Thank you to everyone who left comments on my first short story - your encouragement has led to this new, light hearted, 'What if', where Darcy and Elizabeth allow each other the opportunity for candid speech earlier in their interactions. This "delightful mix of the absurd and the poignant" begins when opinionated Lady Catherine condescends to give wedding night advice to the clueless Collinses. The ripple from this act benefits the usual cast in a story focusing on love, loss and second chances, with a generous dose of humor. "M" for explicit advice, ridiculous fantasies and sex.

Mr Darcy is not able to see Elizabeth on the evening that she does not go to dinner at Rosings and as a result the disastrous Hunsford proposal never takes place.
