Hi, I'm Alabaster Constellations!
I primarily write Naruto fanfiction and read not just Naruto but HP, Teen Titans, and Avatar as well. I try to update once a week whether it be one of my longer works or a one-shot!
Currently working on The Nefera Bazaar and Konoha Private Academy though my focus is on completing the former.
Listed below are the Naruto pairs that I write about and a brief description of why I like that particular combination (I liked all of these before they were canon so I'm over the moon thrilled that they all worked out!)
ShikaTem (OTP): They have a very mature and coy love that's deeply rooted in a respect for one another's abilities and intelligence. They challenge each other, whether it be a philosophical debate or flirtatious banter, but will support each other when the time calls for it. They have the type of romance where there is an instant connection within the first few seconds of meeting each other. However, this connection isn't a childish romance (like love at first sight) but sophisticated and grows into a deeper understanding for one another. I really love these two both separately as characters and together as a couple and they're my favorite both to read and write about. My love for these two go so far as to completely skipping over any fanfic that has either of these two paired with anyone else. In my own writing I'll allude to other characters being interested in each other (Konoha Private Academy has some KankuIno and eventually KibaHina) but never could I even think to write about Shikamaru or Temari liking or being with anyone else. I don't believe in soulmates but if I did, they would be each others.
NejiTen: These guys are a runner-up to ShikaTem. Neji and Tenten have the type of love that I can only see fostering after years of friendship and knowing each other. Neji does not seem like the type of person to fall in love quickly without really getting to know the other person. He's someone who needs to respect and admire the person he falls in love with and the romance between him and Tenten stems from their friendship. I love the idea that Neji is stoic but can become witty and open around a more playful and strong Tenten.
NaruHina: My biggest fanfiction work so far is The Nefera Bazaar which is NaruHina fanfic. Their love is very innocent and sweet. It's based on Hinata's ability to see the good in people and recognizing Naruto as the most caring and loyal person of the Rookie 9. Hinata's admiration and faith work perfectly with Naruto, a person who has always had confidence in his teammates and has stood by everyone during their trials and tribulations. The idea that Naruto has finally found a person who sees the best in him and he in turn cherishes Hinata who is also underestimated is so beautiful and touching.
SaiIno: Most of my one-shots are about these cuties. Their relationship is both hilarious and super adorable. I love reading about a grown up and less superficial Ino and I especially love reading stories where Ino is patient and helps Sai understand the world. I also feel like their relationship would have the most fights and trouble because of how extremely opposite they are and I like that. All the other couple are perfect for one another and there are no foreseeable problems but with Sai and Ino there are definitely moments of miscommunication and hurting each others feelings whether by accident or not. They're more relatable and I love that they can grow together. It also gives me as a writer a chance to add some tension and drama. The juxtaposition between the outgoing and relatable Ino to the emotional unaware Sai is priceless!
SasuSaku: I would say I read fanfics about these two more than any other couple. Sasuke and Sakura have a relationship based on angst and unhealthy dependence. Sakura's love for Sasuke is superficial at first then transforms into a devotion based on her need to better and heal a broken Sasuke. His love for her is out of convenience and childhood memories of her constant care and attention over him. I do think they love each other (well Sakura definitely love him but not quite sure about the other way around), but their type of romance is something you would expect to find in Twilight. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate them! I enjoy reading fanfics where Sakura is smart and mature enough to realize her feelings for Sasuke were/are unhealthy and her relationship with Sasuke is then built on understanding each other rather than a blind faith in the Uchiha. But, I can't completely say I like that they ended up together in the manga.
KakaAnko: I mean it's pretty farfetched, but I love the two together. I like the super scary and twisted, yet playful Anko with the pervy, flirtatious, and clever Kakashi.
So if you read any of my works, be prepared to see these pairs ending up together. It's just how it works.
Be sure to check out my work and leave some criticism (positive or negative)! The feedback is very encouraging and helps improve my writing style and flow.
Thanks so much!
