Set shortly after AoS: Into Darkness, the crew has a couple weeks of shore leave while repairs on the ship are being completed. When Spock's plans are disrupted, he ends up at a farmhouse in Iowa contemplating the nature of friendship, bullies, and the general illogic of humans.

Set directly after the end of 'Journey to Babel'. McCoy continues to take care of Kirk, who's wound is more serious than he initially thought. I am new to Star Trek and this is my first ever story for the show! Time seemed to slow; Jim watched in utter horror at the look on his best friend's face as his fingers twitched ever so slightly. It only took a fraction of a second for the phaser to discharge.

McCoy pulled Jim back to him and tucked the blonde head under his chin. They had been inseparable for years, and the admission from Jim wishing he'd gone down with the ship detonated the realization that he couldn't comprehend a life without him in it anymore.

Kirk struggles with the aftermath of Spock Prime's mind-meld on Delta Vega. Now, limping back home after the fall of the Narada, Kirk is plagued with nightmares and headaches.

Captain Kirk's Enterprise meets ... Captain Pike's Enterprise! Written in the style of the early novelisations of the original Star Trek TV series, this is similar to an original Star Trek story but should also appeal to anyone who likes Star Trek: Discovery.

He tried to recall what had landed him in such sorry shape in sickbay but the memories were threads that kept slipping from his grasp. The harder he pulled, the more they slipped from him.

Spock and Kirk find themselves stranded on a most inhospitable planet. Will they both make it back in one piece? First Star Trek fic, please give it a go, feedback gratefully appreciated.

Jim might be an idiot but even an idiot knew that sparring with someone you may or may not have feelings for is a good idea. What does that make him, then? Inspired by the song "You're the Most" by Rachel Cantu TW: Jim calls himself an idiot and is not exactly kind to himself (but it gets better). Just in case that is something that gets to ya.

He stopped for a while at the access hatch to the warp core and reminisced about how it seemed so long ago that he was closing Jim's eyes and pulling his still warm body from the reactor room. Jim was characteristically reckless and injury prone but it was rare that he had to get so involved.

They should have arrived sooner. It had all added up to a refusal to allow Starfleet to attempt a retrieval of Kirk. Intergalactic incident they had cited, a violation of the Prime Directive. Spock was breaking a dozen Starfleet orders by being here. Spock risk his life and career to rescue Kirk from a mission gone wrong. But can Kirk be saved?

(Inspired by the 1x08 promo) Owen sees the gun pointed at TK. He reacts just like any good father would.

TD;LR: Jim Kirk feels guilty for a first contact mission gone wrong and has a mental breakdown after working himself to death. Spock is there to make sure that he gets through it.

Jim is attacked by a Betazoid in the middle of a quiet bridge shift.

The Enterprise is called away from a research mission to act as representatives of the Federation and sign a trade agreement with the planet Reskar. The welcome quickly turns foul, leaving Kirk and Spock stranded on a hostile planet. Together, they work to stay alive while unraveling what this thing between them truly is, and what they are willing to do about it.

Doctor Leonard McCoy, facing his new assignment aboard the starship Enterprise, is determined to be skeptical about her young captain. But when the circumstances force them into a vulnerable situation, he needs to quickly familiarize himself with a feeling of near constant bewilderment.

The Enterprise is well over a year into its five year mission and its captain and first officer have become easy friends. When Jim reveals that he's gone to the effort of learning Vulcan for Spock's sake, Spock decides he must find a way to show Jim how much he appreciates his friendship, and goes to McCoy for advice. Kirk has had it with the quarrelling ambassadors onboard the Enterprise and he can't wait to get to Babel and throw them off. However, further actions taken by the Orions causes SFC to order the Enterprise to stay in orbit around Babel. How Kirk deals with the Orions will either earn him and his officers a medal or destroy them and plunge Starfleet into chaos.

This is an alternate take on the episode, Patterns of Force, after the trio, Kirk, Spock and McCoy beam back onboard the Enterprise. Jim gets more than he bargained for when he visits sickbay.

And she's screaming, screaming abuse until the hiss of the hypospray hushes her to silence." Something is very wrong on colony Deneb III. And something's wrong with Kirk too.

After responding to a routine distress call, Bones, Uhura, and Spock find themselves separated from the Captain. After being questioned by their captors, however, they begin to suspect that all is not as it seems.

When Kirk's first landing party assignment turns anything but routine, he find himself injured and alone .. and in the middle of a planet's civil war. With Enterprise out of reach, it's up to Spock to keep Kirk alive. As help arrives, Kirk is left needing to solve a mystery and to find the last of his men now left behind.

What Happened between the escape from the blackhole and Kirk's promotion ceremony. Author's Note: So, I wrote this way back in 2009, but I re-vamped it, added stuff, re-wrote parts and in honor of the new movie coming out, I decided to post it.

The 'I used to sing this lullaby to the children I sheltered during a massacre' didn't sound like the right words to say. The room was so quiet a glass clinking against the counter from the back of the room could be heard. "Here goes."

Leo watches Jim die twelve times in one day, and no matter what he does, no matter what he changes, he cannot save him. #2 The Ghost in the Machine series. (Don't have to read #1 to understand story.)

Another peace negotiation gone wayward for Kirk, Spock and Sulu. Stuck on another godforsaken planet with the comms down and all three sporting their own injuries to deal with. What mess will be brought back for Bones to deal with this time?

Once is happenstance, three times is enemy action. Kirk and Spock meet his counterpart again, and nothing is ever the same. K&S, but getting slashy...

The Enterprise is sent on a mission; one that is strikingly similar to Tarsus IV. Trapped on the warring planet, Kirk must struggle through his demons to keep Spock and his landing team safe. Spock has recently found he has feelings for his captain and is determined to stay away. Can he when he sees Jim falling into the memories of his horrid past?

Not all away missions turned out bad. Some were good. Peaceful negotiations on a beautiful planet with natives that joked with the away team and offered their friendship and acceptance into the Federation. Some away missions came and went with no casualties, no emergencies and no panic. Routine and borderline boring... This was not one of those away missions.

"Bones!" She heard Kirk yell as she came around the corner to the transport room. Dr. McCoy stood on the pad with a large bag clutched in tight to his person. Baker slid into the room. Here she could see the transporter, exits and Kirk's anguished face. He must still have drugs in his system, he swayed on his feet. "Where are you going?"

How Kirk Slowly Endears Himself to His Crew by Becoming a Human Punching Bag, Plunging off a 300 Foot Cliff, Getting Crushed by a Giant Ass Pipe, Nearly Getting Blown to Itty Bitty Bits, and Suffocating Because of His Own Medically Inept Body. (Although, not necessarily in that order.) Or five times Kirk puts his crew before himself and one time they return the favor.

His eyes unfocused with raw, unbridled fear stared at the doctor. "Jim?"

It's no secret that Jim Kirk will lay down his life for his crew. But when an alien race holds five of Jim's crew hostage, he has to bargain for their freedom with only himself as collateral. What is he willing to sacrifice to save their lives: life, liberty, or limbs?

[Companion piece to He Must Break (Before He Can Heal)] Reality hits like a fist to leather. Grief takes many forms, and everyone deals with it in their own way. Jim is no different.

Jim hasn't slept for days. When the ship is attacked and he gets a concussion, it's up to Bones to keep him alive and awake until they reach sickbay. Some Kirk/Spock friendship, but mostly Kirk/Bones friendship.

65 hours Since Narada's destruction. The crew are exhausted, Leonard can't help feeling guilty for not supporting his friend during the attack. But in his effort to try and support him he does the opposite. Can he turn it round and offer the comfort that Jim really needs?

A burgeoning discovery of family challenges Jim and his friends won't allow him to work through his pain alone this time. An exploration of the day prior to the five year mission.

Kirk's never really come to terms with the mess of his life before Starfleet, opting instead to ignore it. But when (one of) his childhood monsters reappears his past slams into the present.

Kirk's task is to observe the invasion of Jura. As usual, things don't go quite as planned and it is up to McCoy to keep them alive, on the run. Hurt!Jim in a medieval setting. No slash. COMPLETE!

His voice cracks, and he tells himself it's because he's been speaking for probably days now and he's thirsty and his throat is probably bleeding and Bones will kill him, goddamit, Jim – A tear leaks out of the corner of his eye. "I want to go home." He whispers.

A war, an accident, and survival of the elements as they journey towards safety form the strong bond between Kirk and McCoy. 11 years before the 5-year mission, these two young men were thrown together by fate, and must survive a long trek without phasers, communicators, or other technological means. It was supposed to be a simple mission, but when Spock returns with a four-year-old boy instead of the captain, they know it's not gonna be easy. Bones has to figure out how to fix him while dealing with temper tantrums and giggles. Kid-fic, No Slash.

A routine mission goes bad when Kirk, Spock, and McCoy find themselves crashed on a remote planet, injured, and hidden from the Enterprise. To make matters worse, the planet's inhabitants appreciate neither Starfleet nor unexpected visitors.

This mission was doomed from the very beginning. But there was something much bigger behind it all that no one could see. not slash. a little dark.

AU - Pike survived the attack in STID and is sill commanding officer of the Enterprise. The story sets in after the end of STID. Christopher Pike is visiting his first officer Jim Kirk. Freshly revived form the dead young Jim is struggling to deal with his experiences. Christopher will help him through it like the father the boy never had.

Spoilers for Into Darkness! It was a tradition hundreds of years in the practice, to give the family of the fallen soldier a folded up flag; proof, tangible, physical proof that their loved one's death was not in vain. Jim hadn't told Chris how much he meant to him. Now, he never could.

McCoy is hurt on an away mission. Once he is back on the Enterprise, Kirk refuses to leave Bones' side. Can anyone convince him to leave? I'm terrible at summaries...I can promise you that the story is better!

After being captured on what looked like an abandoned planet, Jim's rescued, wild and animalistic. What was months for the crew was years alone for Jim.

Christopher Pike had a life before he picked James T. Kirk up off the floor of that Riverside bar. Starts before the film and runs up to just after Jim hitches a ride on the shuttle out of Riverside.

NOW COMPLETE. Leonard McCoy thinks he has nothing in common with command-track cadet Jim Kirk, until a series of events forces them together. When a training mission derails into a seemingly hopeless situation, both have to learn to trust each other to survive.

"When they said 'he won't be able to handle it' I don't think they meant me…" Jim is taken from the enterprise only to return a child. As he slowly ages, will the Crew realize that the worse is yet to come? Completed.
