Poll: If I started writing Fox's Wings again, would you read it? Keep in mind that I haven't read the manga in ages, and am ignoring most of the post-timeskip stuff even if my original divergence from canon wouldn't have affected it. Vote Now!
Author has written 8 stories for Naruto, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and D.Gray-Man.
My pen-name is Liara-Shadowsong (formerly Kawaii Chibi Shun, but I've finally updated it to match what I go by on the rest of the internet, please feel free to shorten to Liara or Lia). I am a twenty-something female graduate student in the United States midwest. Science-based field, little over halfway through my degree. I both draw and write as hobbies, and also sometimes dabble in crocheting and jewelry-making. And ... that's all the personal information you're getting from my profile, folks, sorry.
I've been reading on this site for quite a few years, but just started writing... wow, about five years ago, apparently. I can't promise you professional-grade writing (I'm a scientist, not a novelist, haha), but I will do my best to make my work enjoyable to read. Your opinions on my writing, especially any constructive criticism, are very much appreciated, though I'd appreciate it if you feel the need to say my fic sucks to tell me why and how to improve, please, not just flame me. Feel free to drop me a PM any time if you'd like, even if it's not strictly about a fanfic, such as if you want to find me on another site I belong to such as LJ or DA or AO3 or Tumblr.
Being a student, my updates on chaptered stories are sporadic at best, so don't be alarmed if something with multiple parts doesn't have an update for months on end. Just story alert it, and feel free to drop me a line by PM or email if you're really curious, okay?
Please note that my two D.Gray-Man stories, "Fourteen" and "Wish", are a two-part series. There likely will not be a third part, but that may change. I strongly suggest reading "Fourteen" first, as it is earlier chronologically, and is also a much better piece of writing in my personal opinion.
My only incomplete story on this site at the moment is "Fox's Wings". It is a Naruto fanfic, and is the multi-chapter sequel to my first posted story, "Fox Angel". Also taking place earlier in the same loosely-defined series (it definitely stands alone and is not a formal prequel) is my finished story "Sea Serpent". Between the length of time since I've written this story and everything that's apparently happened in canon since I stopped following it properly, I honestly don't know if there will ever be more of this one... and if there is, it'd be a few more chapters only with an open-ended finish.
My current icon? Drawn by yours truly. It's an icon I originally created for LiveJournal, and is loosely modeled after my avatar on GaiaOnline (which I'm not really active on anymore, but I have some very good memories of it). I also have more pieces on DeviantArt, although only a handful are uploaded right now since I have few that are both complete *and* actually scanned, but if you check back at in the future, there may eventually be art for the Fox Angel series (assuming I ever continue it), as well as a few other projects I want to someday write (there's this Legend of Zelda plotbunny that's been gnawing viciously on my brain since I played Twilight Princess the first time a few years ago... and I've put up a few pictures related to it). In the meantime, I have created covers for some of my existing stories, and may produce more in the future.
Additionally, my previously mentioned LiveJournal account has a little bit of writing and some plot ideas on it, mostly to do with comics and containing characters from multiple titles by the same publisher (some things, I just wouldn't know how to tag on this site). I have plans in the works for a fairly expansive alternate DC universe, which would be pretty wide in general scope (assuming I ever get this thing off the ground) but made up of smaller stand-alone arcs mostly about specific groups of characters (mostly along the sorts of divisions as an actual comic title). There's a journal entry outlining the premise on LJ, but it basically boils down to swapping the sexes of about a third to a half of the DC characters from the pre-reboot main universe, and seeing what happens from there (I'll be honest: I'm really looking forward to writing Tim Drake as a woman; her name is Thea, short for Timothea, and she is adorably terrifying, like a cross between a Pomeranian and something horribly venomous, or perhaps that rabbit in Monty Python). When this does get in the works properly, I'm not sure whether or not all of it will be cross-posted here; what will probably happen is I will archive everything on both LiveJournal and Archive of Our Own, but only the most stand-alone parts here with links on my profile to the rest of the universe, and all illustrations on DeviantArt. ...I really hope this project doesn't crash and burn. Or keep getting delayed because of my seemingly endless exams and such.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
