Author has written 6 stories for Monster Girl Quest. Gamer at heart, I finally decided to get in writing after having obtained my latest diploma, as a small project to pass time while I was looking for a job. The reason I choose to write about Monster Girl Quest: Paradox is simply because I enjoy the universe and its characters, but there are so many I felt that they could all use some more time in the limelight. I started by writing a few short stories centered about how I imagined the characters could interact in the Pocket Castle (because when you have characters who barely control themselves and other that have been at war for millenia that decide to join you, shenanigans are bound to happen), and, not before long, I found myself writing an overall intrigue that was overtaking my initial goal behind my concept. I eventually decided to write another story fully focused on Luka, while keeping working on character's interactions. When it comes to writing stories, I'm still searching myself. The initial ones were a few scripts written in the heat of the moment about situations I thought could be funny/strange/should be explored further. However, my stance on what I write shifted a lot since the beginning. I went from writing a few inconsequential one shots without overthinking it to chapters that I keep rewriting again and again to try to get the most satisfying result. Furthermore, I'm more analytic than creative, which means I feel more at ease guessing and developping from something already existing than creating a new setting/characters altogether. As such, I'm not going to reinvent everything from scratch. As last words, I would say that as I'm more used to writing financial or scientific reports, I welcome any constructive criticism. |
