Austin The Tiers of Pluto Universe Brief Summary: (PM me if you have any questions) Seven Planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) compete for the rights to own earth and its resources for a year. These planets have been terraformed and are now livable. In order to win Earth, the candidates must capture the spes in the final tier. The spes can only be captured in the fifth and final tier. There are five tiers structured across the surface of Pluto. Inside each structured tier is an assortment of traps, creatures, and harsh elements. Candidates will have to navigate through each tier, facing off with each other, plus every new element a new tier offers. Each Planet is ruled by a Sar. Sar of Mercury, Kilos of Larunda Sar of Venus, Sapphira Camerinus Sar of Mars, Helvius Liberalis Sar of Jupiter, Lepid of the Great City of Ovid Sar of Saturn, Raisa Ru'ash Sar of Uranus, Antonius Agnos Sar of Neptune, Eurulia Targuatis Candidates of the Tiers are all selected by the Shophet (the judges). There is no volunteering. Each candidate is selected based on skillset, political standing or connection within the society, or bribery. There are Twelve assigned Shophets for each planet. These is systematic throughout the galaxy. Each candidate faces them for evaluation before selection. Planets (Solar System): Mercury (Second Poorest Planet/Lowest Populated Planet) Mercury is the lowest populated planet, because half the planet turned to ash after attempting to solar harvest too much energy from the sun. Mercury is divided into seven villages (Adventile, Artaois, Avernus, Bemposta, Cisson, and Moccus). It is noted that Moccus is the poorest, the people there referred to as “pigs.” The only city in Mercury is named Larunda. Many of the Candidates come from Larunda. Weapon of Choice of Candidates is a staff. Body Type: Candidates tend to be the smallest in size. They value agility, stealth, and brains. Their strategy has always been to make it to the final tier first, letting the other teams take each other out. Mercury’s Primary Production: livestock (pig, ram, and chicken) and grain. However, Larunda has factories that produce specialty designed textiles. Most of the armor worn by those entering the tiers is produced in Mercury, to which they trade for other resources. Mercury also does produces space transportation. Venus (Third Wealthiest Planet/Third Lowest Populated Planet) Venus is one of the wealthiest planets in the solar system. It is a lowly populated because terraforming has been trickier here, with the majority of the population surviving by chemical energy production and harvested solar energy. Venus is divided into three large cities (Aglaea, Euphrosyne, and Thalia) and twenty-seven townships. The townships do not have names, but are identified as Charity 1, Charity 2, Charity 3, and so forth all the way to Charity 27.) Weapon of choice is a necklace that transforms into a technological advance flail. Body Type: Candidates mostly consist of women. These candidates are witty, silver-tongued, charming, deceptive, and attractive. Men candidates are a rarity, but do happen, although it is slightly shamed in society. Venus’ Primary Production: sensory and scented items, healing salves, grape and wine harvest, vegetation and florals production, solar energy, and chemical energy, Other things to note: Venus tends to create alliances with Mars and almost always work to target Uranus and Neptune first. Those who live in cities are known as garlands or crowns to those who live in townships. There is great divisions amongst the poor and rich here. The poor rarely make it into the tiers. Mars (Wealthiest Planet/Third Highest Populated Planet) Mars is divided into three major cities (Mariś Halna, Mariś Husrnana, and Mariś Isminthians) and eleven surrounding towns that are named after the founding leader (Hercle, Juno, Matronalia, Valor, Vis, Numin, Numitar, Owen, Numa, Camponius, Archer). Candidate's weapon of choice is spear and shield. Body Type: Candidates tend to be muscular and fit. Most children start training for the tiers at age 7. Candidates tend to be the most ruthless, preferring brutality. They can be feral or savage in the tiers, preferring to kill even those who surrender. Surrendering is acceptable in the tiers, although it does not always guarantee a candidate will live. Some candidates (such as those from Mars) would never surrender, as it is the biggest disgrace one can give to their planet. Mars’ Primary Production: Livestock, Weaponry Production, and Mining for Gold, Silver, Glass, Oil, Iron, and H-3. Space transportation and armory is one of their highest productions, too. Other things to note: Mars is the wealthiest because of how many times their candidates have captured the spes, earning them the rights to Earth for a year. They’ve profited off of raising trade prices and forcing other planets to pay double, if not triple, what they paid the previous year. Jupiter (Third Poorest Planet/Highest Populated Planet) Moon Colonies: Europa, Ganymede, Io, Callisto. Jupiter consists of eight heavily populated townships (Helketh, Beten, Hazar, Gibeon, Ain, Ether, Ramah of the North and Ramah of the South and three great cities (The Great City of Jove, The Great City of Arx, The Great City of Ovid.) Jupiter is also part of the Gas Giant Alliance with Saturn and Uranus, although this alliance benefits Uranus most. Candidate’s weapon of choice is sword. Body type: Candidates are the largest, and are muscular. They tend to value brawn over brains or beauty. They are highly skilled in combat, too, falling just shy behind Mars in training. Jupiter’s Primary Production: Livestock and Fish, Weaponry Production, Lumber, and Mining. Other things to note: Jupiter typically has unskilled Halak and Chakam. In the past they have struggled in keeping their Chakam alive because the Halak isn’t capable of patching wounds or stopping bleeding. This has been a serious problem for them in the past. And other planets, like Mars, Venus, and Uranus, have exploited this weakness with ease, knocking them out of the tiers early. Saturn (Poorest Planet/ Highest Populated Planet) Moon Colonies: Titan, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, and Iapetus. Saturn consists of one large city (Lua Saturni), surrounded by seven townships (Emek Keziz, Kattath, Anagnia, Ferintinum, Aletrium, Gath Hapher, Chisloth Tabor) Saturn is also Part of the Gas Giant Alliance with Jupiter and Uranus. Candidates weapon of choice is a scythe or javelin. Body Type: Candidates are large and muscular. They also wear cloaks over their armor as tradition. Attempting to copy Mars, they too have started training their children young. They value brawn over brains and beauty. They have also been known to be missing limbs because of how brutal training can be. Before selection of the tiers, a festival called the “Krone” is held to where, Malik and Nahals fight for the death to earn their right to face the tiers of pluto. Many candidates come with missing limbs, toes, fingers, and eyes because of how brutal the “Krone” can be. This also is believed to put Saturn at an even greater disadvantage and coins them the name “Saturn Savages.” Saturn’s Primary Production: grain, textiles, distilleries, and infantry (as a form of population control citizens are paid to leave and go to work at other planets or on earth.) Other things to note: They are known by the other planets as the “Saturn Savages” because of their lack of technological advances and missing limbs. However, Saturn’s strength lies in the Chakam, as they tend to be very wise and when kept alive do well to find the spes. Uranus (Second Wealthiest Planet/Fourth Highest Populated Planet) Moon Colonies: Titania, Umbriel, Portia, Miranda, Puck, Ariel, and Oberon. Part of the Gas Giant Alliance with Jupiter and Saturn. Uranus is divided into twenty-one individual quarters (Epsilon, Upsilon, Omicron, Rho, Omega, Pi, Phi, Sigma, Alpha, Lambda, Mu, Gamma, Tau, Kappa, Delta, Zeta, Theta, Eta, and Beta.) Epsilon is the wealthiest quarter and is rare for women to be selected for the tiers from this quarter. Epsilon is also where the Sar lives. Theta, Eta, and Beta are the poorest quarters and are considered to be filled with. Tumah (people with physical deformities or who are considered grotesque by societies standards.) These deformities came from a H-3 mining leak years back. Candidate’s weapon of choice dull daggers, short blades, or throwing knives. Body Type: Candidates are genetically modified (can be muscle implants, genetic sculpting, etc). These candidates are highly skilled in combat, nearly tying with Mars. They are also quite attractive, giving Venus candidates a ru for their money in appearance. They are well rounded with brains, brawn, and beauty. Uranus’ Primary Production: H-3 Mining, Medicine, Genetic Modifications Other things to note: Uranus’ citizens and candidates are the most genetically altered. They want to literally look like gods and goddesses.. Candidates tend to be the most well balanced in brains, brute strength, and beauty. They also tend to produce highly skilled Nahal. Neptune (Fourth Wealthiest Planet/Second Lowest Populated Planet) Moon Colonies: Proteus, Triton. Neptune also consists of individual quarters. However, there are only twelve quarters. (Iron, Silver, Gold, Bronze, Copper, Zinc, Brass, Steel, Tin, Lead, Silicon, and Nickel.) Candidates weapon of choice is a trident. Body Type: These candidates are smaller in size and prefer to value wits over brute strength and beauty. They are not genetically modified or insanely muscular, but prefer to be a bit larger than mercury. They value agility and speed. Neptune’s Primary Production: Medicine and Technological Advancements, Fish and Livestock, Mining, Other things note: Uranus believes them to copy everything they do. There is great hatred and tension between Uranus and Neptune. Essentially, they are rivals with Uranus. Ever since the Uranus Massacre, in which Neptune massacred Uranus entire team, not even sparing the Halak. In past tiers, Neptune's have produced talented Halak's. They also tend to value medical advancement on this planet. Currently, they're working for their citizens to live double as long as the citizens on Uranus. Positions of the Candidates sent into the Tiers There are six candidates on each team sent into the Tiers of Pluto. Each candidate falls under the positions of: Melek, Halak, Zaquen, Chakam, and Nahal. 1) Melek - the chief, the commandant. The Melek is the commanding officer of the company. It is by their decisions, their leadership, their intuition that the team navigates through the tiers of pluto. The Melek are chosen by Shophets which are the ruling judges for each planet. If a Melek takes their team to victory (optaining the spes and the rights to Earth for a year) they can move on to become “Ro’sh” which is a commanding chief in the military. Melek’s also have the potential to become the Sar, which is the ultimate ruler of each individual planet’s sphere. However, Melek’s also face massive shame if wounded, if most of their team is lost, and if they fail to obtain the spes (the victory in the tiers.) Many who lose in the tiers are thrown into outcast, viewed as unworthy or untouchable society, or take a route to off themselves due to shame of lost. 2) Halak - the one to go along with, to accompany. The Halak is the healer. They go along for the journey, only to accompany, verses to kill. This does not mean, however, that the Halak cannot kill. Many have killed in the past. This is just not their first nature. 3) Zaquen - the elder leader, elderly person The Zaquen is a previous candidate who has already faced the tiers of Pluto. This does not mean they are necessarily elderly or old. They can be young, ranging from 19 years of age up to 80 years of age. A note: the Zaquen is not the leader and cannot make decisions, only suggestions. Some Zaquen go back into the tiers for redemption after failing in their previous tiers. An important note: Zaquen’s are never past Meleks or Chakams. They can only be from the preceding class of Halak or Nahal. 4) Chakam - the sage, wise one There is one Chakam, known as the wise one, who has the ability through technology, wisdom, and other earthy abilities to discover the spes. The Chakam is the one of the team who can touch the Spes without bursting into flames. It is said they are the only one’s worthy to hold such a holy gift. Many Chakam’s are killed in the tier, because once a team’s Chakam is killed, there can be no obtaining of the spes. The best way to eliminate a teams chancing of obtaining the spes is by killing the Chakam. More Chakams die in the tiers than live through them. 5) Nahal—the one to escort, to transport, to guide (be the right hand of the Chakam) 6) Nahal—the one to escort, to transport, to guide (be the left hand of the Chakam) There are two Nahal. Said to be at the right and the left hand of the Chakam. The Nahal will risk their life to protect the Chakam. They are seen as extremely selfless and devoted to the cause of catching the spes. Nahal are also the most skilled warriors in combat. Submission Form: Name: Planet of Origin: Gender: Age: (Melek, Halak, Chakam, and Nahal are all eighteen years of age.)
