Burble: … why, gidday! – how nice to see you here; if you're reading this then you've probably stumbled on the wrong link.
Absolutely no worries however - pleased to have you! …although it's not that interesting. Perhaps I can throw in a few colourful explosions? No? Anyway, have a look about, pull up that chair, and make yourself at home.
Occupation? Ahhh, the flightiness of youth, stumbling from A to B via Z. Basically I have been an ex-soldier, an ex-shepherd, but now (through a puzzling series of events) am a full-time varsity student. I’m not sure how that career progression goes, but it seemed natural at the time.
Age? Less than twenty-five but old enough to drive; let’s leave it there.
Looks? Well, what do you expect a Kiwi (the nationality, not the fruit!) to look like? Thin as a whippet, short brown hair, with a smile like someone has jammed a watermelon into my mouth sideways. What can I say? I like to smile, and if you're going to do something, you might as well do it properly.
Tastes in Fanfiction? Now we’re getting somewhere! I’m a huge fan of all sorts of fluffy magical-girl Anime. Don’t laugh – I've also got a big tough reputation to maintain. I always say when you’re as manly as me then you can laugh at my girly taste.
Mai-Hime, Sailor Moon, Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha (I love the three seasons of that show!), CardCaptor Sakura… you get the picture.
'shipping preferances? I don't really mind any of the different 'ships in the fandoms; certainly not enough to get involved in the ship-to-ship combat occasionally seen. Although, having said that, I am generally a fan of canon. (I just figure the author knows their characters better than I do, yes?) Sometimes, however, you kinda get the impression the author is pointing, waggling eyebrows suggestively, nudging you, and winking in a particular direction. (Konoka and Setsuna for instance - they're just awesome.)
Hobbies? I’m a voracious reader – mostly of science-fiction, but I read more non-fiction books in a few weeks than most people will in a year. ((Perhaps not as many as you do, as you are clearly reading fanfiction, but most people aren't us, yes?)) I’m sweatdropping right now as I realise the only things insulating my flat from the New Zealand winter are the teetering piles of books. This is why I now read vast amounts of fanfiction; because my book buying habits became anti-food. I was spending so much money on books that there was no way I could afford food.
I also enjoy practicing my martial arts (actually using them in real life sucks), my studies of history, my violin, and the great outdoors. All these hobbies are even better when they’re all going at once.
Anyway, I’m a big fan of boredom - I am not an interesting person and I hope to remain in this blissful state. Ex-soldier, remember? Interesting means something went wrong.
Oh! Oh! Before we go any further... you see that little button up there? The one that says 'message'? I'm dead keen on hearing what folks think about... well, everything/anything really (the New Zealand hinterland isn't exactly teeming with new people)… so if you've got a wee bit of time please drop me a line. I’m not scary, promise! I don’t bite!
