I have so far written very, very little. It is supposed to change, but till then, why don't you also check out my AMVs on youtube:

Bad Meets Evil - Teen Titans AMV is my first real AMV. Made in Windows Movie Maker and considerable pain. Eminem and Royce Da Five-Nine.

Final Black Fiction: Trailer for the terrific anime Black Lagoon done like the trailer for Pulp Fiction, but composed with the dub of the anime and only the music from Pulp Fiction. The opening scene however is more like the first scene of the movie, with Rock and Revy playing the slightly modified roles of Pumpkin and Hunny Bunny.

He clutched at the wall, coughing, gasping for air; his fingers (bandaged, stinging to high hell) clawed and scrabbled at his tie, tearing it loose and throwing it aside, even though the freedom from it did nothing to help him.

He was not being strangled. What was happening came from inside.

His lungs caught, he couldn’t get any air in, couldn’t breathe; black patches began to cloud his vision, agony screamed in his skull and somewhere within him a real scream built up but couldn’t force its way out of him—

And then something pushed, unloaded; he coughed and retched and black poured out of his mouth, dribbling down his chin in a single thick black stream.

Most of it went on her carpet.

It didn’t clear – he started coughing again, unable to halt it. It was compulsive, controlling, and he couldn’t breathe. He brought his hand to his belt, searching in his blindness for a handkerchief—

And came away with a single red rose.

Rants on Teen Titans Fanfiction (the Get-A-Life chronicles) #-#-#
-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#

(below is my review on Chains of Diamond, in which I vented, to say it as it is. Note that certain 'words' have been edited out by ff.net)

Ok, this isn't the worst I read, I'll just let you know. The writing flowed fine and all. It's a pretty short chapter, there's not much to comment on.
Still, it managed to tick me off. Why? Well, there's this little problem, and the reason I have such a big problem with this little problem is that this is the hundredth goddamn time I see it. It can be summarised thus: Why didn't Raven just vanish in a cloud of smoke earlier?

-
-WARNING: RANT AHEAD- I think it more a question like this: Why the hell is the antichrist running from the Batman and the Boy Wonder?
Oh I know those two are supposed to be leet. I think Batman's pretty cool too. But you know what's even cooler, after two and a half years of TT-fanfiction? Realism... It's what gives Batman the potential to be so much more interesting than Superman.
I'm am so sick of some Gary or Mary or some like that, coming out of nowhere and kicking the Titans' collective asses without dropping a sweat. Despite the Titans' numerical advantage. I'm so tired of people dodging Cyborg's sonic cannon - you know how fast sound travels? 344 meters per second- that's faster than 9mm's from an MP5, and villains fly loops around this sonic beam! Well, when they're not busy punching through his armour like it was made of butter!
I hate, abhor and abominate the know-it-alls lackadaisically revealing that they know everything about some Titan's - mostly Raven's - past, heritage and favourite tea-brand!
But returning to the subject of Raven vs. Batman & Robin: I acknowledge that Raven is more than hesitant to submit to her demonic bloodlust and go demo-homicidal on the dynamic duo thanks to Azar's pacifist indoctrinations, but she could have still escaped Batman and Robin in so many ways that it's ridiculous... Flight, teleportation, inter-dimensional portals (her speciality), phasing through solid materials (like streets, wall and fists), transforming into a obsidian-raven that can turn immaterial and material at will... Why the damn was she running through the streets in the first place?
And don't mind her empathy, because she just about never uses that in the show anyway: Not to make villains surrender in a depression before they get somebody killed, or to simply suppress her own emotions directly instead of wasting hours every day meditating. And don't mind that she cuts tanks into ribbons with a damn wave of her hands in "Revolution", because she can't do that to a robot-worm in "Titan Rising". Don't mind she can detect people with her empathy, or that she can cast spells, or that she's smart enough to speak and write seven different languages, and don't mind that she is is Raven for that matter!
Sigh... I don't know. Maybe Raven would just be overpowered if authors didn't make her completely oblivious to the concept of strategy in battle. Being overpowered doesn't stop Superman from interacting with Batman, of course.
And overpowered characters aren't very funny, whoever they be. I actually don't have so much against Raven having a hard time against some opponent if it's just mostly realistic, but these completely and unrealistically one-sided battles are something I've lately seen again, and again, and again. Like the TT weren't really able to take care of themselves. And I don't think Raven's that overpowered, because she is probably the frailest of the Titans, so it shouldn't have been that hard to make a realistic battle in which Raven is on the receiving end. But when she knows someone's after her, and she decides to run on her well-muscled but still rather short legs, I get... like this.
I suppose it's something from the show that naturally follows into the fanfictions, the way sometimes this one or the other character is suddenly powerful enough to drop all the others, only to have the tables reversed in the next episode. Or to ignore some strategic advantage that could decimate their opponents.
I hope you will excuse my little tantrum, and normally, I would have just deleted it, perhaps boiled it down to: "Why didn't Raven disappear before?"

(End quote)

For that matter, I'm getting a little tired of clicking in on the Teen Titans section of this site and then getting to read about how fragging hardcore Batman is.

(Re: That Special Anime You Grew Up With, on HSBsitez message board)

I didn't grow up with any anime or cartoon; I never got to really follow any series during the first 16 years of my life. I found it a little annoying once in a while when I really wanted to see that cartoon or something but always missed a number of episodes and just gave up on it eventually... Then I got a laptop. And then I found youtube. And then I downloaded every 65 episodes of Teen Titans in fragging 425x344 pixel flash quality, watched the whole thing back to back three times in a row in the midnight darkness of my room, shooting red lines across my strained eyes and depriving myself of the sleep I needed. And I consider this one of my happy memories (yeah, I'm not too social). I can still remember the first episode I found, seeing Terra's sticks for legs running along the dusty bottom of a desert ravine with a giant scorpion on her six and throwing my hands in the air shouting some nonsense or other about success and the god I don't believe in. I consider that semi-anime series the closest to "that Special Anime I Grew Up With."

Teen Titans Superpowers #-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#
-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#

"Wouldn't it be cool if..."

- Glen Murakami

I have spent a considerable amount of time pondering my favourite superheroes abilities and have compiled the following list that I felt like sharing with anyone who might be interested. I might also have been sick of superpower summaries that went like this: "Raven; Levitation and telekinesis." If you don't understand why, see her list below.

Cyborg (Tank/Heavy-duty/sniper) Arch-Tech-Wizard -
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

-Extreme strength (has uprooted buildings to slam them into bad-guy's faces)
-Sonic cannons in both arms and his right foot. They should actually be completely silent if the sound doesn't hit your ear, in which case you'll probably be deaf anyway. The "ricochet" should be absolutely horribly though. Brother blood mentioned that the Hive School Project was a electron amplifier, and because it works on Cyborg's cannon, it seems logical to conclude the Sonic cannon incorporates some form of electron projector.
-Extreme resilience. Titanium does not take that sort of beating, so perhaps he is made of some form of neotitanium?
-Cyborg displays enough agility to wall-sprint, matrix style. (Divide and Conquer)
-Missiles in his Shoulders (though his version of the theme song states he should have one in one of his shoes too)
-Multitude of scanners that can analyse pretty much anything (substances, persons) by being in the near vicinity.
-Extreme super-hearing (sonic analyser allows him to find Starfire from blocks away in the episode Go).
-Sight in more visual spectrums (can see invisible stuff, like Red X). Might be able to see in more frames per second, like Sasuke.
-Can disconnect and shoot his lower arms and his hand with a cable connected to the upper arms / lower arms. So there's two joints that can detach in his arms.
-Half digital brain makes him resistant to mind control.
-Should be able to record/log input, output, internal processes and thoughts.
-Can repair and reconfigure parts of self into new stuff, that's how he got the sonic cannon, plus make new stuff out of his circuits.
-Should be able to reconfigure to give some electric shock to enemies.
-Holographic generator (disguise ("Deception") and multiple Titans ("Overdrive"))
-Little need for sustenance or sleep.
-Various gadgets and tools (tracers, welder in right index finger (powerful), screw-driver, drill, fan, etc).
-Grabblings in lower arms, as if the above wasn't enough
-Can control body-parts remotely.
-Lower arms are equipped with thrusters and can fly (Divide and Conquer, Dark Cyborg, "The End 2,3").
-Can link with external power-supplies and produce twin über-cannons ("The End 1").
-Can construct a inferior but still powerful mimic of self (Deception).
-Has learned Hive combat-techniques. Whatever that means. Probably that infamous Attack Pattern Alpha.
-Various upgrades; Max-7, electron-amplifier (Hive Project), battery-backpack (Sum of His Parts)
-He has taken classes in skydiving.
-Mechanic, hacker, engineering skills, all-round technician.

What distinguishes him from the normal robotic soldier is his human brain. What distinguishes him from the "normal" cyborg is his human brain being integrated with an electronic brain, allowing for better movement and thought process. But what makes Victor Stone truly unique is his ability to exceed his physical limitations, to go beyond the 100 that his body should only be capable of. There is definitely some element of psi, or perhaps even magic. Maybe an extremely latent metahuman power only exhibited in a bionic body.

Starfire (cavalry/air support/heavy duty) Alien Organism-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

-Starbolts of various forms and sizes. Other than the standard starbolt, she has displayed the ability to have the green "solar energy" explode from her body (Betrayal, Betrothed), project a single continuous stream of fire. It can can melt steel in moments.
-Eye-laser (with or without immediate or delayed explosion, see "Betrayal")
-Greater super strength (Even stronger than Cyborg).
-"Starshield"; like a sphere of protective starfire around Starfire. (Blackfire in "Betrothal", something similar in "Deception" and "Can I Keep Him?")
-Resilient enough to put all that strength to use (if you're going to lift something heavy, besides the strength, you need a body that can withstand the strain), and enter and exit atmospheres in seconds. Not to mention heat-resistant enough to actually hold those starbolts.
-High-speed flight (can cross several light years in a single episode, may have in-built hyperdrive). She must use it to put more force behind her punches, as she would otherwise push herself back whenever she punched anything - she doesn't weigh that much. People tend to forget that When you can fly, broken or injured limps aren't such big problems; you can fly with broken legs, and you can probably "fly" the fingers at the end of your broken arm too, especially with anaesthetics.
-Doesn't need air, can withstand radiation and extremely low temperatures. Can't be too affected by high temperatures either, considering her steel-melting starbolts. Should be able to simply burn toxins up in her body.
-Metal bracers on lower arms, and the rest of her outfit is probably of the same protective quality as that of Robin's, if only to protect the clothing itself.
-Nuclear power fuelled (radioactive Zorka-berries) = extreme power supply = cannot get tired out in a fight. Sunlight cannot possibly power her to such level of energy as that contained in her starbolts.
-Have some skills with bow and arrow, for some reason.
-Can absorb languages through "lip contact".
-Must be able to control her own feelings to a degree to be able to feel "righteous fury" on command.

It is quite possible that she and Blackfire are the only Tamaranians of their powers. It seems logical in a warrior-race for the strongest to rule, whereby a bloodline of considerable strength emerges. On top of that, Starfire and Blackfire were granted further powers through Gordanian experimentation (or Psions - I never read the comics). The standard tamaranian was not able to fly or hurl starbolts in "Betrothed", but they all exhibited extreme strength. Well, at least those gathered at the royal dinnertable. The guards everyone but Starfire fought weren't much tougher than your standard mook.

Robin (Ninja/Close-combat) Elite Prodigy-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

-Slight metahuman strength (He lifted and threw a antropomorhic bear in a river in "The Quest" for christ's sake!).
-Extreme motor motor coordination, agility, balance, speed, fitness (definitely superhuman; what human can jump from one falling rock and up to another falling rock?)
-Slightly metahuman resilience, enough to survive otherwise deadly falls.
-Extreme acrobatics - It's said that Richard Grayson is the only person on Earth who can do the quadruple somersault, but that's hardly a feat when one can jump 8 meters straight into the air.
-Probably is well-versed in all of the following martial arts styles: Aikido, judo, jujitsu, karate, Kendo, kick boxing, kung fu, muay thai, tae kwon do, wrestling, jeet kune do, wing chun, escrima, hapkido, savatem, ninjutsu, tai chi, probably streetfighting too, if that is even a 'martial art' in any way.
-Equipment: Bo-staf (0,2 to 12 meters long (well over 100 in "Overdrive")), birdarangs, explosive/freezing/electric discs, gas/smoke/flash-bombs, escrima batons, bird-sword, grapling hook, gas canisters, caltrops, cuffs, lockpicks, compact nightvision, underwater rebreather).
-High-density titantium polymer clothing (fire, bullet, blast and stab-proof)
-Acomplished detective and hacker
-"Thief" skills aquired in the service of Batman: Stealth, lock-picking, detect and disarm traps
-Can fight without relying on sight or hearing (The Quest)
-Heroic willpower

Raven (Glass cannon) Antichrist-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

-Telekinesis (it's how you use it, not the raw power you have at your disposal, though she can move large buildings)
-Umbrakinesis (stronger version of telekinesis, shown with objects enveloped by black) (shields, orbs, cutting, blasts, ribbons, melee applications, dark lightning bolts and flames, etc.)
-Empathy (Fear, Courage, Pain, Pleasure, Hate, Love, Grief, Happiness, Rage, Tranquility, Pain, Pleasure, Lust, etc.) Only really shown in the comics, but the dragon-head-and-tentacles from "Crash" might have been a hint of applied Fear. Can use it to pump Starfire's emotionally powered powers, or her own.
-Flying (telekinesis on self)
-Laserproof leotard and cloak (shot in the back with a blaster in "Revolution" and got back up, seemingly none worse for the wear)
-Raven-form (can both project and transform into this giant, black, magic-bird that goes immaterial and material at will, size varies). Basically made of umbra-kinesis.
-Various magic spells and demonic powers. Pretty much anything from lighting candles without even a gesture to creating rifts in space-time.
-Can detect mindcontrol (according to herself)
-Portals (local and interdimensional. It's how you use them that can make you a truly formidable superhero).
-Limited phasing (has so far only phased herself through fixed objects, like walls. Again, it's how you use this power...)
-Limited teleportation (local)
-Limited demonic possesion (Plasmus in The End I and Titans Together), can use to relocate her mind to another body, as seen in Haunted.
-Limited healing.
-Has demonstrated ability to age herself (The End 3).
-Limited time manipulation and travel, semi-controlled (Cyborg the Barbarian, Birthmark).
-Tentacles, semi-controlled (Nevermore)
-Summoning: Nightmares, uncontrollled (Fear Itself)
-Spawn-cloak, uncontrolled (Nevermore)
-Power-transfer (The End part 1)

Her umbra-kinesis activates chaotically when Raven feels any emotions ("Switched"). It would seem obvious that emotions interfere with her concentration (as emotions do to everybody). Her powers react very easily; they are more sensitive to emotions than Starfire's, and Raven has fever ways of directing these. Starfire can just not hit anything when she feels too much "boundless confidence", float near the ground when she feels the "joy of flight", and keep the starfire in her hands when she feels too much "righteous fury". Raven depends on her concentration. It is possible that it is easier for her to feel and coordinate her powers at the same time when she doesn't repress her demonic taint, or her control might simply increase when she lets her demonic side out, period.
When her leotard and cloak turns white, Raven's powers increase. But why she turns white is a little hard to say, if it is one thing, and it couldn't happen for several reasons.
A major hint is "Nevermore", where she becomes one with the other Ravens (except Rage): It suggests a mix of emotions (if brave is an emotion) or perhaps balance of mind. This makes no sense however, if she feels many emotions all at once. Perhaps one emotion "balances" out another, ie, Brave and Timid neutralises each other inside Raven. She still is missing Rage however, and it is not inside her to balance out it's own counter-Raven (assuming there is a reverse of Rage).
Her cloak had also turned white when she had gone into isolation in the future and believed Starfire to be something her mind had made up. She seemed most fractured of mind at this point, which suggests the whiteness does not stem from sanity at least. She was also rather happy in "Spellbound".
Why don't she just use her empathy to control her emotions? Would be easier and such much less time consuming than meditating every single day.
And why she wouldn't just stay in the immortal form of a giant raven during battles might have some reason, but probably there is only one explanations to all these questions: Raven is overpowered. Or maybe it's just writers who are no good at implementing her powers in their plots. If this was done, she would be to the Titans what Superman is the the Justice Leagues IMO.

Beast Boy (Wildcard/Close-combat/Utility)-
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Anamorph:
-Can have Animal Senses
-Can fly - pteradtyl/sparrow/dragonfly/etc
-One of the only Titans any good underwater
-Can dig faster through earth in moleform than should be possible.
-Can camuflage himself as a gecko or any other animal that utilises this survival strategy. Or he can just turn into something really small to hide. Basically, if BB wants to hide, then there really is very little stopping him, and very little you can do to find him, as he can hide anywhere.
-Animal weapons: Fang and claw, and horns, and tail, and his thick skull...
-Can use toxins and poisons (nerve, acidic, etc)
-Elektric eel - can channel the electricity through water of course
-Snake-strangulation
-Wip strong winds at enemies with big wings - pteradtyl seems to be popular
-Virus - Ebola, plague, cholera, etc (his little trick at then end of "Crash" would indicate he can do this)
-Wet blue-whale Willie (The End 2)
-Many animals have some form of armour. There's the turtles, the armadillo, and all those neat dinosaurs.
-Can survive in most any invironments, because animals tend to live in most any environments. He is probably the best survivor of the Titans.
-Can survive getting frozen down by transforming into a wood frog (kudos to "In Purgatory's Shadow" by Didjargo)
-Can regrow lost limbs as fish or certain reptiles. (Starfishes, newts, salamanders)
-Can "talk" to other animals by morphing into the same species. (Kole)
-Oysters can change gender back and forth. Thus, BB can too.
-The honey badger can eat dangerous venomous snakes, most often the puff adder. If bitten the honey badger will become severely swollen and paralysed, unable to move for two to three hours. After this period of time the honey badger will re-awaken and continue with its meal or continue its journey.
-Can even transform into Yetis and observed alien creatures (Tamaranian watchdog). Makes one wonder if he ever saw Bigfoot.
-Morphing into the "Beast Within": wastly enhanced strenght, agility, reactions, speed, senses, resilience. Loss of mental capacities.
