Popular Culture is the lens through which I understand the world.

I was born with an extreme case of Asperger's Syndrome.

In point of fact, I was nonverbal until I was four years old. When I began to speak, I started parroting what I saw on television.

Despite the several years of speech therapy I took, the best remedies I ever got for communication and social cues came from science fiction.

I learned to speak by mimicking the voice inflections of Captain Jean-Luc Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Doc Brown and Marty McFly from Back to the Future.

By the time, I got to high school, I relied on Pierce Brosnan-era James Bond movies and Arnold Schwarzenegger action movies (most notably The Terminator movies).

Whenever I find myself in a situation I don't understand, I subconsciously compare the situation to ones depicted in movies, books, and television.

I started writing Fan Fiction during the COVID-19 epidemic due to the fact that all my usual outlets were shut down.

Honestly, I saw Fan Fiction as a way to channel and share my understanding of the world.

I am very much looking forward to sharing these stories with you all.

This story is the first of a "Delta Canon Series" in which Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard is completely revamped to fit the optimistic norms of Gene Roddenberry's vision. The original show had potential but struggled greatly in the execution of its ideas.
