![]() Author has written 17 stories for Bleach, D.Gray-Man, American Dragon: Jake Long, Yu Yu Hakusho, Count Cain: God Child, Source Code, and Young Justice. Hello! You don't know my name, and I don't feel prompted to give it. It's nice to meet you. Behind my Name Previously known under the name TimeGoesBackwards, I am now vivevoce. vivevoce is a bastardization of the Latin phrase viva voce which literally means 'living voice'; or more accurately, 'by word of mouth'. The latter name was already taken, so I used the former. I pronounce it the Italian way though, for kicks. [vee-vay VOH-chay] Yeah, I'm all up in them 'ch' sounds. (No, I'm not Italian by the way.) (And no, I'm not the indie band by the same name either.) My Current Age Seventeen, baby. Soon to be licensed to drive. Wish me luck. 7/13: Licensed to kill and thrill, awww yea. Eye Color Dark Brown. Hair Color Supposedly black, but years of sun have bleached it to the point where sometimes I will see myself in the rearview mirror and think, 'Whoa. when'd that orange get there.' My Current Height Like, five feet plus? I'm very proud of this. I can see over the counter at Starbucks. Gender Female My Favorite Writing Genre Doesn't exist. I don't believe in labels. It's hard for me to write a story as completely a Comedy or a Tragedy. It kills me when I have to rummage through the Humor, Angst and Romance tabs, because I like to use a bit of everything in my writing. My Life Story What do you want to know about me? I'm great. I've never broken a bone before, but have twisted an ankle and fallen down an escalator. I like tulips and irises and dandelion puffs. Mediterranean and Indian food is the best. I love to make people laugh. That's my goal out of every conversation in life. I make wicked awesome sketches, but don't consider myself ingenuous enough to be a true artist. My blood type's B positive. I love reading and writing, and get 3.8's without killing myself. (It's Jan. 2012, and I retract this statement. Junior year has murdered my GPA.) I have an odd number of teeth. I have a fondness for indie rock. (Having a hipster friend will do that to you.) At the moment, I'm listening to a lot of the Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Broken Bells, and Black Keys. Oldies like Nat King Cole and Bobby Darin comfort me. Gorillaz, Queen and Beatles are forever. I hate cantaloupe. Despite being extremely bouncy and emphatic, I'm too stiff and uncoordinated for dancing. I'm a karaoke-worthy singer. I love falling asleep to the sound of heavy rain. My sense of humor is loud, nonstop and (good-naturedly) sarcastic. I'm Asian, first generation. I'm patient with people and projects, but not with much else. I'm the oldest child. Ironically, every career aptitude test I've ever taken has told me I should become a funeral director. (My friend tells me everyone needs a perky funeral director, which I guess makes sense.) If I had a comedian twin, it would be Steve Carrell. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard are respectively my idols. I want to go zip-lining through the Colombian rain forest or scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. I'm alarmingly extroverted. I think Dutch or Portuguese would be pretty cool languages to speak. So yeah. I'm a pretty normal person. I like life :) Even MORE on vivevoce My real name begins with a 'C'. I grew up in California, and am rather vague, yet specific. (As just demonstrated.) I am guilty of prodigious use of commas and I absolutely murder the semicolon key; like I did just now. I write for two reasons: I write as a way of entertaining myself, and I write things that I want to read. Writing's fun, and challenging, and comfortable. It's a way for me to jot down feelings, ideas, and dreams on paper. A way to make something abstract into something concrete and real. It's a way of letting off steam. It's a part of my life I'm never going to get tired of, or let go of. I love writing. ...Too bad I'm aiming to be a vet. Edit: Nope, back to being an undecided major. Sigh, c'est la vie. When vivevoce is not writing, she can commonly be found at her desk, rereading her writing. Surprise her by dropping her stories a review. |
