They are inspired by such stories as Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera (which if you think about it is just a different version of Beauty and the Beast), Persephone and Hades, The twelve dancing princesses, etc. I try to give them twists and for the most part make them interesting. I always thought that Erik probably didn't tell the whole story of his last meeting with Christine to the daroga. Why should he? I wouldn't have. Based on Leroux with perhaps a few very minor artistic liberties taken. Sweet,but hopefully never just fluff.
