Author has written 21 stories for Phantom of the Opera, and Wandavision. Hi everyone! Welcome to my profile! Please call me Enigma for short. I am part of the Phantom of the Opera "phandom" which will be the bulk of what I post for. My other writing account is over on Phantom of the Opera Amino, as Enigma. I have been in love with I've been a writer for around 5 years now and I'm open to constructive criticism; I am always happy to learn how to improve as an author. (My profile picture is my own photography) My Writing Styles of Phantom I can style my Erik on Merik (Musical Erik), or Leroux Erik but can often make a combo of two, using characteristics from one Erik or more. Of course all have my unique flare, because, after all, it is my writing! Aspects like Leroux Erik's amber eyes, magic and ventriloquism ect. are used often, along with Susan Kay's background when needed. My Erik generally goes towards more Merik personality and deformity wise. In my modern AUs, it is more likely to be Merik as well, though occasionally it can be Leroux based! Which Phantom in which pieces - a Guide - in Chronological Order (top - newest, bottom - oldest) My modern oneshot 'Kisses and Arguments' includes a ALW inspired Erik. My 'Tale of Woe Poetry' is down to interpretation. My 'Fictional Reality Poetry' is more likely ALW but down to your preference. My modern AU Journal Entry 'We are a Normal Couple' includes an Andrew Lloyd Webber(ALW) inspired Erik. My modern AU 'Falling Petals' includes a Leroux inspired Erik. My modern oneshot 'Serenaded Rose' includes a Leroux inspired Erik. My monologue-sque 'The Kiss' of Raoul's view is ALW inspired. My 'Quiet Symphony' poetry is down to interpretation. Styles of Christine My Christine is hard to define on version, note that however I am more ALW's Musical based and my Christine does usually have brown curls. She can change depending on circumstance, her version she is inspired on and what the version her Erik counterpart is inspired on; this can mean very different Christines can emerge! I love to experiment. Ships? I am an E/C shipper myself, so that is what you'll be seeing here mostly! Time/Period for my stories? Some drabbles and short monologue-sque pieces are in the time period set around the musical/book. Most often are modern. I have been inspired a lot by so many phanfiction writers on here, namely VeroniqueClaire for her amazing interpretation of a modern Erik and several others for my more Leroux-y inspired pieces. Pieces/Stories I am generally a 'oneshot' writer. They can be read individually, but some can be considered as part of the same AU, but it can change! For those who like it being cohesive will be able to see hidden ideas that have been introduced in other oneshots, however if you pick one at random, it doesn't mean you'd be out of the loop either. My Monologues/drabbles are generally shorter pieces that often pivot from Christine being the protagonist and narrator, but often includes Erik. The Interesting Stuff (I Hope) Myself My writing consists of the English lexicon - along with the proper English spellings - to avoid any confusion when reading my prose. My favourite hobbies includes drinking sweet milky coffee, reading about my favourite characters (whether it be fanfiction or canon), avoiding schoolwork and wearing fluffy socks. Not to mention snuggling with my rescue dog and five cats, while watching my current TV series. My double life as a fanfiction writer is also rather consuming. Book preferences consist of the genres of: adventure, romance (Is A Must), fantasy, a healthy dose of suspense and maybe the occasional thriller. Horror is a no-go, for I am a sensitive soul. I would call the Phantom of the Opera a masterpiece - lest us not forget the original tale that started it all - for giving us the OG Erik (ha ha), but I have many many favourites. To name a few, The Magician's Apprentice by Trudi Canavan (my favourite series of all time), A Scent of Magic by Maria V.Snyder, The Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan, Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan, The Named (series) by Marian Curley, Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy ectera ectera ectera. I am a musical lover also, though I do class Phantom in a category all by itself. I have seen quite a few be it movie or live, namely: My Fair Lady, Evita, Chicago, King and I, Lion King, Aladdin, Mamma Mia, Fiddler on the Roof (seen that twice), Wicked, Sound of Music, Love Never Dies, Les Miserables, Hairspray, Grease, Heathers, Oliver (I was able to perform in it once!) and Blood Brothers. It was my first Phantom-versary' on the 8th August, as in I saw it in 2019 live on that day! My Phantom was Tim Howar and Christine was played by Kelly Mathieson. Naturally, they are who I prefer listening to, but if I don't have connection to Youtube, I listen to Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman's recording. My... My Myers Briggs Type is: INFJ :) My favourite subjects are: English, Art and Photography and you can interest me with history too (providing it's a topic I'm interested in) My favoured Disney film: Beauty and the Beast - hm not at all surprising, right? My favourite animal is:...Well I love nearly all animals! But I especially love: cats, dogs, bats, hedgehogs, bees and butterflies. My favourite flower(s): Cherry Blossom and Roses My favourite part of the day is: Nightime/Evening My favourite beverage: UHM...Coffee...and coca cola. (CAFFINEEEEEEE) My favourite food: Chocolate, sweet popcorn...and basically unhealthy things XD If I am able to have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, I think I would have Gaston Leroux, Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelley along with her husband Percy Bysshe Shelley, William Blake, Lord Byron, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Alfred Lord Tennyson, the Bronte sisters, Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa and of course all the Eriks. (Not just men called Erik but the Phantoms of the Opera ;P) I'd have to install a no weapon's and violence policy, but I'd think it'd be fun. Or at least, rather interesting.
Feedback I absolutely love, love, love reviews!!! It truly makes my night! (ha ha, that is not sarcasm unlike it's original intent). If you at all review, I so appreciate you spending the time to let me know! It only encourages when it's kind and helpful. I endeavour to reply to your feedback with an enthusiastic thank you hehe! If you feel the need to flame my work, I sincerely hope that you do not. If in some way my writing is not to your standard, or how you would like to read it, please know that there are plenty of fics in the sea. I would never make anyone read my writing if it upsets them to some degree. If you have constructive feedback, please do tell me. Most writers are sensitive beings and rather steer clear about negativity/toxicity. I am similar, so please bear this in mind when coming to write a "negative" response. I am looking for a beta, so the odd grammar mistake is probably likely, though I do spend a great deal of editing and checking my writing for it to be the best it possibly can be. I am a native English speaker, so I do have an advantage thankfully. But yeah, that's a wrap people. Thanks for taking time to read this and for stopping by, Enigma :) |
