I'm an avid reader with a taste for quality, but a deplorable tendency to give very short (and delayed) reviews.

My own imagination usually only goes so far as to give "life" (image and sound) to the written word of others; this at least works really well, and I love reading more than watching anything. Sometimes I will even "get into" a topic via fanfic before I see the film or series it is based on, granted the fanfic is well written enough (it was my case with Inuyasha, Ironman, and Inception).

My favorite universes include: Beauty and the Beast (TV 1987), Star Trek, Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, the MCU (including some of the TV shows)...

I'm a Frenchwoman living in France, but most of the time I will read in English for pleasure. Only sometimes in German, and even once in a while in French when I'm starved for material or wish to acknowledge and encourage the commendable efforts of my "language-mates".
(Regarding grammar and spelling: as a second- or third-language reader I usually don't feel entitled to scold the authors for low standards in this field, but I will probably stop reading, unless the plot bunnies are true geniuses!).

As much as I wish I did, like some brilliant friends of mine, I don't usually manage to write, not even in my native language. Maybe one short page every few years: anti-eclipses, I suppose. However, I've finally broken my self-imposed "stasis spell" and actually posted two tiny breadcrumbs. Shallow fluff, all of it. Ah well, YOLO, and I'm no spring chicken.
