Author has written 21 stories for Inuyasha, Naruto, Final Fantasy XII, Baten Kaitos, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Fullmetal Alchemist.
I hail from Galway, Ireland, and Gaelige is my first language--though I live in America now. I do love it here, but I also miss Ireland deeply. I love to sail, I love Latin, I love to game, and if anyone reads more than I do, they're the most slothful sofa-spud that has ever walked the Earth.
Current Obsessions: AO3, Sherlock BBC, eggs over-easy, relearning FusHa dialect (Arabic--I know Egyptian much better than formal), The Hobbit, Martin Freeman
Favorite Books: The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov (and basically anything else he ever wrote ever), Lord of the Rings, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, The Book of Lost Things, Out of Africa by Isak Dinesan.
Favorite Games: I have got a huge nerd boner for RPGs. I'm not really a big MMO gamer, but I can get into some, like KOTOR. I really enjoy RPGs like Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect (honestly, the most emotionally touching video game series I've ever played--I especially like how the decisions you made in the first game continued to affect you in the third, in more than a token way), Dragon Age (I can even enjoy some aspects of DA2, because Fenris is DAMN sexy), KOTOR, Chrono Trigger, Max Payne, Golden Sun (can this be considered an RPG? Hmm...), SOME of the Final Fantasy games (I liked VII in that it was an innovative approach to video game storytelling, but I wasn't much of a fan of the game itself--I genuinely liked XII though, because of Balthier C:), and the legendary Zelda games (I even liked Twilight Princess because of how dark it felt, but I hated with fiery passion Skyward Sword). If they're good, I also enjoy FPS games like Singularity and Bioshock. Basically anything Bioware did before DA2 was pure gold.
Languages in which I am fluent: English, Gaelige (Irish Gaelic, to non-natives), Turkish, Latin, Arabic, and I can speak basics in French and Spanish. Not so good with Levantine Arabic.
Pet Peeves: Ignoring the grammar of a language and trying to use the language anyway--which is, by the way, the basic premise of Google Translate. Actually, I'm warning any monolingual out there--do not try to use it. Other pet peeves include: children, coddling, cats, people who leave mean comments on YouTube, and mathematics.
In other news: Teen Wolf was better than I was expecting, Sherlock is almost filming again, I could marry Colin Morgan, and SO MANY GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING THIS YEAR.
