Author has written 8 stories for Naruto, Teen Titans, Digimon, and Samurai Jack.
Though a Digimon fan however, I always hated how Digimon 02 was done in both the short manga and anime. It was truly an example of poor writing with poor character and plot development and the way Davis was depicted and treated was awful and unrealistic. Shoot, I've read Digimon fanfictions with better plot and character development. But I found something far worse than Digimon 02's ending:
Samurai Jack ended with Season 5, Episode 10 on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:30 pm and...There are no words to truly describe my disgust and hatred for its abominable ending that was nothing more than a cesspool of contradictions, inconsistencies, plot holes and time paradoxes that contradicted themselves and each other and made everything that happened in all 5 seasons meaningless!
There are no morals to make out of its illogical ending. I don't know where Genndy Tartakovsky and his writers were going with the ending that completely negated and invalidated everything that happened in all 5 seasons of the show. The finale was so poorly put together, the final battle between Jack and Aku was despicably anti-climatic and boring. The final episode is so horrendously written and storyboarded that it's shocking that it was animated and broadcasted on television. 10 episodes wasn't enough to properly close out the show.
The ending made all 5 seasons pointless, like they never happened. Everyone that Jack met, knew and saved in the future now never existed and all Jack has left are memories and experiences with people from the future who never existed. And based on the contradictory and time paradoxical way the show ended, Jack shouldn't even remember anything about his beloved Ashi or anything he did in the future that now they never existed. The show's illogical ending doesn't make any sense; PERIOD! Genndy Tartakovsky only did what he wanted while not giving the fans the sensible happy ending that they wanted for the show and that makes for very bad writing.
Samurai Jack's Series Finale Ending Score: Epic Failure!
Would I recommend it to anyone to watch Samurai Jack's final episode: NO! So don't waste your time!
Alternatives to Samurai Jack's atrocious ending: Fanfictions, fan-made comics, fan-made animations and fan-made storyboards that make sense.
G.L. the Primal is an original character based on my fanfic, A Raven Like No Other.
This fanart, called “Emotions Unleased,” done by “Aslan1,” and colored in by “VesteNotus,” really expresses my idea of Raven’s emotions in my fanfic, A Raven Like No Other. The artist may or not know about my fic, but his/her artwork really expresses the feelings behind my fic, which I find cool:
