![]() Author has written 14 stories for D N Angel, Kingdom Hearts, Ouran High School Host Club, and Hetalia - Axis Powers. Like the name says. Romerica has taken this account over! Not that I particularly mind. Romano and America have such great chemistry together they're almost irresistable to write. Add to that the other nations and you've got a bubbling gumbo of awesome. Omnom. Currently 2 fics in progress: 'Educating America' and 'Misconceptions'. A sequel is planned for 'Educating America'. After I finish 'Misconceptions' I intend to start on an AU period fic set in ancient Rome, featuring our Italy boys, Grandpa Rome, slave!Ludwig and slave!Alfred. I'm still doing the research for that one, and it should run at the same time as the sequel to 'E.A' (tentatively titled 'The Courtship of South Italy'). After which are planned a cooking-teacher!Lovino/student!Alfred AU fic, a cop!AU fic, and businessman!AU fic. I'm flirting with the idea of a post-apocalyptic!nation Romerica. Of course, scattered throughout all of this will probably be several Romerica one-shots, which may turn into stories because it is hard as heck for me to write a one-shot without it turning into a story, dammit. Also in the works (by request) are a Prussia/Austria, and England/Japan. I'd like to do something with Hungary, 'cause let's face it, she's awesome and smokin' (rawr) but I'm not sure what, yet. Maybe a Male!Hungary fic and a Hungary/Someone, we'll see. I was going to say something else, but I don't remember what at the moment, so perhaps another time. Ah- in parting, I should warn you that as I've lived most of my life overseas (I'm American-born, world-raised) I have a tendency to switch back and forth between American English and British Colony English without realizing it. So I apologize for any confusion that may cause (it confuses me, since my brain can't tell the difference). FANART! (it's nicely in-character thus far) Hetalia Official Stuff I check these frequently, both for fun and also for reference. Before I start writing I read all the strips which feature any of the characters I plan on including in the scene or chapter, to help me get a feel for the characterization and motivation of the characters*. Sometimes if I'm stuck or need inspiration or just feel like it, I also check the 'image' archives for all pictures and random art/sketches/pics etc that feature a character, as well. (You may recognise which strips inspired certain scenes). Himaruya's blog (In Japanese, so)http:/// His request fills: http:///himaruya/request.html Himaruya's Basic Color Palate for Characters: Blog http:///blog-entry-105.html (Himaruya basically says that although he changes the colors sometimes slightly from illustration to illustration, this is his 'standard' for their hair/eye/skin color, and hopes it makes sense to people looking at it.) English Version http:///images/plog-content/images/himaruya-art/character-refs/08-06-12-boitano-b.jpg Hetalia File Archive (scanlated and translated. A plethora of goodies, images, art, sound and games and basically anything official/Hetalia-related. Mostly newer strips, though): http:///hetarchive/ Also, check out their livejournal for newest updates (hit the 'Official site' and 'Official scanslation' tags for the good stuff.) Hetalia Scanlations (The older strips! Here's the meat and marrow.) http:///_extra.html 'Thaw, of course, is the exception, since it's free-flow. I use no references for it. Which twits me a bit since I'm a reference/research junkie (naiiilllls on the chalkboard of my psyche), but I want to try and rely on the knowledge I already have for that particular fic, and I kind of don't want to spend too much time on it, since it's experimental/cathartic. |
