Author has written 50 stories for Zorro, Death Note, and Highlander. As a fanfiction author, I have focused on the New World Zorro because I love clever people, I think I have a good enough grasp of the characters and of the episodes, because I loved the series, and because I’ve hated the unfinished ending. But I love many other shows, and I will try to write for them as soon as the NWZ stories stop popping up in my head. In terms of favorite characters, my all-time favorite is Diego, no doubt about it, but I also love Felipe almost as much. As for the bad guys, I love De Soto and, especially, his interactions with Mendoza and Diego on the show. I also think the final episodes tried to redeem him, so I tend to do that, as well, in my own stories. I prefer reveal stories, but I love the buildup to the reveal and hate reading about Victoria’s exaggerated reactions to finding out Zorro’s identity (although I do also read some such stories and even fav. a few of them… only because they are too good not to!). My fav. fanfiction author is Ruth Parker. I discovered her stories (https:///.../home.../~passatasotto/home.html) quite recently, which is rather good for me because I don't think I would have ever even considered writing, had I read them before April 2020:)). The simple reason is that, since I started writing because I didn't find a fanfiction story to adequately finish the open-ending of the NWZ Tv Show, had I read her very good stories before, I probably wouldn’t have even considered coming up with my own finale. And that would have been a shame, if for no other reason, than just because I’ve been having a lot of fun writing.:P I also have some other favs (authors and stories) and I recommend everyone visiting my profile to take a look at them. More recently I was made aware that several authors have started using some of my ideas in their own stories. I have conflicting feelings about this, but, truth be told, I also borrow ideas from others, even if I take them in a different direction. At some point, I guess, it's hard for an author/reader to know what he/she has thought of and what she/he just remembers having read somewhere. So, I guess I tend towards feeling honored that others find my ideas interesting enough to borrow. I do, however, appreciate it when they mention that in their stories. One more thing: I am not a native English speaker and still make mistakes, so don’t judge me too harshly on them, but do send me a PM to tell me if you find something I need to correct! I also gladly accept suggestions and constructive criticism. Finally, I am, as other writers, rather addicted to reviews, so please leave one if you like my stories! |
