Author has written 13 stories for Hunger Games, and Edge Chronicles.

Autistic, Asexual, she/her, INTJ, Hufflepuff, District 3

My name is an Bright Eyes reference inside a Six of Crows reference.
I consider myself 70% nerd, 20% hipster and 10% goth, 100% Evil Author (don’t worry, I’m only evil to my characters)
I was rooting for Treech when I read TBOSAS and I regret nothing. What can I say? I love a good D7 Villain.
I’m STILL in my Nico di Angelo phase. Wake me up later.

Fun Fact: I have a friend who knows someone who knows Hiroki Berrecloth. I am not making this up. This is what happens when you’re British and you make friends with the drama kids.

Quote that inspires my writing the most: “I am going to become an ecological disturbance.” - Jeon Wonwoo, Going Seventeen Episode 100 (Going Rangers #2) (It makes even more sense in the context of the episode)

I used to call myself QueenOfFunerals37 but I changed my username a little for personal reasons.

I do not support racism, sexism, homophobia or any kind of discrimination. Copying and pasting all-caps slurs into my reviews will not make me change my mind. If you’re thinking of doing that, log off, take a look in the mirror, touch some grass and reconsider your life choices. You’re not achieving anything.

Be Positive!

Reader, you are powerful. We live in a world that is sometimes a scary place. To me, being on this site is a lot like being a goth (and, by goth, I mean that I like Medieval architecture and Noel Fielding’s hair, not that I write mean things about ‘The evil preps’). Being on FanFiction.net gives me and every other author an opportunity to express ourselves and try to build a positive community around a bunch of nerdy things that we like.

One of my favourite things about writing Hunger Games fanfiction is reading good reviews. Part of me wants to be all Conor Oberst and yell “I DO NOT READ THE REVIEWS!” (another thing about me... the indie references are unavoidable) but if I was writing just for myself, I would stick to writing on paper. The truth is, I love reading positive reviews. Not just because they make me feel good about myself but also because they give me so many ideas. If you send me a review saying ”Why didn’t [insert character here] do [insert smart thing to do here]?” there’s a chance I’ll write an AU about it.

If you’re considering sending me a negative review (I’m not sure why you’d be reading this if you are or even if you’d take anything I’d say to heart but here goes) think for a second. Consider what enjoyment you might get out of leaving a negative review. Maybe you can get enjoyment in a better way. Does posting that negative review make you feel powerful? Maybe posting a positive one will make you feel powerful as well. I’m sure we can all agree that getting positivity from someone on this site gives you a brilliant feeling. Guess what? We all have the power to make people feel good, and that’s the greatest power we could ever have.

In the unlikely event that you’re here because someone gave you a negative guest review claiming to be me (I have no evidence of that happening but I like to prepare for the worst) you’ll just have to take my word that I didn’t do it. I get massive guilt trips even if I upset someone by accident. Heck, I’d probably feel guilty if I found out that I’d made Ed Sheeran cry, and he is my arch nemesis (it used to be Bruno Mars but then he had a redemption arc with Die With A Smile and APT). I, like Cinna, channel my emotions into my work. That way, I don’t hurt anyone but my characters (and my readers but they volunteered as tribute for this. I apologise in advance for any plot twists, cliffhanger endings and character deaths that rip your heart out).

Thus ends my message of positivity. Thank you for reading this.

I write my first drafts on paper so it’ll take me a while to start uploading new stories. However, once I start publishing, I will just blaze through a story. Real life is very busy so I’m more likely to update on weekends and holidays (based on British time).

My list of Hunger Games AUs:

I’m planning to write a few AUs because all my favourite characters (*cries over Finnick and Treech*) die in the main universe (which I have nicknamed the Killerverse). Here’s a list of my AUs and the stories in them so far (there aren’t many yet). I also named them all after songs so I have a quick way of naming them.

The Killerverse:
The Third Quarter Quell wasn’t always going to force twenty-four victors back into the arena. It was only when rebellion in Districts 3 and 8 spiralled out of control that President Snow realised that the star-crossed lovers weren’t the only threat worth eliminating...
The Bride and The Widow: The first story I ever published! I recommend reading this one first because all my other stories will probably spoil the victor.
All I do is Lose: The story of seventy-five victors over seventy-five years. Read this after The Bride and The Widow because it will contain spoilers. Don’t try to be smart and just avoid Chapter 72 either. There will be time skips. Please heed this warning. I have your best interests at heart.
Names Crossed Out: A story about the tributes of the Tenth Hunger Games (especially Treech). You can read it whenever you want. It has nothing to do with any of my other stories.
If We Met Up At Midnight: Another story about the Tenth Hunger Games, except this time I’ve given up on pretending that Treech isn’t the main character. I’d recommend reading this before Shadows Of Us, just to set the scene. They are a little bit like parallel versions of each other. It also ties in with All I Do Is Lose but I don’t think it spoils any major twists.

The Bladeverse
In the Capitol zoo, an opportunistic tribute decides to steal jewellery from visitors through the bars of the cage. When another tribute kills her mentor, the thief has no choice but to slip his stolen goods into his mentor’s pocket before he can be searched. This changes their relationship and alters the course of the Tenth Hunger Games and Panem itself.
Shadows of Us: There may be spoilers for the first nine chapters of All I Do Is Lose.

The Riververse
It was a matter of wrong place, wrong time, wrong victor. All it took was a drunk Capitolite vomiting all over someone’s shoes on the street and the urban districts didn’t have a martyr. And without a martyr, the rebellion was so much quieter. The president still changed the Quell Twist but he spared the victors. All but two victors, that is.
On the seventy-fifth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that the Capitol will always be able to recover from any loss they cause, the two most recent living victors from each district must mentor their final opponent from their games, regardless of their opponent’s age, district or gender.
Twenty-two tributes are to be brought back from the dead, only to be forced into the arena again...
From The Ashes: I went there and wrote a resurrection games because I regret killing off a certain character (you probably already know who they are). There will be major spoilers for all stories in the Killerverse as early as Chapter 1.
Phoenix: A sequel to From The Ashes. Read this after From The Ashes because there will definitely be spoilers.

The Magnoliaverse:
A team of gamemakers were told to find two very special tributes for a very special Hunger Games. The girl was easy. They found a middle-class criminal, a teenage rebel without a cause.
But the boy is a lot harder...
After months of whittling down the potential tributes, the gamemakers have a shortlist. An athlete, a prodigy and a showman. Desperate, they call on the escort, the man responsible for reading the right name at the reaping. The man arrives, late, having overslept. He was in such a hurry, he’d forgotten his contact lenses. When they lay out the forms for him the words blur. The photos all look the same. He overlooks the showman’s pretty face and picks the athlete by chance.
So one boy goes into the Hunger Games. Another carries on with his life, not knowing that he would’ve been doomed had a complete stranger not forgotten his contacts...
Lucky Thirteen: I came up with the idea for this one while I was writing Panemian Dream but most of it is set beforehand. It helps to know some of the characters beforehand and there will definitely be spoilers for The Bride And The Widow.
Panemian Dream: I’d recommend reading my Killerverse stories first just to get a bit of background. There’ll probably be a couple spoilers for them. You don’t need to read anything from the Riververse (in fact, if you come here straight from Phoenix, you will probably be very confused. Sorry guys).

The Shimmerverse:
There was a betrayal in the arena of the Seventy-Second Hunger Games. A betrayal that succeeded. A tribute was murdered by their district partner in their sleep, a tribute who would’ve won, who would’ve become a rebel. Without them, there were no victors left who worried the president enough, save the lovers from District 12. They could be dealt with using the old “final opponent” twist.
And they were.
The victor of the Seventy-Fifth Hunger Games was not a rebel nor a loyalist. He was a boy who’d once been dead, who just wanted to get back to his boyfriend. A boy who could sell the star-crossed lovers angle, appease the masses. He thanked the Capitol for his second chance at winning the games with shining eyes. The rebellion died. The Hunger Games continued...
Star-Crossed: There will be spoilers for The Bride and The Widow. I also recommend reading From The Ashes first, just because that goes into more detail on the Quell and some of the background characters in it. That being said, it’ll probably be a very big mood whiplash if you go straight from From The Ashes to this.
Yours Faithfully: Sequel to Star-Crossed.
Panem et Circenses: My Tributember 2024 story which is specifically set in this verse and I only managed to write 25.5 chapters for. Spoilers for Star-Crossed and Yours Faithfully. Also there’s gonna be a Treech chapter because… reasons.
