BIG UPDATE!

I've recently adopted the story "This is Why I Hate Jewelry" from IAmTheUltimateFangirl. I'm working on pre-writing it, but once it's ready, it'll be coming out on Wednesdays.

Who am I?

Don't know why you'd be here, but it's just little ol' me!

As my username suggests, I'm just a Percy Jackson fan, who wants to delve into the beautiful world Uncle Rick made. Of course, that's a bit of a mouthful, so you can call me Maggie if you want, it's just a pseudonym.

Disclaimer: Obviously, the beautiful world I'm playing around in is Uncle Rick's, and several characters that appear in the story are also his. So. Ya know. Don't take this as gospel. It is just a fanfic after all.

That's about it. I'm pretty boring.

Ah, the next bit is something you've probably seen around, but once again, it's necessary to be repeated.

Dear bullies,

See that girl you just called fat? She is starving herself. You know that girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting on make-up hoping people will like her. That boy you just tripped? He is abused enough at home. See that old man you made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country. See that young boy you just made fun of for always being sick? He has to walk home in the snow cause his family is too poor. That guy you just made fun of for crying? His mother is dying.

Re-Post this if you are against bullying. I bet many of you won't. Your life is probably not as harsh as theirs, or you're just too lazy. Take it as a challenge. You'd be surprised how many people this affects, positively and negatively. A few clicks of your mouse may just save a life, or bring a smile.

Why I don't like Pertemis/other ships including maiden goddesses

Look, I already deal with people saying that asexual/aromantic isn't valid, can't I just have this one character? Please? Please? I just want to see one example in fiction of someone I can relate to. So that's why I don't write any ships that include the maiden goddesses, hunters of Artemis, or the Oracle. So, you know, Rachel.

Why I have a very hard time writing kissing/romantic scenes

And as long as I'm on the subject, because I'm very very aroace, your patience with me as I take days of constant struggle to write actual romantic scenes is appreciated. If you've read Part 2: Chapter 15 of CHB: ANG, please know that I had to annoy my friend who actually is in a relationship with questions like, "What the fuck do they do with their hands? Adjectives as too how I can describe the feelings? What should be going on in her head?" We're lucky she's patient with me, lol.

Percabeth fluff? Easy, the relationship is already there, I just have to write the banter, but it's why a lot of the one-shots end with the couple kissing or whatever. Because I never have before, and have no desire in the future to every kiss anyone, and I can't even be like, here's my fantasized kiss/smut scene (which I don't write, don't request it) because I don't have one. And also, aroace people are different, and not everyone is both aromantic and asexual, and I'm sure not all of them struggle like me, so don't generalize the entire community because of me. There's a spectrum, and I'm on the far end, being both sex and romance averse, but if you want to know more...you can always just do some research. Or even PM me, I don't care.

What am I currently writing?

A lot of stuff, actually! None of it is releasing currently, I'm working on a lot of pre-writing so that I won't be taking a bunch of breaks in between updates, but if you want to know about a specific thing, you can check below. I'm not sure when I'll end up releasing them, but it won't be to much longer. Some of the stuff I've completed, but I want to start posting stuff all at once.

Camp Half-Blood: A New Generation

Update Schedule:

A lot of this is being pre-written right now, but once it is, it will update on Thursdays! This will probably be what delays the rest of the stuff from coming out, because it's crazy long.

Summary:

Camp Half-Blood: A New Generation is about five demi-gods who know nothing about their quest, prophecy or even each other, but need to overcome their differences and mistrust to save the world. As they go, they meet a lot of heroes that are pretty familiar, and have some experience in the whole saving the world thing.

Main Characters:

Ian Malark

A fifteen year old artist, living with his uncle after the death of his parents. Bullied for his art and his race, he suddenly finds himself attacked and at a camp where he learns his father is the Greek God, Dionysus.

Bri Trenton

Guarded, apathetic, and defensive, Bri has been at Camp Half-Blood their entire sixteen years of life. The child of Zeus found themself on the wrong end of Hera's wrath only days after their birth. Saved by the daughter of Percy and Annabeth, this quest is their first time getting a taste of the outside world.

Jo Lynk

The twelve year old daughter of Apollo and Michael Lynk is much more open and understanding than her companions. A gifted archer, if she could get out of her own head, with potential for healing, if she didn't get nauseous at the sight of blood. Jo and her brother Caleb are a quarter French, and often communicate in the language.

Jess Tewers

Nemesis's daughter was taught street fighting and fisticuffs by her father from a young age. After taking on discord, she's brought to camp by Percy and Annabeth's daughter, where she meets the rest of the demigods and her quest. The fourteen year old has a knack at exploiting flaws and weaknesses. Despite a hard shell, she's pretty sweet on the inside-if you can get past her guard.

Caleb Lynk

The first child of Khione to ever arrive at camp, fourteen year old Caleb is immediately thrown into a dangerous quest. Despite minimal training, he manages to hold his own in most fights with a freezing power from his mother. The quiet and brooding type, he's a quarter French, as is his sister. He also has a crush on a certain daughter of Nemesis.

Percy Jackson One-Shots:

Requests are closed for now, until I finish writing what I have back-logged. Any requests that come between now and when they re-open will not be added to my list.

-I'm open to writing about anything that is no more than T-Rated

-I'm open to writing about any ships, slash or het with an exception: I will not write a ship containing any Hunter of Artemis, has taken a vow of chastity (cough, Rachel, cough or maiden goddess. I just can't. I try and give them a chance, and if you really enjoy those ships, more power to you, I'm not hating on you, I just can't. (Pertemis is my notp) Therefore that includes things like: Pertemis, Perthena, Perlia, Perzoe, Perstia, Peranca, Perachel, etc. (why is it always Percy shipped with these people???) It's an aro/ace thing.

-I will not write about any weird age gap stuff, let's keep it legal.

Update Schedule: I'm pre-writing a lot of my back-log, and once I finish some of the other stuff I'm pre-writing, you'll see them once a week on Fridays, and then in December for Fic-mas. Rest assured, I am writing your requests, I'm just not posting them right now.

Summary: In this superhuman/spy AU several characters were part of a government enhancement program that gave them superpowers so they can bust organized crime. Months ago, four members of their team abandoned them and went off the grid. Features a team of superheroes, a team of villains, and a team that organized the government enhancement.

Life, Death, and Rebirth: Before the Pact

Summary: Before the Great Prophecy, there was no Big 3 pact. Follow three different heroes, each with different stories and different godly parents through their short and tragic lives in the 10s, 20s, and 40s, up until the prophecy is issued and the pact is made. Warning: tragedy, not fluffy, much angst, unhappy ending, that's what demigod life usually is yo

Set to start updating: This one I've finished pre-writing, and it's just sitting with my beta. It'll be updating on Tuesdays, but not until I finish the other stuff.

Yes, actually! Although I might make a sequel, or add a chapter if enough people request it.

Some things should remain unbroken

Basically what happened was I was looking for a good Percabeth fic, and realized just how oversaturated high school AUs had become with OC girls being like, "I'm gonna break up Percabeth, just watch me. So I thought to myself, "Well, not everyone is that confident in themselves. And some people are actually good friends like all these girls claim to be, and wouldn't want to break up two of their other friends for selfish reasons" And that's how I came up with this story, featuring an OC, Emberly, 'Emy' as she struggles to navigate her own feelings in a mix of journal entries and first person perspective scenes that they reference.

I know what I'm doing-The Sacrifice of Child

Perachel kid goes back in time to ensure Percabeth happens, because the result of Perachel was a post apocalypse. By ensuring the future of the planet, she in turn dooms herself. Very angsty.

The One Who Suffers

A short tragedy on the even shorter life of Desdemona, a daughter of Zeus. After all, it's an achievement to have lived to go to college for a demigod. And there is no exception if there isn't a bloody and angsty rule that most demigods have to live by.

What else?

I tend to swear a lot, so don't be weirded out if you see me dropping them in my writing.

I give shout-outs to any followers or favorites in the Author's Notes at the end of a chapter, and reply to reviews there as well.

I only post my fics on FFN and AO3, so if you see them anywhere else besides this account, it is stolen. Feel free to reprimand the thief if you want, but honestly...if they're stealing my stuff, what are they doing with their life?
