![]() Author has written 21 stories for Chuck, Smallville, Harry Potter, Princess Bride, Merlin, Doctor Who, 100, and Frozen. 12/2016 Can you believe I finished writting one of my old Chuck stories? Miricals do happen. 3/2016 Hello! I did NaNoWriMo in November in attempt to get myself out of the self-editing loop of death that I've been in for like four years. It was tough, but I wrote every day and by day 30 had reached my 50,000 words. Now, 4 months later my inner editor is still dominating almost to the point of being frozen (ha! a pun!), so I decided I needed to just start posting the thing and I'll edit as I go. I'm up against a deadline in that for the past four months I've built a cosplay that is loosely related to this story and I take it to competition next week. So... that's a thing. Actually, the idea of the cosplay came first. I wanted to build some Elsa armor but couldn't get past the question 'why would someone as powerful as Elsa wear armor or carry a sword?' The answer to the question is the story "The Six Stones of Karabraxos." 1/20/15 So I'm still alive and I've published something. Thank those new years resolutions! 4/1/13 Thanks to the mobile app I'm back reading fanfiction after not reading any for years. Even the last year I was writing, I had really stopped reading. I think about my unfinished stories often (She Watched Him From Her Window, The Knife Thrower and the HP one) and still somewhere in my head I plan to finish them. I've also written a crack fic for Once Upon a Time, but I won't even start to post it until I'm finished with it. I'm disciplining myself that way. Stay tuned. When I first started writing here I defined myself as a soccer mom, that is no longer true as all my kids but one have moved into teenagerdome. Now it's a totally different kind of busy; the kind that doesn't involved dead time. 1/12 I haven't written much but in honor of the end of Chuck, I'm dusting off an unfinished story that's been sitting on my harddrive for awhile. Hopefully I have the sticktoitivness to finish it. I haven't been around the fanfiction scene much, but I haven't forgotten that this place, and Chuck fanfiction had a great impact on my life. 2/11 I got the magazine advanced copy in the mail this week. My children's story has been published! It's been edited (they even changed the tense) and chopped, but it's still fundamentally mine. I even got paid. I guess that means that I'm officially a writer. 8/4/10 I got word a week ago that my magazine short story will be published in March. I got the final edit and they cut another chunk out of it. So what was already a short story is now a super short story - maybe 600 words. I also wrote and submitted a short story for a competition this last month, but didn't win. I'd also like to thank all of you that voted for "Revelations" and "Sarah Verses the Princess Bride" in the Chuck Fanfiction Writing Awards. I didn't win, but as always, it's just a privilege to have been nominated. 11/18/09 The good news is that the small children's magazine I sent my stories to is interested in one of them. Last week I signed over all my rights to the story and they picked it up for "possible publication". Now it's a waiting game to see if they will actually publish it or not. The other story I sent them was out and out rejected. I'm still writing every day but I haven't produced anything publishable on this site yet. Hopefully soon. As for my H.P. story... I hate to abandon it, but for now it's on the back burner. It wasn't received very well and I have other projects that may be more successful. So I apologize to the five regular readers of that story. Oh, and one last hint for anyone taking the time to actually read this. My story was published in the Who Are You Compilation. 10/21 I've written a little one shot for the Who Are You Challenge. I wrote it in an afternoon so it isn't my best work, but at least it is a Chuck fic; I haven't written one of those in awhile. The link is here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5459119/1/The_WHO_ARE_YOU_Compilation I haven't forgotten about my Harry Potter story. Unfortunately it has had very poor readership. The HP fandom is a different kind of place and it has made me appreciate the Chuck fandom and my fellow writers there all the more. For perspective, at this point in Revelations I had over 500 readers per chapter. My HP fic has 30. On a personal point, I've been writing more seriously and have actually submitted some stories to magazines. I went to a writer's conference and I've been reading books about improving my writing. There is so much to learn; you could spend a lifetime writing and still learn new things with each new project. 7/17 I've started publishing my Harry Potter story. I decided to take the old thing out of moth balls and rework it. I was surprised when I first read it after it sitting for a year that it wasn't so bad. In other news, my turn to write my second chapter for the Chuck round robin is coming up! Look for my chapter to be published in about two weeks. 5/13: Breaking news! I'm part of a Round Robin story that was posted today: Chuck vs the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Really Bad Day.
