Author has written 9 stories for Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal, Misc. Movies, David Eddings, Ballykissangel, Harry Potter, and M*A*S*H.
So every time I try to write one of these things it ends up a complete disaster. Things I have learnt:
Do not try to be funny.
Do not try to be witty.
Do not try to encapsulate your whole life into one tidy paragraph.
Having taken these little gems on board I am now at a loss. What can I say?
I love to write and did my first degree in English Literature. My first fanfics as a kid were XF, before I had ever heard of the internet or even such a thing as a fandom. I thought I was the only kid out there writing my favourite characters into all sorts of plot devices.
I don't think anything else about me matters terribly much here.
Update 2010: I seriously doubt I'm ever going to get back to some of the fics I've listed as 'in progress'. I'm sorry. With the ADMM in particular it's a case of having lost a lot of handwritten notes. I should dearly love to finish it one day, however. At the moment, life has taken over from fanfic. It won't be the case forever. I'm sure I'll be back.
Update 2013: I've just logged in for the first time in a very long while, drawn back in by a captivating SotL fic. In order to 'follow' the excellent story I had to log in and thus found myself facing my own writing from up to a decade ago. Some appalling stuff in there! I have now deleted a few stories that were particularly poorly written, so if you are one of the kind people who reviewed, followed or 'favourited' those stories, I apologise. I am debating taking down others too, but my sentimental attachment to Cheshire Cat has me conflicted for now. I do think it's one of my most poorly written stories but at the same time I remember the devotion I had for it at the time and how well received it was.
