Author has written 21 stories for Naruto, Legend of Korra, and Harry Potter.
After nearly seven years of writing fanfiction, I have decided to throw in the towel. I want to thank all of you who have supported me, those of you whom have taken the time to read, favorite, or review my stories - I'm grateful each and every one of you!
Please know that I did not come to this decision quickly, nor do I take it lightly; honestly, I've been mulling it over for the better part of two years. In a lot of ways, my writing has taken too much of me away from my family - my time, my attention, my passion - and I want to correct that while I still have the chance. My kids are getting older and I'm moving into a new stage of my life, and something has to give. For better or worse, I've decided that this is what I'm willing to give up.
I have deleted most of my wips. My sincere apologies to anyone emotionally attached to Blue Night or Songbird. I find that I don't have the motivation or inspiration to finish either, and since neither are close to completion, I thought it'd be kinder to simply remove them.
Frivolity, on the other hand, is the story that started it all for me, and I cannot properly go into retirement while that story remains unfinished. It is my love song for my ultimate OTP, and I think that it's only right that this is the story I go out on... With only three chapters to go, my hope is to complete the story before the end of the year.
I have also deleted four completed stories. I did this with a very heavy heart; losing all those lovely reviews had me bawling, you've no idea. But unfortunately, my kids have discovered my penname and, frankly, some of my stories I do not want them to read. Most of my mature stories I was able to edit so that they could fall under the 'teen' rating. But for the four that I deleted, it was impossible to give them the same treatment. Have no fear though! They are still available on AO3, since there I was able to orphan those works rather than delete them. Feel free to pm me if you need their names or want more information on how to find them.
Of course, this doesn't mean I'll be disappearing. Fandom life's been good to me, and I doubt I'll ever give it up entirely. You'll still find me hanging out on tumblr or hawthorn & vine, and I'll still definitely be reading and reviewing other people's stories.
I just won't be writing more of my own.
