Author has written 105 stories for Farscape, Star Wars, StarTrek: The Original Series, Star Trek: 2009, Starsky and Hutch, Supernatural, Sherlock, Merlin, NCIS, Man From UNCLE, Hawaii Five-0, Man From U.N.C.L.E., Musketeers, Good Omens, and Versailles. Music and writing are my main creative outlets. I am fascinated by language, by the rhythm and melody of words, the flow of sentence structure translated from thought to page. I love the musicality of story-telling. I write gen fiction. I particularly enjoy exploring "blink and you'll miss them" moments - a passing facial expression, the emotion infused in the delivery of a single word or two, a silent action. I love expanding on the characters and histories of those moments. I am attracted to strong, bonded friendships and love to dive into the nuances of those relationships. I often use tragedy as a means of highlighting core character traits and exploring emotions and interactions. I write fan fiction because I love the challenge of immersing myself in established characters and worlds, and taking them to new places while remaining true to their voices and actions. I am a firm believer in real, honest characterization. I will not write in a fandom where I do not feel that I understand the characters, and I will not write dialogue that I cannot hear in the character's voice. When I get to the point that I am actively writing, my goal is to sit back, get out of the way, and let the characters speak through my hands. I hope I do them credit. I have been blown away by the amazing people I've met through this site. It's been such a pleasure getting to know so many brilliantly talented authors, supportive reviewers, and dedicated readers from all over the world. I have grown so much as an author in my time here and I sincerely thank everyone who has read my work and guided that growth. Whether you write a review, send me a message, favorite or alert a story, or respond to my work silently in your own head or heart...thank you. It's a little scary putting my words out there, but also incredibly liberating and I truly appreciate the community I've found here. I hope you enjoy reading my work as much as I've enjoyed creating it! I can be found on AO3 here: http:///users/stillwaters01/works |
