Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter. My stories and characters are documented on the Harry Potter Fanon Wiki. There is also a separate Alexandra Quick wiki. I occasionally edit both, but I did not start them and most of the articles were not written by me. They are a community effort, so feel free to make your own contributions (and remember that since the information is not coming directly from the author, they may not always be completely correct). My Writing I have completed six Harry Potter fan fiction novels: Hogwarts Houses Divided This story features Teddy Lupin in his first year at Hogwarts. Many of you have asked about a sequel to Hogwarts Houses Divided. I originally intended it to be a solo story. I have grown quite attached to Teddy and his friends, however, and like J.K. Rowling, I can't help but map out the future for them in my mind. So, I do have a few ideas that might eventually become another story. If I do write a sequel to HHD, it will probably skip ahead a few years. Alexandra Quick and the Thorn Circle This was my first fan fiction story. If you enjoyed Hogwarts Houses Divided, please consider checking out Alexandra Quick. Yes, yes, I know – it's an OC, set in the American wizarding world, and Harry and co. don't appear at all, which is three strikes against it in the minds of most HP fans. But I think it's very much in the same spirit as HHD, and Alexandra is my first and best-loved creation, so I will be returning to her, even though I realize Teddy Lupin stories will always be more popular. And for what it's worth, AQATTC has gotten very good reviews, and no one who's read it has accused me of writing Mary Sues. Alexandra Quick and the Lands Below This is the sequel to Alexandra Quick and the Thorn Circle. While I hope that this story stands up on its own, it does refer to characters and events (and, of course, spoilers) that were introduced in the first book, so I encourage you to read AQATTC first. Alexandra Quick and the Deathly Regiment Book three in the Alexandra Quick series, which follows from events in the previous book. Alexandra Quick and the Stars Above Book four in the Alexandra Quick series. Alexandra Quick and the World Away Book five in the Alexandra Quick series. Alexandra Quick and the Wizard War In progress. Art I have created some banner and cover images for my stories, and some readers have kindly donated fan-art as well. I do not usually reply to each one (though I will answer questions -- assuming you're not posting anonymously, in which case I have no way of replying), but I do read and appreciate all of them. Constructive criticism is welcome. I write to become a better writer (and because I enjoy it, of course), so comments about mood, pacing, theme, characterization, and storytelling are welcome. Reviewers often point things out that the author doesn't see. I don't always agree with every comment, but I always appreciate knowing how readers react to my stories. Feel free to visit my LiveJournal (LiveJournal ID: inverarity) if you want to discuss my stories in more detail, or just cyber-stalk me. Community I have started the C2 community, America in the Potterverse, to collect Harry Potter stories set in the U.S. (Obviously I have a slight bias here.) I'm interested to see how other authors depict the American wizarding world, so if you find any good ones, send me a link. |
