According to my "User Stats" counter, well over a thousand people have visited my profile since... well, I don't know when, but it's still going up. A lot of these readers ended up wasting a click coming to view my profile, and I know how a wasted click might only add up to a couple seconds or so, but consider how many wasted clicks you've made since signing-on to the Internet for the first time. Upon adding all those seconds up, I bet you'd be surprised to see how many days you've wasted over the years following dead-ends. You might still consider this a wasted click (especially after reading this) even with me writing something here - but what can I say. If you want, go ahead and e-sue. :p
A couple of quick details about me... well, I'm 21, I attend college, and I'm a guy. I'd really like to write poetry for a living, but poetry doesn't exactly equal money, unfortunately. At least, not enough money for one to live comfortably on. Ah well... that's what college is for!
On fanfiction.net (and in other places, too, for the most part), I generally only read stories that fall under the drama, angst, and tragedy categories. Even with all the misery and suffering flooding the streets of the world, I find emotionally trying and heartbreaking stories to be the most appealing of all. Some writers here on fanfiction.net are so incredibly talented that I've been brought to tears while reading their masterpieces. No, I'm not ashamed to admit that and yes, that is just my opinion about their works. What appeals to me might not appeal to others, but I personally feel that Twists of Fate by BE-A-TLE, Aftershocked by Filter1970, & Don't Cry by Spanish Ninja Sneasel, are some of the absolute best pieces of writing I've ever had the pleasure of reading. If you want to check those stories out, they are listed under my "Favorite Stories" list.
I really have nothing against happy endings, and I will read stories that aren't drowning in drama, but they just don't impact me in the same way.
I'm also the proud founder and manager of the Palletshipper Paradise, a C2 community that quite possibly holds the largest collection of Palletshipping stories on the Internet. There are a lot of talented authors to be found within this C2, and if you have a Palletshipping (Ash/Gary, Satoshi/Shigeru) story that isn't already a part of my C2, then please let me know and I'll promptly add it!
To everyone that has followed or is considering following my stories: I sincerely apologize (not that that will be sufficient), but I have no plans and never will complete The Journey or Roses of Ruin & Restoration. It's not because I have no idea of how to wrap up either story (The Journey, in particular, is a story that I know precisely how to end), but because I cannot bring myself to continue to work on stories that are abysmally bad in my eyes. There are many parts of The Journey that cause me to cringe and I can't finish reading because the writing is so poor. There are some reviewers that pointed this out to me and what basically hurts / ruins for the story for them is the awful characterization. I agree entirely. Now I don't want anyone out there that was honest and upfront with me to feel bad or feel that the constructive criticism killed the story. I was the one that killed it when I became more concerned with flowery descriptions and dialogue. The fault is mine and mine alone.
If anyone out there wants to continue either story, send me a PM (a private message, not e-mail) and there's a good chance I'll be okay with it. Of course, every new chapter that is submitted would have the name of the person that was responsible for writing it and I would upload the chapters without changing a single thing.
Sorry again to all those that added the two stories to their favorites/alert lists.
I'll continue to add to and maintain the C2 community for as long as FF.net is around. If anyone wants to serve as staff, let me know.
