Author has written 5 stories for Inuyasha, and Horizon Zero Dawn. My name is Shannon, and I'm from Riverside, CA. I'm currently an MBA student, but also an airplane pilot. I used to write Inuyasha fanfiction ages ago, because of my love for writing, but I've since let it fall by the way side. I'm back again, if only to finish one last story. Favorite Mangas: Blame! Favorite Animes: Samurai Champloo, One Punch Man, Inuyasha, Naruto, Darker Than BLACK Fair Warning: Much of my older work is very overwritten. As a new writer, I did a lot of experimenting with description and sentence structure, which can make some of it tough to read. Some people like it and some don't. More recent work is better paced and less awkward, but I'd say all the stories are worth a shot. Stories Seven Feudal Fairy Tales An action-adventure comedy with a romantic twist A high energy teenage girl from the future and a 500-year-old taciturn inuyoukai are sucked into a world of fairytales where they have to play the roles of heroes and legends in order to get back home. My first attempt at writing and what a beloved monster it turned out to be. Themes revolve around lessons/morals as both Kagome and Sesshoumaru grow as characters by dealing with their own individual flaws. And of course, storytellign itself is an important theme. The story really comes into its own during the third arc. Devour Prometheus A horror/psychological thriller that delves into the sinister natures of humans and youkai, and how their actions affect both peoples. Searching for a missing Inuyasha, Kagome encounters a wounded Sesshoumaru and a clan of masked warriors whose altruistic mission may bring the end of youkaikind as they fight to preserve humanity. I make no excuses for this story. It is dark. It is disturbing. Characters will do things that push the limits of not only their bodies, but what they believe in. True horror is a bit rare in this fandom. I wanted to write something that is not only horrifying and riveting, but deeply psychological as well. I don't expect this story to be very many readers' cup of tea, but if you enjoy suspense and gore, it may very well be worth your time. Revisions Complete in 2020. Cut about 6,500 words, nearly 20% of the original length. Reads much smoother. One Action-adventure meets slice of life in a story about unity and heroism. Released from the ancient seal that saved his life, Sesshoumaru wakes up to the end of his kind, and a future that leaves him lost and out of place. Under the guidance of the Higurashi family, he soon realizes that even though he may be the last youkai, that doesn't mean that he's alone. I wanted to do a present day story with Sesshoumaru this time around. He's such a fascinating character, and the appeal of dumping him into the future is almost irresistible. What would he do? Why he'd become a superhero. What else? Revisions/Updates Finished revising the first ten chapters, which involved improving flow, simplifying POV, and the removal of one scene. No other revisions planned at the moment. Updates will be weekly. Sesshoumaru's Bad Fluff Day A short story of epic comedic proportions Bad days happen to everyone and when a foreboding feeling finds the usually practical Sesshoumaru early one innocent morning, he knows it's his turn. Will he and his loyal followers, Jaken and Rin, be able to survive what can only be termed as a "Bad Fluff Day"? Updates Probably never going to be updated again, but still a fun read. Your enjoyment and encouragement are what made the hours of thought and writing worth it. I would also like to thank everyone who gave Devour Prometheus a chance. It was a very dark story to write and I imagine just as dark to read. |
