Author has written 5 stories for Twilight, Janet Evanovich, Maximum Ride, and Kiesha'ra.
Hello everyone, my name is Brittney, although my sister calls me Bert (It's a long story)
username used to be victorianvamp105, but felt like it didn't fit me anymore. Didn't want to make a drastic change in case some were confused.
As long as a story or book is well written I'll read any genre. I always have a new plot going through my head which is why I can't finish any of my stories so I try not to post them, as an unfinished posted story is torture.
Let's see, I've read a 900 page novel in two days. I am in my fourth year of college! I willingly jumped out of an airplane to free fall for 60 seconds :) and I love to come here to escape for awhile and to learn from every talented person here.
Favorite author (as of this moment): Neil Gaiman
Favorite book: Anansi Boys
Most desired place to visit: Japan (since I finally got to go to Ireland for 3 months
I love chocolate, but am finding I'll also fall over my feet to eat zuccini and asparagus (weird, but oh so yummy)
Favorite Anime's: Fruits Basket (TohruxKyo), Special A (KeixHikari), Inuyasha (KagomexInu), Kaichou Wa Maid Sama (UsuixMisaki)

List of books of read and liked with some comments for those who are interested:
The Thief, Queen of Attolia, King of Attolia, A Conspiracy of Kings by Megan Whalen Turner: the 4th bk deviates from the style of the first 3 and that bothered me a little
The Host also by Stephenie Meyer: interesting take for a heroine, very altruistic
Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance by Christopher Paolini: he steals a lot from other sources (but if you don't know much about celtic mythology or the lord of the rings you're good: although he did create a couple of his own languages)
Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder: (can get dark, she doesn't pull any punches. sometimes graphic too. but love the characters!)
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series (adult series, enough said)
Maximum Ride series by James Patterson (first couple of books are pretty good, but you'll come to realize he keeps writing the same thing in each book. characters are very static. He writes better adult bks)
O'Malley series by Dee Henderson
Dragonspell, Dragonquest, Dragonknight, DragonFire, Dragonlight by Donita K. Paul (I love dragon bks)
Lone Survivor by Marcus Lutrell (true story, very sad)
Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (one of my fav's, but really short)
In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (there are sequels, but you don't have to read in order at all. They just deal with the same world)
In Death series by J.D. Robb (adult crime series, enough said)
This Beautiful Mess by Rick McKinley
Airborn, Skybreaker, StarClimber by Kenneth Oppel (just fun reads)
Graceling and Fire by Kristen Cashore (companion bks, same world different people): (wonderfully written and the characters are awesome)
Firebird by Kathy Tyers
Raised by wolves and Trial by Fire by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (i'm also reading her other books The Squad: Perfect Cover and Killer Instinct): just fun reads also
Shiver and Linger by Maggie Stiefvater (also Lament and Ballad: faerie bks): Maggie's awesome
Strange Angels, Betrayals, Jealousy, Defiance by Lili St. Crow (like Buffy and Vampire Diaries put together): also just fun reads for supernatural fans
Crusade by Nancy Holder and Debbie Vigue: interesting. not worth it to buy, just get from a library.
Eon and Eona by Alison Goodman: very cool. I love the asian culture and themes interwoven to create a different world
Tamora Pierce (anything of hers will be great)
The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins: can be hard to read since it's dealing with kids dying, a war, and creepy creatures, but very good
Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman: he writes like he is telling you a story out loud, it's wonderfully written. I have never enjoyed a book so much as this one :)
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card: stick with it. it may seem hard to grasp some things at first because the author just jumps right in and doesn't feel the need to explain a lot. just go with it you'll catch on
more will be added as I find them :)
Lula to Stephanie: 'You're starting to scare me. You look like you're having a long conversation and it's not with me.' Stephanie Plum series
Dean to Sam: "See that attitude right there is why I always got the extra cookie" Supernatural tv show
Sam to Dean: "I lost my shoe" sad face
From The Host: 'I knew it would begin with the end, and the end would look like death to these eyes. I had been warned.'
From Heart of Darkness: 'I have a voice too and for good or evil mine is the speech that cannot be silenced!'
my sister to me: "There's a fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you." Shoves her giant duck Wilson in my face.
my best friend: "Mr. Darcy can bite me!" evil glare towards guy she is secretly in love with. best. moment. ever
Spock to Kirk: "I would site regulation but I know you would just ignore it." Star Trek (newest movie)
Peter Pan: 'forget them. forget them all. come with me where you'll never, never have to worry about grown up things again.'
Hook and Peter Pan: 'If you are Hook, then who am I?' 'You...are a codfish.'
Favorite Bible verse: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7
"If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
