Prompt fill- Character A must do something awful to Character B to save them from something worse. It should have been a simple little case but it ended in a blaze of gunfire. Now Magnum is bleeding out and Higgins will do whatever it takes to keep him alive. Even if the guilt may kill her.

Magnum has managed to get himself sick. He'd quite like Higgins to read to him while running her fingers through his hair. At least, that's what Rick and T.C. say.

Objessions and Gib went down the rabbit hole after the end of Season 2. This is their collaboration in creating an alternative way forward after Mac walks out of Phoenix. Mac finds out that Oversight was up to a lot more than manipulating him into a job.

Magnum takes a simple, straightforward, corporate espionage case. But is anything ever really simple?

"C'mon, Jack," Mac forced himself to laugh as he reached out and carefully took Jack's hand. "Despite what you want people to think, you're not stupid. You'd tell me if you actually got bit by a…" His words trailed off and his mouth went dry despite the water he had just downed as he turned Jack's hand over and saw the two puncture marks.

After being rescued, the adrenaline fades and both Higgins and Magnum crash. In other words, crossing the Malakai channel has repercussions that simply cannot be avoided. EPISODE TAG - 1X19

Jack doesn't know if watching Mac lock himself in a room full of nerve gas is the most stupid thing he's watched Mac do, but it definitely ranks high on the list. Coming in right under that is agreeing with Oversight's decision to fly back to the Phoenix for medical treatment and observation rather than hightailing it to the nearest hospital. Set after Nature Versus Nurture and Warriors. It's the Fourth of July in Austin, Texas. But fireworks and the Texas heat aren't the only things running hot. James and Jack must come to an understanding about where they stand in Mac's life. Mac must decide whether his father has a place at all.

"Okay now, you might have arranged the meeting, but our friendship was galvanized through hardship. We did that on our own." Or: a place for me to keep all the little Army fics that I've had floating around forever about our two favorite boys becoming brothers.

Tag to Episode 2:23 MacGyver & MacGyver. Mac has left Phoenix, but the twin reaches of biology and loyalty are proving hard to escape. He'll be forced to face his father and all the lies and misunderstandings between them if he is to save his partner. He might have willingly walked away from Phoenix and his dad, but that didn't mean he'd ever turn his back on his brother.

Set post S2, pre S3. Jack may have accepted Mac walking away from the Phoenix, but protecting Mac was for life. Especially when the odds stacked against him include a dangerous chemical agent, a couple of rogue scientists, and a few nefarious mercenaries. Jack will stop at nothing to keep Mac safe, even it means crawling through Roman catacombs, wounded, with a blind partner.

Military Fic / Pre-Series 2016 version - Mac can compartmentalize like no one Jack has ever met, but even his young EOD has his limits. Jack discovers Mac's fear of heights, the hard way.

Mac's sole ire was for the damn Twinkies. He stomped the unopened pack, grinding sponge cake and cream into the blood splattered floor of the convenience store as he followed the stretcher toting his partner towards the red-lighted ambulance waiting for them beyond the shattered door. It was not the way he'd planned for them to spend Memorial Day.

In the middle of the morning on a normal day, Mac is taken and circumstances outside their control stop Jack, Riley, and Bozer from being able to go after him. It's going to take help from a lot of unlikely allies to find Mac and bring him home before the Organization goes too far and he's lost to them for good. (warnings at beginning of each chapter)

This is the first time one of Mac's plans has gone horrifically pear-shaped in front of Riley and Bozer. This is most assuredly not the first time it has happened in front of Jack. (And it never gets any easier.) Or: the one where Mac falls, Bozer and Riley watch him come close to death for the first time, and Jack holds everyone (for the most part) together (for as long as he can)

Between Brothers AU. Jack Dalton wanted nothing more than to be home for Christmas. He imagined telling his kid brother that there would be no miracle coming this year would be the worst kind of news. That is until he gets word Mac has been hurt. Jack is willing to do almost anything to make it back, including pulling off the impossible.

Set mid-S2. Not all missions are a success, no matter how good Mac is at improvising. One failure hits Mac particularly hard and before he's able to re-balance, the team is in the middle of another crisis—this time Mac's ready to die before he fails to protect another innocent. Unless Jack has something to say about it.

But when a surprise visitor shows up at Jack's door, Mac's day almost goes from worse to worst. Almost. As always, Jack's got his back.

I haven't felt up to writing because I've been sick, but after Fish Scaler I felt the need to do this little tag, based on Matty's evaluation of MacGyver. Jack feels the need to defend his friend.

Jack finds himself taking care of a sick Riley, just like he used to when she was a kid.

When Mac and Jack are both injured on a mission, Mac and Bozer both come to realizations that there's a lot to the old saying that ignorance is bliss, and that although lies may offer a sort of refuge, the only safe haven any of them have is in the truth, and trusting one another.

So helloyesimhere wanted to do a fic exchange, which I'm totally down with. So in my story, Christmas Snow and Miracles A Glow I alluded to Jack and Mac's first time meeting and helloyesimhere wanted me to write about it. So here it is, complete with some Mac whump. Enjoy.

So watching Scissors and the TRUST thing and the family thing and Mac being Jack's cheerleader to Riley, just reminded me again of how awesome the BROMANCE is. S2, after Through a Glass Darkly. Out of favor with the King, Treville and d'Artagnan are assigned to transport prisoners to Soissons. When their party is ambushed, Rochefort sends the Red Guard after the prisoners under the guise of protecting the King. But the Inseparables mount their own, dangerous rescue, brotherhood holding more importance than a a doomed outcome.

Written as an entry to the third 'Fete des Mousquetaires' challenge with the prompt 'Frozen', this story is set on a snowy Christmas Eve in Paris when the Inseparables make an important discovery. Belated season's greetings to you all.

Athos had loved once. Perhaps not as easily as Aramis or as steadily as Porthos or as fiercely as d'Artagnan. But he had loved his brother and his wife and the future laid out before him. And he had lost it all.

"I failed in my duty as a Musketeer. But worse, I failed in my duty as your friend." Events after Season 2 and beyond.

d'Artagnan, completely on his own for the first time in his life, finds fate has tossed him an opportunity he's been longing for, though as is often the case, the price of the newly opened door is costly - his father's life. What further payment will capricious fate require if he finds the courage to follow his dream?

"Choose to believe it was God's message if you will, but perhaps a warning rather than prophesy ..."

"I often thought I was ready to die," he gasped. "But now, I am not so sure." Athos launches a plan on Christmas Eve to allow Aramis to meet his son. Unforeseen events cause the plan to unravel, and Charlotte, an apothecary's daughter, is called upon for help. Meanwhile, Aramis and Queen Anne face a threat to their future..and that of their newborn son.

The return to Pinon is both better and worse than any of them could ever have expected. It is a good job that they have their brotherhood to see them through. A series of missing scenes for Season 2 Episode 5 "The Return"

Plagued by the first of numerous withdrawal symptoms, a misstep puts Athos' musketeer career in jeopardy before it even actually begins. This story opens a week or so after the events in Worth Saving, a bit of 17th century rehab sponsored by Aramis and Porthos.

The boys decide to break up the boredom of a cold winter day by throwing down a challenge to see can go the longest without the familiar comfort of an alcoholic beverage. Porthos, d'Artagnan, and Aramis are sure that Athos will be the first to fall, but he vows to outlast them all. Inspired by a prompt from the creatively evil mind of Booyakasha.

He pulled himself onto the mount and wheeled it around, the three men moving away to give him room. Without a backward glance, he kicked the horse into motion, making his way out of the woods and on his way to being a fugitive.

A suspiciously easy bust goes sideways, and Danny fears the worst when Steve is badly injured in an explosion. Lots of friendship, little plot. No slash.

Aramis had witnessed worse. Far worse. But that didn't make seeing the evidences of violence on his friend any easier. Tag to S02E02, "An Ordinary Man"

In the aftermath of a mission gone wrong, Athos blames himself. Despite all evidence showing that d'Artagnan is lost, he refuses to believe that. He simply cannot allow himself to rest until he knows for sure, one way or the other.

Takes place between the pilot episode and episode 2. My take on what they went through to forge a brotherhood so quickly. D'Artagnan returns home to Lupiac after Athos's release from prison to bury his father. Chapter 10. Loose ends are tied up, things become clearer to d'Artagnan and takes steps to build a new life for himself from the ashes of his old life.

Athos tries to deal with the repercussions of Anne's reappearance in his life, whilst his brothers try to convince him he is a good man, aka the Milady Arc.. Spoilers for the entire season, not a romance, but a tale of missing scenes, angst, hurt/comfort, humour and brotherly love as a route to eventual healing. .

"As Athos watched, the young Gascon seemed to grow. Taller, broader. Willing to carry this knowledge and this responsibility."

Milady is finally out of their lives and out of Paris. Athos is trying to put the past behind him, but somehow it isn't that easy. How would he respond if his past sins began to hurt others in ways he could not anticipate or stop? Post Season 1.

"We're protecting him, but he won't thank us for it. He'll see it as betrayal."

Just a simple mission...gone very awry. When their field medic is put out of commission, who will pick up the needle and wield it in his stead? Plenty of brotherly banter and more than a little hurt/comfort.

He was more terrified than he'd let on, but knew that d'Artagnan needed him to stay steady. Now that he was alone, his mind conjured unbidden the many stories he'd heard from those who'd survived the fevers in the past – if this was the start of another epidemic, no one was safe.

Set S1, between episodes 3, Commodities, and 4, Good Soldier. A voluntary mission turns d'Artagnan from a wayward recruit into a Musketeer in all but name. However, first things go very, very wrong. As they do. And the men are pushed to their limits to keep their brotherhood intact.

"I believe that our best chance of success is to introduce someone familiar to them. Someone who has been away and has lost everything during that time – his family, his farm. A man such as this might be believed to possess the character of a bandit, regardless of who he might have been in the past. Are you that man d'Artagnan?" Spoilers for ep. 1.10, regular updates.

D'Artagnan runs into unexpected trouble on his way back from Gascony. Well, Athos may have expected it. And Treville. My attempt to explain the depth of the musketeers' brotherhood, especially when they think they may lose one of their own.

Set post S1. It's an unwritten rule of the Musketeers not to delve too deeply into another man's past; it's simply enough to be one of the brotherhood. But when their Captain goes missing, the Musketeers realize the only way to save him is to learn what he's kept hidden for so long. And these men would willingly go through Hell to rescue the man who at one time saved them all.

"Death is forgivable," muttered Athos darkly. "Abandoning him is not."

April of 1625 had been one of the hardest months of Porthos' life. But in a strange way, it had probably been one of the best as well. Savoy-centric origin story, in which Aramis is grieving, Porthos is a saint, and Athos just kind of shows up, eventually.

Two tortured souls in a cemetery. Two 221B ficlets set at the very end of 'The Reichenbach fall'.

Soldiers follow orders, no matter where they lead. Even if they lead to death. d'Artagnan discovers how far he is willing to go to save his brothers. Set sometime after d'Artagnan receives his commission (post 1.09, Knight Takes a Queen).

Tréville knew his decision would impact d'Artagnan the most, but there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to protect his men. Tag to 1.08 The Challenge.

I've read a few other stories where D'Artagnan learns to help Aramis tend to the wounded. So I had to write one too. So there's a bit of Aramis ouchie and a bit of D'Artagnan whump. Because I can't stop myself from whumping or hurting or angsting D'Artagnan. The beautiful boy does it so beautifully. It's not my fault.

At the end of the night, d'Artagnan leaves the tavern and the loss of his father catches up with him. Speculative epilog for Friends and Enemies. D'Artagnan. Aramis. Athos and Porthos mentioned. Gen.

Five one-shots of whumpage and brotherly fluffiness as our Musketeers try to get some sleep and are disturbed.

And his own voice echoed through his head, mocking. "Death is inevitable, but you'll bleed for hours first."

The disbelief warred with disgust across Porthos' scarred face. He growled, shaking his head. "I'd rather die like a man than be hunted like an animal."

D'Artagnan finds that life as a newly commissioned Musketeer does not run as smoothly as he might have wished. Especially when he crosses paths with an old foe of Athos. Will d'Artagnan continue to profit from his lessons and let his head rule his heart or will his Gascon pride be his downfall? Set between 1.8 and 1.9.

In the darkest hours, when they want to act, but can't, the burn of anxiety and anger has to go somewhere. Meme fill for the prompt: nervous habits.

With misguided reasoning, Athos claims to be hungover, when really he's injured. Aramis and Porthos are not impressed. Prompt fill.

An issue with another musketeers makes d'Artagnan question his commission.(correct story this time, thank you kind readers)

There had been whispers and rumors of dissidents gathering a force in Doue. Treville had ordered them to investigate. They'd been pointed to this country estate by a barkeep in town, but it looked quiet and empty. Which made Athos uneasy.

Athos was quite clear in his instruction. d'Artagnan was supposed to return to Paris with the others. Instead, he decides to disregard the Musketeers orders. Can d'Artagnan convince the Musketeer he is still to be trusted and can Athos finally find a route to redemption? Set during Commodities, right after the fire. It is d'Artagnan's turn to step up and take care of Athos.

Just how did d'Artagnan come to throw his lot in with the Musketeers? Spoilers for the end of Friends and Enemies, the start of Sleight of Hand and a long missing scene for the end of that episode. When Sherlock eventually returns after the events of "The Reichenbach Fall", this is not quite the welcome he had anticipated.

Sherlock's unwell. Neither John nor Sherlock seem to realize it. However, it won't take long before the truth is brought to light... What IS ailing Sherlock Holmes? ON HIATUS.

Post-Reichenbach, John has rebuilt a life for himself, until one day, "holding up" has a whole new meaning. Can you say 'bank robbery?

John shouldn't be surprised when Sherlock hides his illness from him. Sherlock doesn't give into illness like most people. However... what started as a simple problem is turning into something much more painful... for both Sherlock and his consulting doctor.

Mycroft was a man accustomed to being in control. John had a habit of challenging that. A Reichenbach scene/character study.

Sometimes Sherlock wanted help but he didn't know what he needed; he knew John would. H/C, almost a sickfic.

Sherlock wakes up one morning and finds that something is not right. Sorry about the vague description but I don't want to give too much away too soon! Filling a prompt for Prothoe - sick!Sherlock. Friendship only between John and Sherlock. Please R&R!

On New Year's Eve, Sherlock discovers that sometimes it's the seemingly innocuous, rather than life-threatening, conditions that can keep John from The Work. And John is reminded just how deeply their friendship runs.

The worst part was that Lestrade knew the kind of pain you had to put a man through to make him come out that strong on the other side. What he didn't expect was that a Christmas party would be what sent John over the edge. Oneshot.

Post-Reichenbach - Something just seemed missing to me. Maybe I just felt it was the most logical distraction for John, as he coped with Sherlock's absence. His heart is so full of possible compassion, that he seemed like a perfect dog owner. Or, maybe I just want Moffat to have to work with animals. Ultimately, my hope is to lift your heart. It was only when people actually saw John working as a physician that they began to understand: that it wasn't just about bullets and IEDs and trauma care under fire. In the aftermath of Sherlock's jump, John isn't the only one who misses him. He's a doctor, after all, and can't help but notice when someone isn't taking care of himself, and that's not what Sherlock would have wanted, is it? So he does what he can to offer comfort … not knowing that Mycroft is keeping a secret. But that's all right. So is John. COMPLETE at 2 chapters.

Lestrade figured that anyone who thought John Watson wasn't important, and that Sherlock hadn't changed since meeting him, had to be completely, bloody deaf. Because it was all right there, in every sound Sherlock made. For anyone attentive enough to listen.

When Sherlock, John, Donovan and Anderson find themselves locked in a small confined room, Sherlock's severe claustrophobia is exposed, revealing more about the detective than the three ever could have expected. A massive storm keeps John trapped in Baker Street with a half-blind (for science!), very bored Sherlock Holmes.

John Watson was a doctor, trained to observe details; a fact Sherlock had never been more aware of than when a drugged John's lifesaving instructions were based on an unlabeled syringe and an unconscious murder suspect's body.

"Not good?" Two words and Lestrade realized just who John Watson actually was.

After the fall Sherlock starts writing texts to John. Of course, he never sends them... Until he does by accident. Post Reichenbach fic but not angsty.

Post-Reichenbach. It is six months after Sherlock's death, and John Watson has just started to move on with his life when Mycroft Holmes summons him to the Diogenes Club.
