I'm issuing a challenge. I've seen fics and am I'm working on something like this but I want to see how creative people get. The challenge is simply Minato survives. Basically, The Konoha Nin find some way to defeat the Kyuubi without using Shiki Fuuin. Here are the requirements:

1. Naruto must be left at the Hospital.

2. Kakashi has to help.

3. Pain must somehow use Madara with his Kekkei Genkai. Whether its simply to restore his own Chakra or he becomes one of Pain's bodies is up to you.

4. If a character appeared in the manga, whether it be a flashback or otherwise and a name was revealed, use that name.

5. Minato must give his title of Hokage to Sarutobi and take another Genin team.

6. Itachi has to kill his father, but Sasuke cannot see Itachi at all.

7. Sasuke must hate Fugaku.

8. Sasuke must kill Danzou before the time skip.

Optional:

1. Kakashi having the Mangekyo.

2. Tsunade staying in the village.

3. Kushina surviving.

4. Minato taking Naruto out of the village for training. This also serves the purpose of having Naruto grow up away from fans.

5. If Naruto leaves, he must return at the beginning of an Academy year.

1. Americans either born or immigrated at 5 or younger who don't know how to spell for beans. Except for very rare cases, that's not inability, that's laziness.

3. The whole "Columbus proves the world is round" myth. That was proven 2000 years BEFORE Columbus was born.

A lot of people who have read the Harry Potter books seem to think that Dumbledore is this person who wants Harry out of the picture to get at his money, or that he wants to train Harry as a martyr. That can't be further from the truth! Dumbledore has always wanted Harry to live. He was looking for how Voldemort survived, for 11 years, though he was suspicious. He revealed in book six that when Harry brought the diary to him and explained what it did, that Dumbledore finally figured out that Voldemort made Horcruxes.

It was also during this summer that Dumbledore had the suspicion that Harry was a Horcrux. He had devised a once in a lifetime shot for Harry to have the Horcrux removed and survive. Voldemort always wanted to kill Harry, so Harry would have to let him. But he didn't tell Harry this because he was trying to protect him.

Also, people complain that Dumbledore didn't teach Harry any fighting spells, resorting to learning about Voldemort's history and how he made Horcruxes. Well, of course he would do that! Dumbledore was dying! He didn't have the time to teach Harry spells, teach him about Voldemort's Horcruxes, and go looking for hints as to where Voldemort hid them at the same time! He only had a year to teach Harry all he could while also looking for Horcruxes and preparing for his death.

Another thing I want to bring up is the idea that Ron and Hermione are either spying on Harry of their own free will, or were imperiused to do so. That is so utterly stupid it isn't even funny! Ron can't spy on anyone to save his life and Hermione would suspect something was up if an authority figure wanted her to spy on a student. Then there's the Imperiusing. Dumbledore would never use an Unforgivable Curse.

Another thing some "fans" like to do is make someone give Harry a love potion set to Ginny, and give one to Hermione set to Ron. Now, besides the fact that love potions are tricky to make, when the Golden Trio go Horcrux Hunting, there is no one who could brew the love potions needed. They would wear off and Ron would be deserted.

Guys, a lot of Harry Potter fans seem to ignore Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows when it comes to the protections around Privet Drive. Because there, the magic of those protections is VERY neutral and rather malignant. See, the protections around Privet Drive will continue to function even if Harry is miserable, and even after he starts seeing Hogwarts as his home and Privet Drive as a prison, which he starts doing as early as second year. No, they will continue to function so long as Harry is allowed houseroom, even as a slave. It is either when Harry turns 17, or when Harry leaves Privet Drive with the full understanding that he is never coming back that the protections will fail, and they will fail as soon as he leaves the property line.
