![]() Author has written 3 stories for Inuyasha, Golden Sun, and Harry Potter. I have updated and everything on this page is current as far as (07 April 2020). Greetings everyone! I like reading many different fanfics from quite a few series, and if your story has made it on my favorites, you have made a laudable one. I also like to try writing stories, although I tend to get distracted easily and jump between stories and series quite often (usually losing interest in the partially completed story in the process). As far as my stories are concerned: I am currently working full time or more (usually around 50 hours a week, give or take). Most of my spare time is focused on more mindless stress-relieving activities, such as friends, gaming, reading fanfic, or just watching something on the net. I have not had enough spare time to even consider writing in a long time. That being said, all of my stories are currently closed, and left there as a reminder of my very early work. I like various series, ranging from Rising of a Shield Hero and SAO, to The Elder Scrolls and Mass Effect, to Harry Potter. A lot of these series have very open worlds where the mechanics and new areas can easily be added for almost limitless verity and potential, while still being "in universe". Even so, I've been known to pop open an AU every once in a while. In stories, I prefer the following: -Anything with a plot, first and foremost. Better if some unexpected twists happen, but given fanfiction being what it is, that usually gets accomplished easily. -Non-perfect characters. Kinda obvious, but even non-canonical flaws help the experience. One of my more favored series that shows this is The Elder Scrolls just because of how varied it can be. Evil characters who have seen it all? Check. Good characters that are scared of their own shadow? Check. Everything in between? Check. That's just base-level, without breaking from cannon: a writer's sandbox, where the writing can be as open and free as the gaming. A perfect example (at least as perfect as one can get) of my preferences and favorites: A Cadmean Victory by DarknessEnthroned, from this site. Long (500k), realistically written, sometimes dark, but has good times and aspects as well, has times where it feels so... mundane. Even so, there is A LOT of stuff going on. And the ending? Especially after reading the whole thing? Always leaves me feeling like I don't know what to do anymore, not sure where to go from there, or what to believe. And I usually need to take some time off from fanfiction after. In short: awesome. As for my stories, as stated above, I have no time. Therefore I am declaring all stories as closed and locked until further notice. I will still be on the site--reading these great stories has always been a favored pastime of mine--but I will not be producing anything in the near future. I am a Beta-Reader, though I much prefer going over google documents with edit mode on, so you can see the changes and action the comments. Don't worry though; while I enjoy sharing and melding ideas with authors, all of my works are my own (and in serious need of an update to my current standards). I have betaed for a good many authors, starting out in the early 2000's, so I have a ton of experience, and I have been told I am most thorough. As a cautionary note, I generally only beta for the series that I have listed above or for story categories in my favorites since I prefer to help with plot holes and OOC-ness while correcting grammar and any other issues. If you think you would like me as a beta, please send me a message and a story summary and if it matches my pairing preferences, we can probably work something out.
