A note to my readers:
First and foremost, you deserve an apology. An explanation also, and we'll come to that, but first I would like to apologise to any of you who read my work, supported me in writing, left reviews, or even just made the hit-counter go up. I appreciate all of you so much and I know it's not reflected in my update reliability. If any of you are still around, still waiting, you deserve an even bigger apology because this account is undergoing a serious spring clean, and most of my work below may not survive the cut.
Here's where the explanation comes in.
I have been battling clinical depression for 8 years and counting. Medication helps, but it also suppresses my desire and my ability to concentrate long enough to write anything. Counselling has helped in that regard, but there is only so much talking about things can do to heal them. My mind is broken and while I'm slowly picking up the pieces, there have been things that fall by the wayside. Fanfiction being one of them. It used to be an escape but I put so much pressure on myself to write more, be more, be better, that it stopped being a relief and started to feel like a job. So, to spare myself the anguish, I stopped writing. I deleted everything on my hard-drive. I avoided this site. I stopped reading. It's only been recently that I've found myself able to return to the things that used to make me feel better, and find that they are actually doing that again.
So. In short, I am back on the site and in the community. I will be posting again in the future, but in the meantime much of my work is coming down for a revamp. I hope to make a proper return to the writing side of FFN sooner rather than later.
"What I try to do is write. I may write for two weeks ‘the cat sat on the mat, that is that, not a rat.’ And it might be just the most boring and awful stuff. But I try. When I’m writing, I write. And then it’s as if the muse is convinced that I’m serious and says, 'Okay. Okay. I’ll come.'" - Maya Angelou.

22 years old, born on Friday. Dog owner. Owned by a cat. Cohabiting with a bird. Known locally as the "quirky bird with a wonky eye". I sleep more than I should, and spend far too much time on the internet. For all the time I spend online, I put in a heinous lack of effort when it comes to updating any type of social media. I never finish anything quickly and I always edit things 10 times before I'm happy. New stories will be few and far between, but updates will be weekly. Probably Fridays, because TGIF, amiright? My resolution this New Year was to finish things before I post them so I can stick to a schedule. I sometimes think I'm clever, and sometimes pretend to be funny, but mostly I am a lonely internet nerd who craves uninvited social contact and will probably smile stupidly for an hour after every message.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
