrendous and a thorough waste of time. I can tell you are unable to write a proper story, even a tiny oneshot. I guess this is what happens when there's a lousy education system in place.' "
Clearly a flaming review according to the definition above, although all the members of CU that weighed in say that it's not. \
Cyberbullying on Wikipedia
The legal definition is:
Cyberbullying is defined in legal glossaries as actions that use information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, that is intended to harm another or others.
-Use of communication technologies for the intention of harming another person
Use of internet service and mobile technologies such as web pages and discussion groups as well as instant messaging or SMS text messaging with the intention of harming another person.
Examples of what constitutes cyberbullying include communications that seek to intimidate, control, manipulate, put down, falsely discredit, or humiliate the recipient. The actions are deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior intended to harm another. Cyberbullying has been defined by The National Crime Prevention Council: “when the Internet, cell phones or other devices are used to send or post text or images intended to hurt or embarrass another person.[2
A cyberbully may be a person whom the target knows or an online stranger. A cyberbully may be anonymous and may solicit involvement of other people online who do not even know the target.
Hmm... sounds like the actions of certain forums on this site, even if they deny it.
