When Will I Be Posting Again?
I honestly do not know. It's been over two years since I have worked on anything here, and college and work have kept me completely busy. I have mostly been working on originals, and just recently won my school's creative writing contest. Yay! But I do have another POTO story rattling around in my head that I want to try and write this summer. Perhaps in the fall I will have something worthwhile to post because, frankly, my old stories on here somewhat embarrass me. But I like going back and seeing where I have come from.
The Only 12 1/2 Writing Rules You'll Ever Need:
1. If you write every day, you will get better at writing every day.
"I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear." -Joan Didion
"You see, in my view a writer is a writer not because she writes well and easily, because she has amazing talent, because everything she does is golden. In my view a writer is a writer because even when there is no hope, even when nothing you do shows any sign of promise, you keep writing anyway." -Junot Diaz
"Words, such an innocent thing when sitting dormant in a dictionary, only become a powerful when someone who knows how to combine them comes along."
"If you're an aspiring writer, read everything. Write even if you don't feel like it -- especially if you don't feel like it. Write what interests and moves you without regard to how it will be received. Don't be afraid to go to the dark places or toward what scares you as a writer. Put a little blood on the page -- a book should cost you something to write."
Within Temptation (Complete)
Audrey Jane Cross has always had exactly what she wanted: an education at the best finishing school, rich parents, the most fashionable clothes and accessories, jealous friends, beautiful looks, and much, much more. Her parents tell her she must marry a very rich man to keep her family afloat. She keeps up her rich façade around her friends and society, while plotting to find a way out. She finds it in a man named Erik who is willing to pay 100,000 pounds for her hand in marriage. She quickly accepts it, but she gets more than she bargained for when she meets her new husband. Their fiery personalities clash and they cannot seem to get along or agree on any point. Erik has always believed fear can turn into love, but there is one thing wrong: Audrey does not fear him. But will love come out of everything anyway?
Bella stays home sick with the flu, but does not tell Edward. When he finds her missing from school, he worries and goes to see her. Just a fluffy one shot. EB of course and it does not take place in any specific time frame of the three books. Written for a friend.
Author's Note on Promises: Please do not PM me asking if I am going to update. I am not. It was merely a one-shot written for a friend and that is all. I do not like Twilight, and so I will not continue writing for it. Thank you(:
