Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter.
Age: twenty seven
Favorite Harry Potter book: Deathly Hallows, although Goblet of Fire and Half-Blood Prince are close seconds
Favorite kinds of fanfics:
- stories that stay true to canon
- well-written OC stories
- stories that focus on minor characters
- stories focused around canon ships
- drabbles and fluff
- pretty much any story pertaining to the Weasley family that falls into the above categories
- all canon ships
- any reasonable non-canon ships that don't contradict canon ones (so I'd read Luna/Dean, but I probably wouldn't read Luna/Harry or something like that)
Disclaimer: JK Rowling owns Harry Potter and all related entities, not me. Obviously.
About The Ember History (REVISED): Now that I’ve gotten in to Pottermore and my HP obsession has been fully rekindled, I couldn’t just leave this story well enough alone. I started writing it way back in 2004 and finished it [or so I thought] in 2007. A lot of it was ridiculous because I began writing it when I was so young, but the revised version aims to eliminate the outlandishness of the earlier version while still keeping the charm of the original story intact.
I know people are often skeptical of OC stories like this one (I know I am!), but the idea for the character stemmed from the idea that the wizarding world is so vast. Even just within Hogwarts, there are so many unmentioned characters and untold stories that can easily be slipped into the cracks of the canon plot. And that’s exactly what I’ve done here. Lily’s story tells my envisioning of the life of a “normal” Hogwarts student from a non-Gryffindor perspective. Of course, the canon characters we all know and love are present here, but I’ve aimed to present them plausibly and for the most part, Lily’s storyline inserts itself into canon without disrupting it, an accomplishment that I am very pleased with.
So, the plan is to revise and update each year of the Ember History as each book is released on Pottermore. That way, I can incorporate new canon details and characters as they come to light.
About Collapse: This was written for the Reviews Lounge Hallowe'en challenge, and it centers around Hannah Abbott after a long Halloween night working at the Leaky Cauldron. It's a Hannah/Neville oneshot, and considering I've never really written either of those characters I like how it turned out.
About Toujours la Petite Soeur: I wanted to try writing a fic in French. The end.
About Vernalia: I only recently acknowledged Morag MacDougal as a real character in my headcanon, and once I did I got really interested in her. Vernalia is what came of it.
And that's my profile. Before I go, I'd like to say that I honestly value every reader and review I get, and I promise to reply to all reviews, positive or negative! I do my best to review every story that I read because I know how it can brighten an author's day to receive feedback of any kind. Review what you read, guys. It only takes a minute to say "good job!" but it will mean a lot to the author.
I, Emily Mae, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else.
I have joined the review revolution.
Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by. :)
