Author has written 8 stories for Twilight.
That's raspberry FroYo with a slice of lemon. You may understand why.
Things about me:
I am: a liberal, of average height and weight for a female, a writer, a book nerd, a slight bit ocd, a beta, a feminist, a lover of music and books, a blood and marrow donor, a nail biter, a student of SFSU, from a small town in Northern-Central California but now live in the Bay Area, always in love with love, moving on from one fandom to another, thinking about a new penname.
I am not: a man, willing to stay where I am, comfortable with fake nails, fashion-savvy, a slow or kind driver, a coffee adict, a tease on purpose, a chronic texter (getting there), good at any kind of math but calculus especially, religious, happy when people don't know 'you're' v 'your' or text me things like 'u r kewl'.
I like: writing, most music, iced tea, smocks, my laptop (Vivian), rollerblading, yoga, pillows, literature, Fro-Yo, ice cream, trying new things, mango fruit smoothies, good fics, swimming, the sun, night blooming jasmine, shoes in general but heels especially, the color purple, the number 18, people, the words 'fuck,' 'surreptitious,' and 'voluptuous' (really, any V-word).
I don't like: the word 'heart,' Romeo and Juliet, running, flip flops that break, being concise, insomnia, horror movies, Uggs, losing umbrellas, people who complain, hypocrites like myself, people who don't accept others, the thought of ending my life alone, the thought of losing people I love, suicide.
I write fanfiction when I have an idea, post in rough draft form, and was stuck in the Twi-Fic-verse because of great writing by authors better than me, friends, and maybe Robert Pattinson's jawline.
However, as of late, I have... well, I am branching out in different fandoms now. Namely Harry Potter for my OTP HP/DM, soon to be writing XMFC for Erik/Charles (assuming I finish H/D hols, oh god), and who knows what other pairings will end up on that list. I'm dedicated in ways you do not know to those ships. In fact, I've a new account on ff.net, to keep everything more in order and to make it neater, since this page is so unorganized and... not neat. If you're looking for my Drarry profile, it's imprint of a doe.
I spend way too much time reading fics. I write anything from fluff to tragedy, so the only reliable thing is my writing style--which changes often, so I suppose it's not so reliable. I'm also nearly done writing in the Twilight fandom--unless some feral Twi-plot bunny attacks me and manages to take me by surprise one day. I'm starting to get weirded out by reading het now. Focusing on slash for half a year might do that to a girl.
I hope you enjoy reading either my stories or those on my favorites list. Feel free to rec stories to me whenever you feel the need!
IcelandGirl812 is a sweetheart and a Georgia peach herself, as well as one of my favorite people ever. I love that she texts me random pictures of hot guys she encounters, is my twin-twinny, and is fine with me calling her luffle. Even if she refuses to give in and read HP despite my pleading, somehow our love just continues to grow.
Which may be why she made me this beautiful banner for my story Peaches, my O/S entry for the Plot Bunny Contest.
MentalistECBM is another good friend in the fandom--well, technically, she's one of my Whoring Wordy Wives. It was she who first introduced me to Drarry fics. We've since bonded over many things, many pairings, and so much else we can't admit to. I adore betaing for her and collaborating with her, even if she does ask me at the last minute. It turns out I miss her fantastically when she's gone, too. It makes perving so much more difficult.
I once betaed as a member of Project Team Beta. I recommend them if you need betas for a story: you can go here to submit a story for editing from the first chapter/oneshot or apply to be a beta. I have also betaed for numerous lovelies like cocomama101 and nise7465 in the past. I haven't betaed in ages now, except for Mental, really, and probably won't be any time soon.
Apparently, my Geekward Shuffle Challenge Entry "Stutter Now" tied for Best Geekward Rendition over at The Fictionators. Nobody told me, but still, it's exciting! heh.
Peaches actually did well in the Plot Bunny Contest. SorceressCirce chose it as her favorite and subsequently awarded it the 'Say It Ain't So' Award! And, uh, heh. If you scroll down to MsKathy's Judge's pick, she 'really wanted to give "Peaches" by hyacinthgirl18 the "Kick You in the Cooter" award,' but could only give one. This... makes me giggle. A lot.
I was nominated for "Best Tragedy" over at the Silent Tear Awards for my story "Broken Wings." I don't know if winners were ever announced for those though...
The newest (and maybe last?) thing I posted on this profile is "Lost", which is based on the numerous spy dreams I seem to enjoy. Wrote it ages ago--waited in case the fundraiser I wrote it for actually got back to me, but it's obviously posted now. Despite the fact that I'd already switched fandoms when I wrote it, I think I still rather like it.
I deleted a few of my earliest works, largely because they made me cringe when I reread them. heh. Those were things I wrote when I was *young*. (Not that I'm old now, but, older, at least, and my writing is much improved.) So if you were looking for A Star in the Night or The Thin Line Between Loathing and Loving, they're no longer online.
~“You cannot fully read a book without being alone. But through this very solitude, you become intimately involved with people whom you might not have met otherwise, either because they have been dead for centuries or because they spoke languages you cannot understand. And nonetheless, they have become your closest friends, your wisest advisors, the wizards that hypnotize you, the lovers you have always dreamed of.” – The Power of the Pen, Antonio Munoz Molinas
