This site has a virus. It is a malware virus, but it will not damage your system. I know because I have caught the virus twice now (The first time was a couple weeks ago and my antivirus software got rid of it without any remaining problems and I caught it again last night, but my antivirus and antspyware program got rid of it again this morning). The only thing it will do is pretend to be your antivirus program claiming to have found tons of viruses on your machine. It will then say you have to pay to have these viruses removed in an attempt to get your credit card information. If you happen to get the virus, whatever you do, do not give it to them. The name on the program is called 'Win 7 Internet Security 2012' and it is modeled to look like the Windows antivirus and antispyware program. I knew when I first got this virus that it was a virus because I don't use that program. I use Kaspersky, which looks very different, but I don't know what antivirus software other people on the site use, so I wanted to post a warning. Please stay off fanfiction for a while. I don't want anybody else to catch this virus. I am going to write to the admins of the site and let them know that this virus is here so they can work on removing it.

About Me:

I am a member of the United Church of Christ, and very proud of it.

This account used to be shared among three different people. I let two of my friends add stories to my alerts lists and then I’d let them know when an alert from one of their stories came. Sometimes they’d use my account to leave a review on one of the stories they were watching, too. Recently these two friends decided to make accounts of their own and are known on here as gypsy2008 and iris2010. iris2010 is a slash reader (and writer). gypsy2008 is a reader and writer of heterosexual romance stories. I hope you’ll make them feel welcome here.

Notes:

I hope nobody is upset with me for taking off "Like the Starlight." I posted it too soon after initially writing it and removed it when I realized this fact. It was only then that I remembered (HUGE duh on me) that I had deleted the story from my computer and my list of documents, so I can't repost the story. Like I said before, I hope nobody is mad at me for this. It was an honest mistake.

One of my reviewers of "The Donkey's Story" said that donkeys can't reproduce. Whoever it is has donkeys confused with mules, which are a cross between donkeys and horses and THEY can't reproduce. Donkeys CAN.

I have noticed that more than one person, when they have reviewed my story, have done so anonymously and have been nastier than I would have thought necessary. I understand now why people sometimes disable anonymous reviews. I haven't done it myself, but if it continues, I will.

I will sometimes use the titles of songs for the titles of my fanfics. When that is the case, I will post the name of the song/story, the artist or group who performed the song, and the lyrics of the song.

Lyrics of songs whose titles I borrowed for fanfic titles:

When There's Love:

Story appears in: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Artist/Group: Keith Green

Lyrics: Take some time, make a friend of a stranger, / Touch a hand, just reach out, there's no danger. / When there's love mountains move, / The blind can see and things improve. / Don't be afraid to take the lead, / And be the first to plant a seed, / And then just watch it grow, don't you know? / Take some time, tell someone that you love them, / Make them feel there's a rainbow above them. / When there's love storms will cease, / And those in chains will be released. / There's not a thing that love can't do, / But it's got to start with me and you, / And then just watch it grow, don't you know? / When there's love, you can't lose, / You'll always know which road to choose, / There's not one thing that love can't do, / But it's got to start with me and you. / And then just watch it grow, don't you know? / Take some time, make a friend of a stranger, / When there's love touch a hand, / Just reach out, there's no danger. / When there's love, take some time, / Make a friend of a stranger. / When there's love, touch a hand, / Just reach out, there's no danger. / When there's love, take the time, / Make a friend of a stranger.

The Greatest Story Ever Told:

Story appears in: Giver

Artist/Group: 4Him

Lyrics: When I was a child / I heard a great story / Of kingdoms and empires / And prophets of old / Of heroes and martyrs / Who died for their cause / And through every chapter / The story was told / Of redemption and love / Sometimes written in red / Headed right to the heart / Of every woman and man / And down through the ages / Again and again / It's the greatest story ever told / Straight from the pages / From beginning to end / It's the greatest story ever told / Wise could never begin to explain / The measure of grace / This wonderous book holds / It's more than a fable / Or and old fairy tale / It's the greatest, greatest story ever told / For thousands of years / This pearl of great wisdom / Has weathered through changes / And lasted through wars / Many a doubter / Has risen and fallen / Built the story had never once / Abandoned it's course / For the author still speaks / To the listening one / Through the voices of men / And through the pages / The pages of love / And down through the ages / Again and again / It's the greatest story ever told / Straight from the pages / From beginning to end / It's the greatest story ever told / Wise could never begin to explain / The measure of grace / This wonderous book holds / It's more than a fable / Or and old fairy tale / It's the greatest, greatest story ever told / This world that we live in could never contain / The wealth of compassion / This wondrous book holds / It's more than a fable or an old fairy tale / It's the greatest, greatest story ever told.

Come Children:

Story appears in: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Artist/Group: Christafari

Lyrics: Was there a time that you could cry / And never try your tears to hide? / Was there a place where you could go / Where secrets live and feelings show? / For as we grow and childhood fades / We build our walls we complicate / While somewhere deep inside cries that lonely child / / Well come God's children say God wants you to come / Come let us rest in our Fathers arms. / Well come God's children say God wants you to come / Because God's love, I say it will never end. / Did you ever fall asleep in your Fathers arms / Come, come, come, come children / So calm a heart so full and free from harm? / Come, come, come, come children / Come now once again we return again to that quiet place / Come, come, come, come children / Set free just to live again in His sweet embrace / Come, come, come. / / So many on their quests for peace / A shelter where their hearts can rest / Still held by chains built up from pain / Could never trust enough to love again / So let Jah love come enter in / And in time you will begin to find and to love as the child deep with in your soul. / / Well come God's children say God wants you to come / Come let us rest in our Fathers arms.

Some of my favorite quotes:

Change the words, don't change the meaning;
Change the hands, don't change the healing;
Change the tune, don't change the feeling;
Change the heart, don't change the needing;
--Maire Brennan; Whisper to the Wild Water

My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself
and the fact that I think that I am following your will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you
does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this
you will lead me by the right road
though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always
though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear, for you are ever with me
and you will never leave me
to face my perils alone.
--Thomas Merton; Thoughts in Solitude
