Hey there. So, by visiting my profile, I assume you want to find out more about me than you get from reading my work.
Name: Yeah. Right.
Age: You wish.
Gender: Female. Gasp.
So, now I'll turn the sarcasm down.
I consider myself to be a fun, hyper, somewhat rebellious city girl living in a small town. Classic character, right? Well, kind of. I'm the girl who grew up playing Pokemon and watching Power Rangers as opposed to having tea parties with dolls. Needless to say I've always been the "odd" girl, not exactly an outcast, but someone who stands out from the crowd. I'm the same way today, I don't care what people think of me.
I'm very involved in my church and community, although due to my recent move across the state I've had to start over. My passions include God, musical theatre, music and theatre in general, and obviously writing. Other pastimes of mine include video games, karate and other sports. My dream is to be a stage actor. I don't want to be on TV. I want to be singing in musicals onstage, because that's where I feel truly at home. I also want to be a writer, but sometimes I struggle creating my own material, which is why I turned to fanfiction. Enough of my hopes and dreams, here is the basis of my work as a writer.
I like in writing the same things I like in people, music, and life: something different. Stories that tell another side, stories that give you something unexpected...for instance, the book Wicked, and the musical of the same name. Stuff like that.
The Legend of Zelda: Harp of the Twilight: This was the first thing I uploaded onto FanFiction.net over a year ago. Although there have been some bumps in the road, it's my most successful story. It's a little hypocritical of me to be writing it. I mean, "Midna finds a way to come back to the Light Realm to be with Link. Oh, and there's a new evil dude, too." Sound familiar? Of course it is, there are thousands of stories just like this out there. But, as I was unnerved by the ending of Twilight Princess, this is my outlet, my closure. I'm in the process of finishing it up.
These Things Will Change: This represents more of the types of writing I find best: writing that tells the other side of things. This is a novelization of Twilight Princess from Ilia's point of view. I decided to write it because the game wasn't exactly clear on what really happened with her, how she lost her memory, so I decided to put my own spin on things, for fun. I've tried to inject a little bit of character into her, because her personality in the game was quite dull, quite mary-sue-ish. Kind of my pet peeve. This story is part of my friend Lish's (fishylishy) Project Perspective.
Power: Life and Times of the King of Evil (unreleased): This story, which I hope to release by the end of summer if things go as I planned, is Ganondorf's childhood. How was it, being born the destined King of the Gerudos, a hated tribe of thieves in Hyrule? How was it, growing up not knowing your own father, and your abusive mother trying to mold you into something you're not. How was it, being the first Gerudo male born in one hundred years, and facing discrimination every where you went? These are questions answered in the story. It deals with concepts that some of us deal with everyday, and concepts none of us would fathom even in our worst nightmares. It's going to be dark, deep, and unlike anything I've ever written. The title was derived from Wicked: Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, a great read if you need something to do over the summer.
In the future I also plan to release a mini-series in the Ocarina of Time era, taking place directly after the game, but before Majora's Mask. I also have a couple new oneshots that I hope to add to my ever-growing collection. I've planned on extending the range of my fanfiction to Okami, an absolutely amazing, breathtaking video game that I would recommend to everyone.
So, that's all for now, I guess. Shoot me a PM whenever you like if you have questions, tips, suggestions, or just want to say hi. Thanks for reading.
