Entering GB's lair and primary HQ
Greetings, I am Glorious Burden; I named myself after one of my favorite albums by Iced Earth. Formerly called Framing Armageddon. I now think this title fits my view on life and many things.
Go further below for a little info about me.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This is something that concerns me as one of my earliest stories has been removed and I fear my other stories will be removed. Lemme put it at this so that everyone would notice for all my stories: IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE STORY OR ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH IT, DON'T READ IT. This site is meant for us fanfic writers to write our creativity, share our creativity/stories and put our imagination into words so that the readers can enjoy it. Does anyone remember the "UNLEASH YOUR IMAGINATION" tagline? Always remember that, but if you don't like the story, don't read it, it's not that difficult. We fanfic writers are meant to create what stories we want to make and share.
Secondary Notice: Be aware of some cyber bullies around FF falsely flagging stories and flaming them just for their fun in an effort to delete stories just because they don't like it, don't like the writing of the author, that they think their works are immature, or whatever reason that are just lame, pointless, stupid, and biased. DO NOT LET THEM HAVE THEIR WAY. I'm only putting this up as a precaution. Until I know this threat has been lifted, I can then remove this notification.
Also all of you should be aware this is a place where we are able to be creative and imaginative on things we are a fan of, which is why this is fanfiction. This is our freedom of expression and creativity. So allow us to write lemons as there are those who like to read lemons.
Remember this site's tagline, "unleash your imagination", its not "limit your imagination". So if you're uncomfortable of reading a story, then simply don't read it and turn away. You're not force to read it. I hope all of you are aware of this and pls don't become hypocrites; again I say this is a place where we can be creative.
Allow us to write stories of what we make, what we want to write, ok?
A little update: just in case my stories get removed, I now have an account on Adult Fanfiction with the same pen name as I have, but with an underscore, although I rarely updated anything there. You can now read my Highschool DxD fic there and hopefully you get to review there. I'm doing this to notify to you, my fellow readers.
I admit that my stories are mainly lemon stories because there are things that I manage to be good at and I'm not really good at writing other stories. Some may consider this to be stale and predictable of me, but this is what I can mainly do and I don't want to do another story that I would end up messing it, have terrible writings and disappoint others. Therefore I rather write what I want to write and what I'm good at (unless you may be willing to help me write something, which is something action and military-oriented as I like that). I certainly do wish I can write other stories but I don't seem to be confident about it and I have my own stories about it, though I feel some may not get my stories or get the concept. Yeah, I wish I can write to the likes of Tom Clancy, but it was not to be. At least I admit what I can and can't do.
(BTW, if there's something wrong with my image icon, let me know! I don't own it. Just making sure here.)
Let's get one thing before you read my stories or to proceed further: I DO NOT ACCEPT FLAMES!! And don't say anything that may turn readers off, got it? It's kinda harsh ya know. So please, keep it to yourselves! Besides, I think flames are pointless; it won't deter me from creating my fics nor it will change my story.
Piece of advice:
My stories may seem kinda lame to some of you, but that's how I am. I am very imaginative, so my ideas are kind of like maybe wierd, but still it's worth checking out, because I want to put something that most people did not create, know or understand. (Check the info about me below)
Despite me living in the Philippines, I mostly speak and write in English. I'm self-taught in English when I was young I think.
To know me:
To be clear, I don't call myself an otaku, instead just being an anime fan or aficionado. From what I see, otakus are often associated with just staying reclusive at home, lack of confidence and lost in your fantasies; there's a difference between escapism and delusion. If you research what otaku really is in Japan's view, you'd understand why I chose to discard that claim because I am not like them.
This is just me, but I'm not like any otakus who take in a "waifu", or in proper term, a "Dutch wife". As I said, I don't believe in fantasy relationships. Therefore I do not have an anime Dutch wife and I will never take one.
As an escapist, I have infinite fantasies which mainly has connections to my interests like anime and lots of stuff, and those things go the way I desire them to be. I can be someone else that I could not be, have somethings that I could never have, do things I could never do, be in situations that goes the way I want it to be and so on.
I love Heavy Metal; I listen to them almost everyday. There is so much energy and power than all other music; a lot of songs are meaningful. I also took a liking to listening to majestic symphonic music (especially from Two Steps From Hell, Antti Martikainen, Peter Crowley and more to come). I also grew to like J-pop music because they are talented, creative, meaningful, imaginative and well-coordinated, well-executed performances accompanied by very talented, pretty and appealing performers, all these than what the mainstream music has. So in my opinion, J-pop is significantly better than the mainstream music. More importantly I'm sick of the mainstream music industry. All they want are radio-friendly, flavor-of-the-month music so they can get money, get attention or being on top of the charts. The value and artistry of music should be more essential than popularity, the charts, the money or the attention. Quality, talent, musicianship, effort and substance matters because that is the artistry of it.
When it comes to me, when I watch anime I ALWAYS want it English dubbed because when its subbed, you're focused more on the subtitles than the show itself even if you manage to see the whole screen. So that's that. I don't like of these sub weeaboo elitists who keep on being rude to the dubs when they've never heard one or only and hastily judge everything from a trailer or clip or one episode, without giving time to get adjusted to it. These sub elitist weaboos are the bane of the anime society. I'm not forcing anyone to like dubs, but at least understand that dubbed in English, a language we know, doesn't automatically mean it's gonna be terrible. Subs or dubs is a matter of personal preference, not which one is superior. Both Japanese and English voices are good in their way. I like both subs and dubs, though I prefer dubs because I won't be distracted by the subtitles and I like to hear the English voices. To those who prefers subs, I respect your choice, but respect those who likes to see animes English dubbed. I wish you could throw away this elitist weeaboo attitude.
Another important trait about me is that, unlike many other otakus, I do not take in a "waifu" or what I will call henceforth are "imaginary wives", or in proper term, a "Dutch wife". Be it anime character or J-idol, I do not think or delude myself into thinking I'm in a fantasy relationship with them. I hope these people don't delude themselves into thinking they're in a relationship with these characters to the point it becomes a cringe fest. In my opinion, instead why not put yourself in the shoes of that lucky male protagonist? Be like an actor, putting yourself into his shoes and there you have it, become someone else. That's what escapism is, and not deluding yourself of these things. Seriously and in all my personal honesty and personal opinion, those taking in a "Dutch wife" both annoys and concerns me. I may like a girl, I can portray or imagine myself as one of the lucky guys there being that girl or those girls (this is part of my escapism, for me to be someone else different from myself - although I can add some things to make that guy better - to put myself in the shoes of someone else, sort of like an actor), but I would never think I'm with those anime girls, therefore I would never have a Dutch wife. I'm not intending to really ruin your fun, however I hope you can understand something and not be deluded or be obsessed too much.
I have been visiting this site a lot to view a lot of fics. Few years later, I finally felt inspired and confident enough to make stories of my own, as these stuff have been in my mind for a very long time. I like reading lemons of my favorite couples (I wish there were more, especially for my fav. couples that were not made yet) because I think that kind of thing should be done because, I want to see them do it because they haven't done this.
Let it be known that I don't like or not interested in the same sex relationships i.e. yuri/yaoi because having relationship with the same gender just isn't right; I cringe at the very thought of it. I have nothing against those who like it though, just don't get me involved in it. It can get tiring about how much these yuri fanboys and yaoi fangirls tend to do a lot of these; is the romance of a guy and girl/girls not that appealing anymore?

So eat, drink & be merry); Life is sometimes s#; Don't give up or give in, remain true to your cause and never bow down or submit to anyone.
My crossover ideas (ones I've come up with and/or hoping to see if it goes how I want it to be. Keep in mind I'm not actually making stories of these, just something I imagine, what I thought of):
Gundam SEED/Destiny - Infinite Stratos, Zoids Genesis, Galaxy Angel
Infinite Stratos - several FPS & action-shooting/military games as they become elite commandos & operatives, plus having all high-tech weapons & gear from those games, Galaxy Angel visual novel, Lyrical Nanoha
Highschool DxD - Omamori Himari, Heaven's Lost Property, Date A Live
Negima & Campione - God Of War (Negi, Godou & their girls fight on in this unique adventure)
Dog Days - Majikoi Oh Samurai Girls with added cast of Sword Art Online, Deltora Quest, Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Lord Marksman & Vanadis
God Of War - Dog Days, Majikoi Oh Samurai Girls, Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Sword Art Online, Deltora Quest, Lunar Silver Star Story, Sacred Blacksmith, Magic Knight Rayearth (they go in the adventures in God Of War, so it's like one hell of an RPG on steroids)
Inuyasha - God Of War (Inuyasha & friends involved in this unique adventure)
Lunar Silver Star Harmony - Tsubasa Chronicles
Sword Art Online, Lord Marksman & Vanadis, In Another World with my Smartphone, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicles, Bladedance of Elementalers, Unlimited Fafnir, Danmachi
As ridiculous it all may sound, but it's kinda cool and unique. However I got other crossover ideas that I'm kinda embarrassed to put down and you may think its weird and all, but its my choice.
I have created my own imaginary anime metal band called Ferrum Maiestas (Latin for Iron Majesty, I think no other band are called this, so I own this). They are usually compose of members from other anime whom I feel can be worthy to be members because I feel that they seem fitting for what I visualize it. They may have the same personality from their original incarnates, although they can have a little improvements to make them a little better, but they are just alternate characters in an alternate universe.
It does look weird, but knowing I love both metal and anime, I just want to make this, doing this for fun and I can do what I want with it as it's my creativity to make an idealistic metal band for me, but still far from perfect. But I hope you get to somehow at least find it alright.
It's partly inspired by this virtual metal band Dethklok from the show Metalocalypse. The thing is that they're Death Metal and the series they're in usually have a dark and macabre content, with the addition of violence, death, serious subjects and hyperbolic black humor. So in contrast to this, I want my imaginary band to be involved in a more fun way and have an inspiring/encouraging story and that they're more on a metal genre where it's more melodic, heavy and a little aggressive but still kickass, meaningful and inspiring.
They're more involved in lighthearted, fun stuff such as living their lives as otaku metalheads but they can be involved a little serious and some drama stuff (like a slice of life cos I know a band career isn't always smooth sailing but they can get back up and soldier on) as well as action and adventure, depending on what anime that befits them.
Main Genre: Power Metal
Animes for them to be involved in:
This is a made-up fictional imaginary band. I do/made this just for mindless fun and to remind myself. I keep the flame of metal in me burn bright.
I've also created an imaginary elite special operations forces as well, which is usually not a written fanfiction, just something I have in mind, which there are several to list down, from task force Omega (composed of Dog Days and other characters from various animes I know and that go with it well, like a gathering of champions and other badasses, such as Sword Art Online, The Irregular At Highschool, Majikoi, Problem Children, Lyrical Nanoha, Deltora Quest, Akame Ga Kill, so forth) and task unit Rainbow 12 (for Ichika and his girls, along with them having more girls added, so Ichika gets more girls). They're part of proud warrior nations and is instilled in them this proud warrior mindset as well as true professionalism like Gurkhas, they are enhanced by nanobots inside their bodies that make them superhuman and they got a lot of sophisticate weapons at their disposal, from both real and fictional, including from games I know of. I also take in Warhammer 40,000 influences, but it's not totally like Warhammer though.
I have additional elites I like to think of, coming from the 2 Galaxy Angel series (usually the visual novel one, which its going to be a battle harem group) and 2 battle harem groups (each group composed of battle harems from harem animes I know of).
They can be compared to, having the capabilities and doing to the roles of:
For fictional elites, they're comparable to: Ghosts (Call Of Duty), FoxHound (Metal Gear Solid), Kasrkins (Warhammer 40k), Deathwatch (Warhammer 40k), Rainbow Six.
Primary traits and capabilities:
Technologies: Call of Duty (Advanced Warfare, Infinite Warfare, Black Ops II-III), Command & Conquer (GDI, Nod, Allies, Empire of the Rising Sun, European Union), Titanfall, Starcraft (Terran and Protoss), Metal Gear Solid, Killzone, Galaxy Angel, Infinite Stratos, Star Wars
Story essence of: Act of Valor, Star Wars, Starcraft II, Medal of Honor, Galaxy Angel, Idolmaster, Love Live, Metal Gear Solid, Band of Brothers, Kimi no Na Wa (Your Name)
Altogether they'll be involved in missions such as those from real life and from the games I play: Call Of Duty (Modern Warfare series, Advanced Warfare, Black Ops series, Ghosts, Infinite Warfare), Metal Gear Solid series, Splinter Cell series, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Titanfall, Medal Of Honor (2010 and Warfighter), Killzone series, Syphon Filter series, Rainbow Six series.
They live in a nation that's prosperous, advanced, enlightened and wealthy along with a society and essence similar to that of European countries, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand.
Thank you for reading my stories! I appreciate it if you don't flame me or can criticize but not flame me hard, got it?
