![]() Author has written 17 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Chronicles of Narnia, and Legend of Korra. 7/5/2022: Update: I will be taking another break from fanfiction. LOL. To those of you who actually enjoy what I write. Sorry. But fortunately, those people are few in number so it won't be too many who are affected. My biggest problem is my ego. I'll just say it outright. I always, always, always, think about my popularity and reception and numbers more than about actually writing the stories and enjoying them. And I whine. A lot. I do not think I can or will change, and I get that this sort of thing is very wearing on people. So to everyone who's forced to tolerate it, I'm sorry. My second biggest problem is my time management. I procrastinate on everything. It's a bit sad, really, how much I delay doing things. Most of my fanfiction is just published without a glance over it, let alone any needed edits or revisions. So a lot of it is raw and crudely thought out. There are/will be exceptions, but the bad stuff overruns the good. It follows without mention that I am also terrifically lazy. My third biggest problem is just my lack of talent/potential which compounds with problem number two. Go figure. I will not lie. This is not a break to have a break to relax and reflect on myself. The primary purpose of this hiatus is to finish that damn book that my stupid brain idolizes on a pedestal. It is probably the best thing I will ever create, and I am proud of it. Once I am finished with it, and finally receive that final, brutal slap of reality that I need, I will come back here, and although I won't promise any reduction in whining, hopefully I will be a bit more subdued. With that, adieu. There are lots of amazing writers out there. I'm glad you spent the time to pop in, and I hope you guys have wonderful times. Bio Real Name: Age: Guess it by my maturity level, then add like maybe 5 - 10 years to that estimate :( Pet Peeve: Authors making up names for fanfic characters without considering the context, e.g: Naming someone Betty in a world modeled after Asia. Favorite Thing to Do: Sleep (big surprise) SECOND Favorite Thing to Do: Imagine Third Favorite Thing to Do: What's this site for again? Summary: Introverted, STEM-oriented person. Very terrible at keeping promises and being responsible (aka don't expect frequent or regular updates on stories... sorry) Has overactive imagination. Plays viola and violin. Loves ATLA, thinks TLOK is meh, and is diehard Kataang. Zutarians... tolerated. Please don't murder the author. After years of writing, the author can report that more improvement has been seen in the likeability of female mosquitos than in their writing. Have I mentioned Kataang to death? I'm not against great Zutarian writers though. The stuff makes me squirm, and I am firmly Kataang, but I have an even firmer belief in judging everyone's writing as impartially as I can. My current projects are: Katara Brainwashed Remastered and The Burned Prince and the Frozen Avatar. One is a Kataang story of Katara getting brainwashed (being rewritten and revamped) while the other one is an AU of Coming Together by... Cherry Berry? Sherry? i cant keep us with this... I'm sorry, BaSingTei, I'm a horrible person for not knowing your current name and for stealing your fanfic without permission... you all can kick me out now. The Burned Prince and the Frozen Avatar is an AU prequel to Coming Together. It's mainly just a cheap storyline borrow from the actual series of ATLA. I also plan on making a real AU where Aang and Katara get together. I want to make it more fiery and aangsty. Get it? Aang? Angst? Please don't steal Sokka's club and chase me with it. Then there's The Horrors of an Impromptu Journey, an AU shelved to the side while I work on my current stuff. It was meant to try to capture more of the logistics of Mary Sue mishaps than typical Mary Sue stories. I had high hopes for Roku Memorial Preparatory Academy. I still somewhat do. But as I age and lose my mental acuity, the material I had in mind to create an academical atmosphere around a High School AU dwindles away. Publishing chapters is highly irregular, anywhere from several days apart to months of wait. Frequency of posting increases in summer. Hopefully. Please do me a favor and DON'T read My Sequel to Avatar: the Last Airbender. The potential arc I liked at the time, but the writing... for your sanity and mine, don't read it. Except maybe the first chapter, if even that. Once I get back to it and rewrite everything to my satisfaction (considering my snail's pace at churning out chapters... not likely). I'll take these few sentences off. You know what, I don't think I'll ever get back to it. Basic thing: Kalana: Mary Sue with traumatic past whose radical actions against any threats that remind her of her past lead to devastating ramifications. Most notable deviation from TLoK would have been restructuring of history of the world of Avatar (waaay too many holes in TLoK's "origin story") Earth: premise - baby is born, proclaimed as Avatar by earth sages. Everyone celebrates until someone from the crowd rushes up to the baby and kills them. At that moment, the assassinator's wife gives birth to a Fire: Nation ethnicity boy, who happens to cry and sneeze smoke. The world is heavily divided into bend-and-no-bend factions, and the new Avatar must find a way to preserve benders and bending without ostracizing nonbenders or getting himself killed a second time. Air: The world has become extremely advanced, and the now obsolete Avatar must undertake a journey to discover themselves and their meaning in the world. If anyone willing wants to steal this idea, go for it. Just remember to credit me somewhere or mention that this is an offshoot of my thing so that I can easily follow. If anyoen even wants to take the shoddy fanfiction up again... ha Update: over two years later, and I'm still not finished with The Burned Prince and The Frozen Avatar. yikes.
