I am an aging (old by young standards), disabled man who had been reading Harry Potter fan fiction for years and have read some fantastic stories here. I really enjoyed writing in high school and am thinking of trying my hand (and mind) here. However, I do believe that some writers should focus on spelling and making their stories comprehensible (easily allowing the reader to understand the meaning of a passage or line) I will allow that some of these problems arise from stories translated from languages other than English. This could be achieved by using a capable beta, or just using a grammar and spell checker.

My favorite 'ships' would have to be Harry/Hermione, Harry/Luna and Harry/Daphne. I really don't see how the Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny could work, no matter how JKR wrote the epilogue. Ron and Hermione would never work with her being so driven and Ron being so lazy, while having nothing whatsoever in common and fighting all the time. As for Harry and Ginny, it seems as though Harry may have an oedipal complex.

Update: I have decided to get back into writing after some 30 odd years. My first fanfiction ever involves Harry meeting Mavis Dracula, let me know what you think so far...

Another Update:First of all I must apologize to all that have reviewed and favorited my story. As often happens life has interfered with plans to continue at this time. Between family and health, I have been unable to concentrate on the story. As such, the thread of the story has become muddled. I hope to get back to it soon with a clear direction. I'd like to thank you for your patience, and be assured that this story hasn't been abandoned.
