I'm 22 and a Senior in college. I've been into anime since I was in the 8th grade, though I'm mostly into fanfiction now, and I'm trying to slide out of both of those since real life is taking up more and more of my time. With that said, I will probably never manage to slide out completely. I just like it too much.
Also, I know you don't think about stories when they aren't updating, but do you think you could review? I do these stories for enjoyment, but I also do them for readers. When I write, I'm not making any headway on my homework, not doing anything that generates an income or that I can put on a resume, and it certainly isn't making the newspaper I work for any money, which is kind of my job.
While I do prefer praise, I'm not against constructive criticism. Of course, I've been rather silly about it in the past, but I do feel like hearing from my reviews has helped me improve as a writer. When I first started posting stories, I hated proofreading. I was afraid I wouldn't like what I'd written. Well, now I don't mind it. It's probably a little corny, but I enjoy my stories, just as I might enjoy someone else's, and you readers deserve a story with proper grammar and spelling.
Starting now, I will try to pre-write all my stories before I upload them. This whole 'starting only to start again a few years later' is ridiculous.

Works I Am In The Middle Of Writing:
North American Horror Story: This is a story that hasn't been posted yet because it isn't finished. It's based off of the premise of "When England's Away" but with an added subplot inspired by the song, "The Cat's In The Cradle". It probably needs a little revision, because combining the horror genre and a Coming-Of-Age story is more difficult than I imagined. Basically, I don't want it to be heavy handed, but the story is about children, so, yeah, it's a challenge.
Currently Planned Future Works:
Star Trek AU - a story where Kirk is raised by Spock's family as his adopted brother. Features a Kirk who does his best to use his brains to fight and "act Vulcan". Which inevitably leads to problems, since he is not Vulcan and no one will let him forget it. Also features a Spock who is jealous of Kirk at first, but who later tries to become a proper older brother to a younger brother who doesn't want to be protected. Kirk also has some abandonment issues, cause his mom pretty much ditched him on a completely different planet. It was for his own safety and happiness, but still, the kid's gonna feel a little betrayed.
Re-written Kingdom Hearts story - I already have something written for this and an idea of where I want it to go. I have no idea why the first attempt turned into a silly one-shot.
An AU where Hollow!Ichigo and Ichigo are brothers
A Kung Fu Panda story - Po leaves the village, finds a pupil, and desperately hopes she doesn't become evil some day
Adventures of the New and Viral - HIATUS, This will be continued eventually, but I have no ending planned for it. It doesn't matter to me if anyone's reading it by the time I finish it, since I primarily write because I want to, anyway. I do apologize for not writing it all out and then uploading it first.
When The Past Comes To Haunt: This has some more material written for it but it's just been too long and I never really figured out how to continue or finish the story. Derek was supposed to have had his memories of his childhood friend forcibly erased by her father, who was an Alpha, but Derek!Scott could remember her. There was supposed to be funny dialogue and a few scenes where Derek!Scott had to pretend to be Normal!Scott in front of his mom, but, yeah, none of that really came to fruition, and then the next season came out, fans got Nogitsune!Stiles, and it didn't seem like anyone would still be interested. Like other authors, I fall into the trap of not continuing a story when there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in it. I've been on the other side, wanting a writer to continue the story even if I'm the only one reading it, and I know that continuing is the right thing to do, but let me tell you something: I've written for both the Gurren Lagann story and the Teen Wolf story because I got a review that asked me to update, and I didn't get diddly squat.
If you really want me to continue something, PM me and I'll take a crack at it, but if I write a second chapter or a sequel for a story I didn't want to continue and no one says anything, nothing else is happening.
So Much For Sakura's Happy Ending: This is one of my first stories. There's an outline for what I had planned for it on its last "chapter" but it will not and never be finished because I wrote the ending by hand in a notebook and then lost the notebook. I couldn't rewrite everything over and, honestly, the story wasn't even that good. People got possessed and Sakura eventually talked the villain into sacrificing herself to save her. That's everywhere in anime.
Max Goes To New York Again: This will never be continued. I fell out of love with the fandom and James Patterson, decided my planned OC's were too generic, and completely forgot how to continue the story. I even tried bringing Spiderman in to see what happened, but it just didn't work.
After all this is done, I guess I'll retire. It's about time I started writing my own stories.
